Lily had procurred a classroom, as she so often did. Today it was an empty music room with a piano and Lily headed straight for it, sitting down on the bench, before uncovering the key. Now to start, she thought to herself.
It took several minutes of thinking on song which she could play as well as sing to practice but once she had the song she smiled knowing today's practice would go over splendidly. She had about two hours and she be able the one song and several other, really.
Placing her fingers gently on the keys she started playing, 'Today was a fairytale' by Taylor Swift, happy here brother had taught her the notes on piano when he saw how much she like the song.
The notes floated softly through the room filling it, as well as drifting down the hall. Once she had her rhythm about her, she started to sing.
"Today was a fairytale You were the prince I used to be a damsel in distress You took me by the hand and you picked me up at six Today was a fairytale
Today was a fairytale
Today was a fairytale I wore a dress You wore a dark grey t-shirt You told me I was pretty when I looked like a mess Today was a fairytale ..."

Andrea's brother Lucas had recently decided that Taylor Swift was "really hot", and ... while Andrea could not disagree that she was hardly bad-looking, he WAS starting to get a bit sick of hearing her music pouring from his bedroom every single afternoon. So he had considered it a bit of a blessing that he had Math Team today - extra credit for his Algebra class again, and on top of that, a few less repetitions of his younger brother's two favorite songs.
Math Team was over now, and he felt he had done decently on this week's problems. There were fewer of them that made him gape in confusion like a moron, anyway. With any luck, the one he had thought was easy actually had been and he had gotten it right, but part of Andrea was still reluctant to count his chickens before x > 31.
The dancer made his way back to his locker - he still had a little while longer before the late buses came, and he figured he would try to get his reading for history done before he went home so he would not have to haul the half-ton hardcover textbook home and back again. As he passed one of the small practice rooms for music, though, he heard a voice singing, of all things, Taylor Swift from within.
Laughing a little and sighing as he put a palm to his forehead, Andrea paused outside the door to peer into the doorway just to see who was in there. He could not recognize the voice, at least.

Lily could not help but to grin as she sang, her voice rising a bit louder as she got into the song and the words and music filled her. Truly she wanted to dance to, but it was impossible to dance, sing and play all at once, so she opted for the sing and play only. She was better at those to things anyway.
She hardly noticed boy peering in at her and continued to sing, her soft sweet voice sounding nothing like Taylor and making the song uniquely almost her own.
"...Time slows down when ever you're around
But can you feel this magic in the air? It must have been the way you kissed me Fell in love when I saw you standing there It must have been the way Today was a fairytale It must have been the way Today was a fairytale
Today was a fairytale You've got a smile that takes me to another planet Every move you make everything you say is right Today was a fairytale
Today was a fairytale All that I can say is now it's getting so much clearer Nothing made sense until the time I saw your face Today was a fairytale ..."

The girl in the piano room seemed not to notice that she was being watched, which made Andrea feel at once both amused and awkward. But he felt like he should at least wait for her to finish the song. If nothing else, if he heard only half of it, the song would be stuck in his head for the rest of the afternoon.
Maybe he could do his reading right outside, just until she was done. He moved out of the doorway so he would not feel like as much of a creeper, and set his backpack down to dig his book out. As long as he stopped by his locker at some point before the bus came, so he could drop off the book when he was done. He unzipped his backpack and pulled out the history text--
-- but while he was opening it, it slipped out of his hands and hit the linoleum hallway floor with a loud thud. Andrea winced and bent down slowly to pick it up, but watched the doorway the whole time. Hopefully the girl had not heard that....

" ... Time slows down whenever you're around, yeah
But can you feel this magic in the air? It must have been the way you kissed me Fell in love when I saw you standing there It must have been the way Today was a fairytale It must have been the way Today was a fairytale
Time slows down whenever you're around I can feel my heart ..." Lily looked up hearing a thud, over her music. It was soft, but audible which only told her it had been loud. Her eyes swept over the classroom, taking a few minutes before they focused on the door and more important the boy standing on the other side. She could feel her cheeks flush slightly as she removed herself from the piano bench and headed for the door.
Open it, she gave a small smile, though her eyes read only of embarrassment. "I'm sorry. I hope you did not need to use this classroom or maybe I was too loud," she said softly, her statement sounding as questioning as they were meant to be. She wasn't embarrassed to be caught singing, no, she did not mind being watched. She was embarrassed at the thought that maybe she had been discourteous and it showed in her body language.

Andrea hurriedly picked up the hefty book and clutched it in both hands. "Oh, no, I was just sitting out in the hall to read, and noticed you were playing music here," he told her, hoping that she really had not noticed him watching her the whole time. She seemed pretty flustered, though, which admittedly baffled the boy a little - he was the one spying, and the one who had gone and dropped his book like an idiot right outside the door while trying to be all sneaky.
"Sorry, I really didn't meant to interrupt your practice session," the boy said, holding the book under one arm while he brushed his fringe out of his eyes. "I figured I'd listen and save a little iPod battery since that song was sorta stuck in my head anyway."

Lily sighed lightly, "Oh I thought maybe I was keeping you from practice or something like that. I mean I could practice at home, but I really like practicing here."
Lily opened the door wide as the boy spoke. She smiled at his comment and started to laugh a bit. "Is that so?"
She moved back away from the door, "Well then you should have come in. It is a lot easier to hear if you an on the right side of the door." Lily extended her hand to the boy, nervousness washed a way and replaced with a cheerful, vibrant smile.
"I'm Liliana Jacob, nice to meet you. I'm guessing you like my singing them, please come in. I'd really do not mind helping you save some battery life on your ipod. I love to sing for an audience and I really do not get to do it often enough."
Lily headed back for the piano, well practically skipping her way over. She did a quick twirl when she reach it, before plopping down on the bench as gracefully as possible.
Looking to the boy, she smiled lightly, "You say you had Today was a Fairy Tale stuck in your head, so I could finish singing that, unless you'd like to hear something else. Just name it, I probably know it."

Andrea gathered up his backpack and zipped it halfway, then picked up the textbook again and shrugged. "Sure, I can take up a seat in here with you, I guess. Be your audience while I get some reading done if you really don't mind." At least she did not think him creepy for hanging around outside or anything.
As for what song, "Uh, you can go ahead and finish that one, since I went and messed up your groove there in the middle. And then maybe ... I dunno, do you know any Lady Gaga?" Maybe Andrea was not supposed to like that sort of music, but he could not deny that "Bad Romance" got stuck in his head pretty well, too. Maybe that and the Taylor Swift would cancel each other out in his brain?
He dropped his backpack over next to one of the chairs in the room, then moved back to the girl to introduce himself. "I'm Andrea Gyfford, nice to meet you, too." The boy offered his right hand to shake, then hefted his textbook with his left. "And a sophomore, with some delightful history to read. You do sound pretty good, I must say. I can't really sing, myself."

Lily smiled happily, "Thanks. I love to sing. I have been singing for as long as I can remember."
She turned looking over the over the key on the piano trying to remember where she'd left off, but it wasn't coming to her, so she started to play it again softly from the beginning, before looking to Andrea again.
"So I'll finish the one song, which is a good thing too, because I have not quite gotten it perfect. Made it my own you know? Then Lady Gaga, huh? I know almost all of her songs. She is really popular now and their is just something so catchy about her song. The really get stuck in you head."
She was starting to get the part where she left off she she focused on the piano once more, "Just let me know which song you would like to here, when I am done with this one. I know them all, so pick whichever you like best."
'One, two, three,' she thought to herself as she came onto the part of the song she'd left off at.
"Time slows down whenever you're around I can feel my heart It's beating in my chest Did you feel it? I can't put this down
But can you feel this magic in the air? It must have been the way you kissed me Fell in love when I saw you standing there It must have been the way But can you feel this magic in the air? It must have been the way you kissed me Fell in love when I saw you standing there It must have been the way Today was a fairytale It must have been the way Today was a fairytale ...,"
She sang closing her eyes and really enjoying the music she was making. She sang as best she could really putting her all into it, and feeling very happy to have someone listen.
As she finished the song, she hummed lightly still playing for a few more moment, before looking up to Andrea once more.

Andrea plunked himself down in the chair, and rested his elbows on his knees as he flipped open his history text to the assigned chapter. Reading went a bit slow while following the words to the song in his head, but his teacher had only mentioned class discussion for the next period; as long as he could sound halfway intelligent about ... an overview of Aztec history, then the sophomore figured he would be alright.
When Liliana finished, he sat back and rested the open hardcover book across his lap to free up his hands to applaud. "You sound good!" he said with a grin, then chuckled lightly and added, "Much better than my brother."
As for that Lady Gaga song, "Can you do 'Poker Face'? I think that's probably my favorite." Though Andrea knew a couple people who considered it a little too catchy and sort of hated it. "Or 'Bad Romance' if you like that one better."
He glanced down at the page. Sounded like the Aztecs sort of had a bad romance going with their gods. The idea of human sacrifice at once both intrigued him and freaked him out, but the boy supposed if he was in their shoes (sandals? If they wore any?) he might be alright with it.
"Oh, random question, have you done World History yet?" he inquired with a sheepish smile, flipping the pages of the book idly. "Do you know how hard the final is?"

Lily blushed slightly at the applause, she should have been use to it, she preformed at the time at the community center, but still her cheeks flushed red.
"Thank you, I've been practicing that one very hard. Learning to play it and trying to keep time while sing can be harder than it looks. I really love it though."
Lily leaned back listening as he asked about Lady Gaga. Her face errupted into a bright grin, "I know them both. I learned them as soon as I heard them. I really like Poker face as well though it isn't my favorite song." Lily gave a small giggle, "No, that goes to a much older song, but Poker Face right?"
Lily turned back to the keyboard looking over the keys trying to remember which note she needed to start of with for the song, fore she did not have the sheet music and trying to remember the first line. She tried out the first few notes on a set of keys before Andrea's question made her look over to him.
"Hmm? Oh World History, huh? Yes, I took that last year. I would have to say that it was not to terrible, no, it was okay. Most of the information to that was on the mid-term did not reappear of the final. It was pretty much all what we had learned in the second semester. I studied all the time though, so I'm not sure you can take my word for it."
Lily smiled light before turning back to the keys and noticing remembering where she was suppose to start off, "I'd say study key terms from the first semester and everything important from the second."
Lily began to play, smiling to herself and slipping into her own world.

He nodded at he reply, but frowned a little. "Mmkay, that's what the teacher told us, that it'd be mostly second-semester stuff only. But I should look for my vocab sheets from last semester anyway?" Andrea was pretty sure he remembered first semester's major concepts pretty well, and he had done quite well on the midterm. He was just not fully sure where those papers had ended up. They were in one of three places, he figured, since he was still pretty organized, but, well, Andrea was not quite perfect. And there was always the possibility that his mom or his dad had just thrown them away.
"Or, do you think the midterm test itself would help?" He knew he had that in his history binder.
He fell quiet as she started playing again, listening while she picked out the song and started playing. He could be patient, and really, he should probably just study everything. While he waited, Andrea flipped back towards the front of his text and scanned over the table of contents, and settled for taking some time to dog-ear the pages of vocabulary.
A few moments later, though, he was lip-syncing the words along with the girl's playing. Which slowed down his studying progress considerably, but was also more fun.

Lily sang out loud and clear the words to poker face.
"Mum mum mum mah Mum mum mum mah
I wanna hold em' like they do in Texas please Fold em' let em' hit me raise it baby stay with me (I love it) LoveGame intuition play the cards with Spades to start And after he's been hooked I'll play the one that's on his heart
Oh, oh, oh, oh, ohhhh, oh-oh-e-oh-oh-oh I'll get him hot, show him what I've got Oh, oh, oh, oh, ohhhh, oh-oh-e-oh-oh-oh, I'll get him hot, show him what I've got
Can't read my, Can't read my No he can't read my poker face (she's got me like nobody) Can't read my Can't read my No he can't read my poker face (she's got me like nobody)
P-p-p-poker face, p-p-poker face (Mum mum mum mah) P-p-p-poker face, p-p-poker face (Mum mum mum mah) ... ," the words flowed through the room coming out in her own unique style but still keeping the rhythm and uniqueness of the song. It was a lovely thing to her and she did not stop until she gone through the whole song.
When it was over she turned to face Andrea once more, "You were asking about vocabulary before, right? The bolded words, the ones from the book always show up, the unbolded less likely."
Lily smiled," Is there anything else I can help you with, or would you like for me to sing another song?"
