Charis kept quitely to the shadows of the buildings. Whenever he stepped out into the light the humans always had one of two reactions. Either they would panic and yelp about his large bulk and stay back, or they would all mob him and pet him because he was large and furry with wings. Why they were so fascinated with his wings was beyond the Phim. Still if he stood there long enough being petted someone would inevitably give him food. So it wasn't all bad. Seeing other foxes Charis approached slowly being wary of the looks the humans had. No screams and no mobs today. Maybe it's because of the other foxes he was approaching? Or perhaps it was just the time of day. Humans where so strange about running in and out of builds at specific times. So how goes things?

Shaezelle had to admit, it was difficult getting around the city without Vogue's help. Many areas were still completely new to her, and quite frankly she hadn't been paying too much attention in the areas she had been to with the other vixen. Shaezelle had been too busy staring at the buildings, cars and people to do anything past following her. Even now she was struggling to stay on task.

She knew where to meet, kind of. Down some street or other between some tall buildings. Basically Shaezelle was just wandering. Until she spotted a Modiphim and three other foxes that she didn't know. 'I must be in the right place, though,' she thought -- technically hoped. She approached slowly, not knowing any of them. "Hello, there," she said shyly.

Lin sauntered over to the meeting place for the tribe prospects and casually leaped up onto the bench next to Kiroko, looking the others over. When she had first come to the city Kiroko had taught her how to survive here, and so today she could just watch the others go about their lessons, perhaps answer questions if she was needed.

"Morning," she greeted Kiroko quietly, yawning offhandedly. She wasn't much for such early gatherings, but she supposed being in the city meant she should be ready for anything at any time. The green vixen rolled her shoulders, still stiff from sleep, and considered the growing group of her kind.

"You're on time," she told the gray vixen through yet another yawn, finishing it with a quick shake of her head. She needed to wake up fast or she'd been of no use at all and seem like a lazy fool in front of Kiroko. She smiled slightly to herself; that just wouldn't do.

Romulus came up on the group silently, his paws making hardly any noise at all on the warming pavement. Teaching newcomers wasn't exactly his idea of a good day--the reaosn he'd chosen to be a scout and never a leader--but Kiroko was his friend and a part of the now-gone Syndicate. For both those reasons, he would help him with whatever he needed, whenever he needed.

"Hello," he said shortly to the shy, busy-patterned vixen. Coming from him the short statement wasn't rude; he was just always to the point when not talking about things that interested him. And introductions and lessons didn't interest him.

Kiroko, always early, was already here, and so was Lin. Unsurprising; it wasn't hard to guess that Lin and Kiroko had something going on, and 'Deities forbid they should embarrass themselves in front of each other.

"Morning," he too greeted Kiroko, sitting in front of his friend on the ground to watch their new 'recruits'.

Ah. It seemed like everyone was going to be on time today. Kiroko beckoned the first vixen to show up closer to the bench. Her coat was a mix of three colors and she had bright eyes. The green male was willing to bet she could hold her own in the city once she got used to it. He was about to greet her when a familiar green vixen came to sit next to him. "Good morning." He replied with a smile at her tired expression. It was nice of Lin to come this early in the morning. He would make sure to thank her, as well as Romulus, later for attending.

The next to appear at the gathering was a grey and blue vixen. She was followed by a modiphim. Hearing Lin greet the vixen, Kiroko decided to greet the 'Phim. "Things are going well." He said with a light smile as another fox showed up. And last but never least, Romulus. That should be everyone.

"Good morning." he replied to Romulus. "And hello to all of you." Kir addressed the four newcomers that stood before them. "I see word of this gathering got around fairly well." Getting down to business, Kiroko stood on the bench and gave them a serious look. "I've requested your audience today so that my comrade Romulus and I may teach you a few techniques to help you survive and enjoy the city. I am also starting a tribe here and I would like to ask those of you who plan to stay here to join." Kiroko hoped off the bench so that he was standing eye to eye with the newcomers. Well, except for the 'Phim, who was a little taller than he was. For now.

"I would like to get the day started quickly so I ask we keep introductions short. There will be plenty of time for getting to know each other later." He smiled and sat down. "I am Kiroko. The vixen on the bench is Lin and the fox beside me is Romulus." With that being said, Kir waited for the four foxes before him to introduce themselves in turn.

Miramili watched the other foxes come up. Two of them seemed to know the male that was there considering he greeted them. She was sort of shocked that a 'Phim would try to survive in the city, but seeing how they reacted to him, he could probably get a lot of food.

She tilted her head in greetings towards the three. "Morning." She smiled, "I am Miramili, but you can call me Mira." The vixen shrugged her shoulders, didn't matter to her which name they called her, but preferred one of the two.

Charis nodded at the green male. When the male started speaking Charis listened intently. A tribe here sounds interesting. I wanted to become stronger so I wouldn’t be a burden and this sounds like the place to do it. How did one go addressing so many foxes at once? It was nerve wracking. My name is Charis, It’s a pleasure to meet you all. He bowed his head politely too embarrassed to say more. He had only ever truly spoken with his gray angel and Leopold before, well that and that small group of phims, but dealing with other phims held a level of comfort to it. He didn’t tower over other phims. He self consciously kept his head low so that he didn't seem quite so gawky... He decided quietly listen for the rest of the foxes’ names.

Shaezelle didn't have to wait long for things to start. At the arrival of Romulus, the meeting began. The green male, calling himself Kiroko, addressed everyone, and briefly introduced the premise of the gathering. Then, one by one, a vixen and the 'Phim introduced themselves in turn.

When it seemed no one else would continue, she decided it was her turn to greet everyone. "Hello, there," she said, nodding, at everyone's general direction. "My name is Shaezelle."

Runaiu held her tongue as everyone seemed to be gathering. She was not much for conversing, more of the calculating type. The nomad rubbed her paws across her cheek, tired from her long travel and the strange and new smells. Still, she found the city wonderful, though she had yet allowed a human to touch her. No, she was known for stealing from stands once in awhile, or killing birds. She was a traveler, she was used to such things.

She heard Shazelle, realizing it must be her turn to speak. Quickly she directed her attention their way, nodding. "I am Runaiu. A traveler, it is also a pleasure to meet you all." She felt her stomach tighten, eyes flicking away. They were all beautiful, hell, one had wings! Oh... what was she going to do?

Lin, still from her high point on the bench, looked over the strangers curiously. Most of them seemed awkward or shy, and that wasn't going to work well for them in the city. Kiroko and Romulus weren't so good at the emotional stuff...maybe this is where she should step in?

"Nice to meet you all," she piped up after the gray one--Runaiu? had finished introducing herself. "I know introductions are awkward and stuff, but don't worry. The boys both act all serious, but no one's gonna kill you if you screw up or something." If she was going to have to be the one to keep the mood light, then so be it. Done with her pep talk for now, Lin looked down at Kir and Rom. "Now c'mon, standin' around's getting boring."

Romulus rolled his eyes in mock exasperation, used to Lin's less serious take on life by now. "Lin's right. If anyone feels they can't continue to live in the city, or shows a lack of ability to, no one will judge you for leaving. The Phoenix Metropolis is not for everyone."

That was the only reassurance anyone was ever going to get from him. Either you made it or you didn't; there was no inbetween for a fox living in the city. The strangers would learn quickly.

"So, I say we get on with today. Kiroko, why don't you explain the lessons you've got planned and then we'll go to the first site?"

The green male listened intently as the newer foxes introduce themselves and gave their greetings. He made sure to commit each of their names to memory by repeating them to himself mentally. Kiroko half smiled at Lin's pep talk to the group. It was true that he wasn't the best fox when it came to emotional issues. That was something he would have to work on. But for the time being, he was glad to have Lin there to make up for what he lacked. He could see that both she and Romulus were ready to get on with things just as much as he was. It was going to be interesting on how today's events unfolded.

Kir gave a shot nod to Romulus and turned back to the others. "Today's lessons revolve around obtaining food. There are countless ways of getting food around here but I would like for all of you to eat well and more than just birds or rats." When there were so many tasty treats around, no one deserved to just live off of rodents or get their paws bloody. "My goal is to teach you how to obtain food without getting caught by humans. I hope your hungry, for the first site is a grocery store right around the corner." He smiled as he remembered the first time he stole from this particular store.

"If you do not feel like you would benefit from this lesson, you may leave now. If you would like to learn, follow me." With that being said, Kiroko turned and started heading off in the direction of the store.

Mira nodded to the others. Her tail flicked as she thought about being in a tribe. At the mention of food, her belly rumbled loudly. She watched the green fox as he left. Not wanting to be one of the last ones to follow, she stepped after him.

She wondered if the one of the others would walk next to her. Mira would like to make some friends and it didn't matter what they were or looked like. Her head lifted she looked around the store they were heading towards.

Runaiu couldn't understand why she wanted to be in the city, nor why she actually listened to the green foxes words. She didn't hesitate, stepping forward when the fox said to. She wanted a home, she guessed. It was better then nothing, and in the city she would have plenty to explore so her travel love would surely be contained somewhere so wide and loud as here.

"I'll follow as well." She muttered quietly, her mind wandering as she thought of a certain white vixen and a black and swirl patterned male. She wondered when she would see them, if they would be surprised if she joined a tribe.

Charis followed Kiroko without hesitation. He was actually somewhat looking forward to learning about how to survive in the city. He kept his wings tight to his body and his posture very lax so that he seemed smaller then he was. He tried his best not to be noticed by the humans on the street, but he still ended up receiving stares.

Shaezelle listend to Kiroko, so far liking the premise of this first lesson. She knew by simply wandering the streets of the city that human food was much more apealing than the common city rodent, and she wasn't too fond of hunting, anyways. She followed as the other foxes did, trotting behind the 'Phim who had introduced himself as Charis.

Vogue had left the group the day before, feeling a certain animosity from the blue dogfox, and not caring to stay for more of it. It was so much easier to pick up vixens without a group around to hinder her.

However, she had just spotted the pretty patterned vixen she had met a few days previous, and changed her mind--Vogue decided she liked a challenge.

"Hello there," Vogue greeted, nearly whispering in the other vixen's ear. "What are you doing here?"

She recognized the blue dogfox from earlier, but so long as he didn't antagonize her, she would leave him alone...and there was a green male as well. Supposedly the future Elder of this tribe. Him she would keep a curious eye on.
