He had awakened a few hours later to find his new friend absent. Her absence had caused the ever so slight feeling of sadness, which was an occurence that had only happened once before. Likely the Lycan part of her had resulted in her going for a hunt. He shifted slowly to a seated position feeling the stiffness in his body from his deep slumber. It was quite early and a bit early to think of food. He decided he would head back to the cave to write in his journal that was his personal reflection.

The sun had not yet fully peaked and in the grey of the early hours he headed with lead in his legs towards the cave. At his arrival he perched himself into the seat at the far corner and unlocked the cabinet containing his most important possessions. Those possessions included a picture of him and his mentor, a mask given by his mentor and his persona journal. Grabbing the journal he spent the next 30 minutes detailing the events of the previous day. He had much to write and for once it was pleasant memories. Finished his work he headed back to the cabin to prepare a light breakfast of smoked salmon, with his own variation of goat cheese and bread.

(realized I didn't finish properly since you were returning)

Out of the window he saw Ash's face appear. She seemed quite pleased with herself and he knew whatever task she had taken up was successful. He quickly proceeded to set the plates with the late breakfast he had made. Anxious for her return he had tons of questions to ask.

(My fault-- my post probably read that Ash had walked off XD. I'll reply now)

Conveniently, Ash's clothes were right where she'd left them when she'd disrobed to phase. Moving out of Auri's line of sight-- she'd seen him looked out through the cottage window-- she phased back and clothed herself.

She was adjusting the knot of her sash as she walked through the door. A most inviting smell of smoked salmon, cheese, and bread. Her stomach gurgled and suddenly the rabbits seemed like hours ago. She found it amusing that her appetite had so altered. She'd heard werewolf pups were constantly hungry, but she hadn't really taken it to heart. As it was, no matter how much she ate, she never gained any weight. If anything, she was growing leaner. She thought perhaps it was the energy cost required of her body to continuously phase, but she didn't really concern herself with the mechanics. Her body was changing-- her sense of smell and hearing were more acute than the average human's and her temper was probably hotter and more volatile than before-- but she accepted all the strings attached to being a lycanthrope.

She stopped just beyond the door, grinning at the look on Auri's face. He had something on his mind. Probably questions. She didn't mind them, really. He'd been good enough to take her in and share his secrets with her. It seemed only fair she reciprocate in some fashion.

"Smells great," She said by way of greeting, flashing a disarming smile.

The doorknob shifted slightly before the door moved on its hinges. Ash had entered the room draped in her cloths. She seemed in good spirits and this would make him less hesitant some of the burning questions he had. The revelation she had presented of being a Lycan was an unexpected development. It created no change in his attitude towards her but his scientific mind of always wanting to know everything left him eager to find out about these mystical creatures.

"Thank you, although it didn't take too long to make." He said as he smiled.

They both proceeded to begin eating and he felt this was the best opportunity to ask the questions he had.

"Well, last night we spoke briefly on the subject of you being a Lycan and it has me quite curious to understand the creature in order to show how similar we really are. I understand you would phase into a werewolf but once in that state how does it impact your consciousness? Do the natural instincts of the creature infringe on your own thoughts? Does the physical transition cause discomfort?"

He was quite eager to gain some knowledge and it was clear by his excitement with questions. He realized this and took a breath allowing Ash to process some of what he asked before he continued to bombard her with questions.

"Sorry about all the questions, I'm just a bit excited to know you are a Lycan. I'm a firm believer in discovering differences and attempting to show how they are actually similarities. By doing so I feel I can allow everyone to see acceptance in all creatures no matter how different they may seem."

This again proposed his lifelong goal. He would need to find ways to demonstrated similarities in all and then potentially all battles will end. His hidden project which would commence shortly would potentially achieve this goal or so he hoped.

"Doesn't mean it's not good," Ash said around a mouthful of bread and cheese. She ducked her head in a bit of an apology at her lack of manners. It wasn't that she was ill-bred, but she was a very direct sort of person. If she was thinking something, she usually said it aloud with the same easy confidence that translated to all of her actions. All the same, she swallowed and gave Auri an apologetic grin before going on.

"'M still the same person, wolf or not," She told him, completely comfortable with sharing the information with him. "I mean, I guess maybe I'm a little more aggressive than before accepting the lycan blood, but the benefits far outweigh any costs. I've got keener senses, now. And the wolf form itself is powerful,"

She took a breath, trying to condense all the information to manageable amounts for breakfast-time conversation. "The first change was... hard.." Here, the barest shadow passed through her eyes, but it was gone in a moment. "But it doesn't hurt at all, now. 'S natural. Only, since I'm a pup, I've had trouble controlling my changes. Certain feelings are like to set me off,"

(I noticed in the werewolf woods rp you finished training part. I spoke with Evil and she said could jump in after training so I'm setting it up here.)

Hearing her speak it was clear she was satisfied with her difference. She had not only accepted it but embraced it which made him happy to hear. His major concern was dismissed with her response.

"Glad to hear it does not change you too much. I would hate to see you lose your personality."

Other than personally the more troubling was how she became this way. It was clear she could not have done it on her own which made him formulate his theory. Squad 10 typically spent much of its time in the woods named after the creature she was. It was clear with her being in that division they had a significant role in her becoming a Lycan.

"Well as you can imagine I have put one and two together. It is clear that no one is able to change into a lycan on their own therefore it did require assistance. I know of squad 10 rumors and it seems they would be the source of your transition. I must therefore ask whether or not the transformation was of choice or by force?"

He had a grave look on his face. Although squad 10 leader was quite a pleasant individual he didn't know much of the squad. It could be a forced initiation in the squad for all he knew.

Aislinn paused, a piece of bread spread generously with cheese half way to her mouth. She found Auri's gaze with her own, eyes flashing. It wasn't quite a warning, but Ash was slightly offended by the insinuation that the werewolves were a cruel press gang, inducting unsuspecting individuals by force. That was a distinctly mortal misconception, exacerbated by popular fiction.

And just as quickly as the anger rose, it fled. Ash remembered that very few knew the true nature of werewolves and that Auri's was a natural conclusion to draw given that he had no prior knowledge.

"It was purely my choice," Ash lilted, tone not unfriendly but not quite so playful as before. "Never mistake that. I wanted-- maybe needed-- the Pack,"

His words had definetely caused a reaction in Ash as she seemed slightly less friendly in her response. It was understandable as now he knew it was of her own choicew and his question could be perceived as negative towards her pack. He needed to clear the air quickly as his intention was solely out of concern for her.

"Please do not take my question the wrong way it was merely regarding my concern for you as can never know how one went to become a Lycan. If you know me at all now you have seen I seek to have acceptance and understanding in all so I have nothing against werewolves. In fact I would love to meet the pack to really understand them and get to know them. This of course may be hard to have happen but I must ask regardless as this increase my knowledge."

He put forth a smile in effort to ease the tension that had recently built up.

"No," Aislinn scrambled to turn the conversation pleasant again. She hadn't meant to react so negatively to Auri's question. It had taken her aback for a moment, but it shouldn't have been enough for her to get angry at him. She offered him a crooked, apologetic smile, understanding his own efforts to backtrack and explain himself. The explanation wasn't necessary. She knew she was the one at fault. "I'm sorry 'bout that. Shouldn't a' let that get to me. Took me by surprise. That's all,"

Hearing Auri's interest in the Pack, she saw his request as a way to make up for her less than cordial behavior. Evil probably wouldn't mind a visitor, especially if his intentions were purely scientific and stemmed from genuine curiosity. She knew that there were others who would want less savory things from the werewolves. Some might even view them as test subjects no better than animals. If not for Evil's rank and status, she got the feeling that the Lycans would not enjoy the particular distinction they did now.

"I'm sure Evil-taicho wouldn't mind you visiting. I'll lead y' there if that's what you're after,"

He was glad she was no longer anger. As she apologized he did feel a bit awkward putting her in that situation. It must not be easy discussing such personal elements of one's life.

"It is not a problem at all" He replied with a wide grin

She continued on regarding the topic of his request. He was glad that she had little hesitations with him being able to witness her clan. He felt a warmth inside knowing that she was a true friend with how she trusted him to such an extent.

"All I seek is to make new acquaintances and new friends of all kinds. The ability for all to live as one will lead to eventual peace. Lead the way I'll gladly follow."

(Would it be ok if we held off for a bit? I was going to leave the Woods and come back later. I can come back with you and you can talk to Evil too, then ^^)
