David2074 Bluebelle Babe BlueVidder People are telling me that my tank is glowing, but when they click on it, it won't load and they can't play. I think this is been going on for a while because I have had no posts in my glowing thread for days and my gold has not increased a bit. What is going on and what can I do about it? It's very strange because I just checked your tank on the tank analyzer, and it says your tank will throw 4,800gold during the next game. Incidentally I got the same message from someone about my tank, and it looks fine on the analyzer too! David, where are you? sad Bluebelle, I just played your tank too (different glow) and it worked fine. I don't have time tonight to check the other tank. Perhaps there was something odd due to maintenance? Thanks to you too, David! No, there's not been anything going on with either one of my other two tanks, but I came to the same conclusion you did. Probably Gaia admin messing around yet again! smile

I'm using Firefox. The good news is it seems to only have been a temporary glitch. Everything is working fine now, except for my drop in gold that my tank earned yesterday because people weren't able to play during the morning hours. I thought perhaps Gaia was trying to fix the fish who aren't going to die on time, but the analyzer looks the same. Incidently, I don't understand why people use IE to play Booty Grab because it doesn't work very well. I have both and have tried playing BG on the IE browser. If it plays at all it's slow and full of lag. Anyone can download Firefox for free and it works a lot better.

I put him in Barret's freezer and replaced him with a dolphin, cuz he didn't fit in with my fish any more; I got him when I had a tank with Ninja fish and Knight fish.  You'll understand when I'm dead

I have a question...
I have a mule with only monsters.
I have three stone coatls. I'm trying to figure out what they like so that they are happy and live as long as possible.
The problem is, I have one that's happy (shows a heart) but the other two don't no matter what I do.
Anyone know what a stone coatl prefers? And why would one be happy and not the other two?

Trying to find info on stone coatls and so far - fail. AFAIK - If you have the right things to make a fish happy then ANY of that kind of fish will be happy with those settings. Different types of fish may not agree but I've never seen or heard of multiples of the same fish not agreeing on settings. It isn't hard to test settings for a fish. LIGHT - Set light and save. Does a heart appear over the fish? If no - try dark and save. MUSIC - Pick a song. Save. Heart? If no keep trying. Often a type of fish will like more than one song. TEMPERATURE - (You get the idea) - set to moderate - save - look for heart.

Over the weekend when I get a moment I'm going to put the other fish in Barrett's tank and try what you suggested again.

I had a hunch you knew those things but I have never heard of any fish 'liking' different stuff than every other one of its kind. It makes me think either it is a display problem and the fish is happy but not showing the heart or a rather interesting bug. I believe user Absol ruler of chaos used to have stone coatls and might know. David. you made a statement in another forum that I had a question about. You said something about all the dolphins dying sometime in October. Could you clarify that for me? Did you mean that dolphins will only have their normal lifespans or that ALL dolphins will die on a certain date, no matter if they are in a tank or in inventory?

In the Aquarium forum Gaia made this announcement: Booty Grab bug fixes to help reduce inflationPosted: Sun Jun 27, 2010 10:09 pm In part it says: Fish that don't die will now have their proper life expectancy dates set starting from this day forward. So a fish with a 4-month life expectancy will die in late October 2010. This fix includes fish that were previously given to Barrett, as well as tanks that haven't been visited.This seems to say that all dolphins that as of that posting were 'used' will die near the end of October. Presumably dolphins (or other fish) put in the tank after that will live for their advertised life span. Some folks have commented that because the date of death on fish didn't change in aquarium analyzer it means they won't die. That is not necessarily true. Each 'used' fish has a unique inventory / item number. If Gaia made note of the numbers they could kill off those fish any time they want. I hope they don't kill of ALL 'used' fish because I have backup dolphins in my freezer that have spent their whole life in the freezer. They would not be dying at the end of October even if there never was a freezer glitch. I hope Gaia does not kill them off. While checking the links for this post I saw this post by WideEyed stating As for the lifespans of your fish....I'm hearing that some fish have returned to their original lifespans, but it's apparent that this hasn't been fixed yet for all fish.
I'm guessing that the Devs got diverted from BG in order to focus their efforts on the tons of new content we got over the summer.i have not personally verified that. If true - that date of death has been fixed in some tanks and not others - that's interesting. It is difficult to know for sure what is going to happen because the Aquarium team has not responded to the many requests for clarification posted in response to their announcement. This appears to perpetuate the perception the aquarium team doesn't really give a crap about the tank owners. Anyway, that's the source of the information. You can decide for yourself what it means but taken at face value it sounds like all the freezer glitch affected fish will die at date June 27 + (stated life span of fish in question).

these tank "chain letter" like posts: post this to 5 tanks and get a gift box... are ridiculous. I know there isn't much you can do to avoid, prevent them...

I know there isn't much you can do to avoid, prevent them... just wanted to vent. scream Yeah, there is a large group of people on the internet who who forward / repeat all kinds of chain crap 'just in case'. I used to report those posts as spam. These days I just delete those comments when I check my tank. I figure the mods are probably just deleting them anyway. There is enough of that going on I wish Gaia would make an announcement telling the idiots once and for all it is NOT TRUE. And I know they are not all idiots. Some are probably just young and gullible and had some friend who swore it is true.

Your post is the first I know of it being down but I have not tried to access it for a few days until just now. It appears to be a web hosting issue.
