As much as she tried, she couldn't get that stupid girl out of her head. Dana was irritably chewing a pencil now that she was back home, ignoring the homework currently laid out on her desk. Her fuku had been so stupid. But more importantly, why had a fellow senshi felt so bad? She didn't know how else to describe it. The girl had just felt wrong, like the few Negaversers she'd encountered. That raised all sorts of unpleasant questions in her mind. Maybe Mags would know more?
Oh, what was she saying. She was the leader here! She'd have to find out the answers on her own, if she wanted them! More importantly, what had been up with that Caedus guy? The girl shot a sharp look over to her dresser, where she currently had one of the crystals he'd been handing out stuffed in a sock. For now, she had no intention of using such a thing. Draining people's energy? How the hell did that make them the good guys? More importantly, were the other senshi really stupid enough to believe in this stranger?
It seemed like it. Sigh. No wonder they were losing this fight. And, well, if they weren't losing, they sure weren't winning.
Pushing her chair back and tossing her pencil down, Dana stomped over to her dresser and pulled it open, snatching up the sock and twirling it around in her hand. She supposed it could be used to drain energy from the bad guys, right? But still! That didn't seem heroic at all. For a girl who didn't have any magical attacks she could use though... Dan's frown deepened as she considered the possibilities.
The girl quietly crept to her bedroom door, pressing her ear against it to listen. Silence. Her mom must have finally gone to bed. Carefully, she snatched her henshin pen up, stuffing the sock-imprisoned crystal into her pocket as she slipped downstairs and out the door. Homework could wait! There was patrolling to be done. Maybe she'd find that girl again and, Dan grimly thought to herself, she could get some gum stuck in her stupid pink hair.
Once she had fled a safe distance away from her neighborhood, she lifted her head above her head. "Dorado Power Make-up!" She called, and immediately felt the power inside of her bloom forth. It was an intoxicating rush she'd never get over, feeling her fuku materialize around her body as she transformed from ordinary school girl into crime-fighting super heroine. Once the power up was complete, Sailor Dorado stood tall and proud. Well, as tall as she could, anyway. She couldn't sense any weird energy signatures in the area, which was almost disappointing. Still, better than baddies thinking they could prowl around her home turf!
Still aware of the crystal she had on her person, she raced down the street into the night. Maybe she'd test her theory on this thing! ...Or maybe she'd find a way to smash it into a million little pieces and get rid of it, once and for all.

Dan was sore.
She'd wholly embraced the concept of self-defense classes, throwing herself into them with a fiery passion that had alarmed her instructor. These were for self-defense, she'd reminded the girl, not for picking fights! Dana waved off the concerns. She wasn't going to pick fights with innocent people! She was picking fights with people who wanted to hurt the innocent... and, you know, giant monsters that could swallow people whole or chew them into itty-bitty shreds.
There was a downside to being so determined about improving, though, and it came in the form of overworked muscles and the inability to do little more than limp around. Still, her confidence could not be dimmed. If anything, Dan's mood was at an all-time high! She and Mags were training hard, they'd managed to take out a youma, and neither of them had gotten badly hurt by those weird Negaversers!
Of course, she thought with a frown as she gingerly flopped down on her bed, that didn't explain the weird senshi who'd attacked her or the one who'd gone after Duhr... The blonde girl had gotten roughed up by some boy, and that didn't sit well with her at all. Not for the first time, she wished Ophelia was around so she could pester her with questions. How many senshi were there? Why were some of them being stupid and fighting against them? The thought made her teeth gnash, and she rolled over irritably to distract herself. The motion sent fresh motions of pain rippling through her tired body, and Dana groaned into her pillow.
Maybe Mags had been more successful than she had at ferreting out information... she doubted it, but there was always a chance! Loathe as she was to admit it, Sailor Duhr was much more useful at attacking when it came to battles... Why, no one would be able to stand up to her in a one on one, especially if she had them cornered.
That was it! She sat up so abruptly that she winced, gingerly rubbing her back. Duhr could help her catch and interrogate one of those dumb senshi who thought they were all that and a bag of chips! Unbidden, the memory of that snotty pink-haired senshi came to mind, and she found herself curling her lip. She'd love to see what she looked like after a tornado whipped through that stupid hair and fuku of hers!
Grinning to herself with a very evil expression, Dan made a note to contact Mags as soon as she could. She'd have done it now, but.... her phone was still in her bag.... which was still on the floor, in front of her door... it could wait.
At that very moment, her mother called, telling her to wash up and come down to eat. Dana groaned loudly and pressed her palms against her eyes, wishing it weren't so. "Just another day as a super hero..." She mumbled, bracing herself for the inevitable ache as she forced her throbbing legs to swing themselves off the side of her bed.

It wasn't often that Dana McZeal found herself disturbed and confused, but here they were. After the run-in with that horrible excuse of a cat, she found herself distracted and irritable, questions turning over and over in her head. Senshi... who were evil? Willingly? Why? Why would they ever choose such a thing? Oh, sure, every super hero needed a super villain to go against, one that could hurt them both physically and emotionally.... but this was just stupid!
Grinding her teeth, Dana flopped down on her bed, carefully running her hands over the cover of the sleek, unused binder that Mags had gotten her for Christmas. The front was already decorated with all sorts of art thanks to the new markers she'd gotten, too, but the inside was still blank.
Until now.
Grimly, Dana flipped open the binder and began to write, kicking her feet in the air as she did so. First and foremost, these senshi. They were connected to the Negaverse, right? Or, that's what the cat had implied, anyway. So... they were working with the Negaverse. Why??? She wrote in bold letters in red, an arrow pointing to the notes she'd been jotting down so far.
A thought hit her so suddenly that her marker went skidding across the paper.
What if she captured one of these senshi? What better way to find out some real answers??
She started scribbling out ideas furiously that ranged from mildly plausible to outright ridiculous. Booby traps, epic battles, blasts of magical power that could forcibly drive the evil out of the senshi's body... Eventually, she frowned, tapping the end of the marker to her chin. With Mags, they might just have a chance. Dan's agility boost could give them the upper-hand, while Mags' tornado would quite literally knock the heck out of anyone unfortunate enough to get caught.
The potential consequences of this attempt never even occurred to her. Why wouldn't they succeed? So far, her and Mags had been an unstoppable duo. They'd taken on everything that had been thrown at them without too much trouble!
...But, they'd never fought another senshi before. At least she hadn't. And she didn't count Miss Snooty's candy lobbing as a real senshi's ability, thank you very much! Scoffing at the memory of that gangling, stupid fuku'd girl, Dana quickly doodled a crude drawing of her powered up self giving a black-eye to the stupid candy senshi.
Sigh. She was going to have to contact Mags later and discuss this new plan of attack. After all, as the leader of the group, she decided what they were going to do, and how to do it! She just hoped her friend could get time off from work to do it. Mags tended to work all sorts of crazy shifts, and Dan didn't want to risk this sort of thing in broad daylight...
"I need a secretary." She grumbled to herself, closing the binder and capping off her beautiful markers. "Or a butler. Batman got a butler, and he's a stupid hero. He doesn't even have Bat powers!"
Grudgingly, she got up to start her homework. She'd shoot Mags a text later to see if she could meet up tomorrow.
