Maybe some newer members will come along and be interested =]

I was watching "Prince of Egypt" yesterday on the computer and I noticed in the corner of Windows Media Player it says the scene, how long the scene is, the name of the movie, and some of the bigger actors. Well, since it's just Dreamworks animation, they were just voicing characters. I noticed "Val Kilmer" on that little list. I'm like, "Hey...wait a minute...I know who that is!" (I'm not always the best with actor names). I looked it up to see what voice he played and he plays Moses's voice. I thought that was pretty cool =)

The movie actually made me come to realization of how crazy Jim was.
My dad was like, "He one crazy dude..."
And I was like, "pssh, yeah."
But he was. XD

I love Ray how was like, "You've got to cool down, Jim"
And everyone at the part was like, "Shuddup Ray!"
:]

I saw this movie just one more time since I was super unsure about how I felt about it the first time. Sometimes that's the only way for me to decide how I truly feel about it. This is what I have to say about the movie:

It had some content that was unnecessary. A lot was exaggerated and innacurate.

I didn't necessarily appreciate how off Jim's portrayal was. They only seemed to capture the moments where he was totally wasted throughout just about the whole movie. Some of the movie was accurate while other parts weren't.The remaining members of The Doors didn't even like the result of the movie.

They also made Pam seem completely clean when she really wasn't. In fact, she was into drugs and all of that as well. That bothered me a bit.

Although, the portrayal of Jim and Pam's character isn't necessarily their fault, it's the ones who came up with the script and Oliver Stone that allowed it to happen. So Val and Meg shouldn't be blamed since they may have followed their script well.

Val Kilmer did match Jim's appearance very well so at least he had the appearance down.

I honestly think that they could've made the movie more accurate and captured Jim's personality. The real Jim Morrison was actually a whole lot different than the idiot Stone made him out to be. Jim also has an intelligent, funny, and passionate side as well. Jim's passion for poetry was somewhat shown, but not so much. Jim's intelligent side in this movie didn't even exist. I honestly didn't see his sense of humor being shown in this movie as it should've been portrayed. They just seemed to elimate those characteristics and make the movie as crazy as possible.

To those who haven't seen that movie, do not base your opinions off the portrayals in this movie because it is NOT accurate. The personalities aren't very accurate either. Buy a biography or something of that sort about Jim or The Doors in general, you'll probably get more truth out of it.

The Doors were much more than Oliver Stone made them out to be.

That's why I don't even try to watch the movie. Oliver Stone's only good movie should be the one about Hugo Chavez, and only because Hugo Chavez is one great person whom I deeply respect.

Yeah, a lot of fans didn't like Oliver Stone's movie as it seemed. They're coming out with a documentary this year called "When You're Strange" it's by Tom DiCillo and narrated by Johnny Depp heart

I made a board about it on here somewhere if you haven't seen the trailer for it. I put the most recent one on there, I believe.
