Kaede disappeared from sight for several minutes, and appeared before the student's eyes again, now holding a piece of paper. She pinned it on the billboard placed on the wall, and adressed the students. "You have been sorted into rooms. The list is here, on the billboard, feel free to check it to find your place, and then you can move into your rooms. If you have any questions or suggestions concerning the room you've been placed in, or if you have difficulties moving in, you may contact me." With that done, she moved several steps away to let the students enough room next to the billboard, and waited for their response, and possible complaints, suggestions or questions.

Before James could continue the small talk, their house head and deputy headmistress returned with her announcement about the dorm room assignments. Part of him was dreading being placed with the drunk guy, as James was likely to think of that student for quite some time unless given considerable reason to think otherwise in the near future. Another part wondered with whom he would be rooming, and it was enough of a wonder to say to Aloe, "Before we get further into this conversation, why don't we check out who our roommates will be. I mean it is something that will have a pretty large effect on our time here at the academy."
With a mix of excitement and dread, he started to walk towards the billboard with the announcement. Who knows, maybe I'll even end up rooming with Aloe, and it will be the start of a beautiful relationship. About half way to the board, he shook his head at the very thought and kind of held back a laugh. Yeah, like that would ever happen. That is the kind of thing that only happens in those romance manga my sister reads so much.
Of course, when he got to the board and saw that he was roomed with Aloe in the first room, he merely stood there with a stunned look on his face. Blinking slowly, he looked from the paper, to Aloe, and back to the paper a couple of times, as though the names would change if he didn't verify the writting. "Well that's interesting," he said more to himself than to Aloe since he wasn't sure if she was close enough to hear him at that moment.

"All that..." Ryan looked at the floor. "That's a lot, isn't it. Probably really expensive. I guess this is like the army, then?" He looked up, straight into Tsubame's eyes "Only we don't have equipment, just a uniform." Looking at himself, then back at Tsubame, he remembered standard dress for the armed forces. "That makes little sense...our armed forces, even in ceremonial dress, had clothes that were meant to be fairly tight with as few layers as possible. They also wanted it light, to increase the amount of supplies and equipment a soldier could carry, as well as to allow them to run faster on the battlefield."
Ryan looked back at the floor. "Must be the battle style...something about this place tells me I'm not going to be using a gun."

Aloe nodded to James "Okay." and let him walk off ahead of her. For a moment she hung back and looked to the new person to check the bookshelves, Zakuro. Wearing the same smile she did with James to Zakuro, she said. "Hi there. You want to come talk with us too? We won't mind." She could slightly tell that the man was bored and probably wanted to socialise. She only made the assumption based on the fact he was wandering around the room on his own though, but figured if she was wrong the man would just not follow her.
With a friendly wave, Aloe jogged away from the bookshelves to join James at the billboard, arriving just in time to hear him say 'Well thats interesting".
Aloe stepped up beside James saying "Whats interesting?" and with a quick glance, found her name on the billboard next to James'. "Oh hey. We're room-mates. Thats rather lucky, since your the first person who's name I learned."
Aloe took a quick look back at the rest of the dorm. Hopefully she would be able to meet and befriend the rest of the dorm eventually. Much as she had grown to like James during this first meeting, she wanted to try avoiding hanging out with just select people in the academy during her time here. 'But this is the first day,' she thought, 'so theres still plenty of time to say hi.'
Aloe turned her attention back to James and the billboard. "I wonder who this person thats been put on their own is." She says while looking at the last room on the list.

Bummer, she didn't sound overly excited. And so dies my nearly dramatic finish to the day, he chuckled to himself and answered without missing a beat, "Its probably the guy who was drunk earlier. Making a guess from what I've seen so far of the deputy headmistress, she doesn't want his poor behavior affecting other students within house Dango."
James turned to look at Aloe and welcomed his new roommate, "Hopefully this is the beginning of a good relationship between us. If you ever need any help with school or training, don't hesitate to ask me!" Idly, he wondered what she thought of him, but knew that it was a little too soon for her to make any real decisions about him. I'm not emo or a supermodel, so an attraction wouldn't be instant, he thought with a big smile, one of those rare ones that he showed his near-perfect teeth.
He also decided to write a letter home today, whenever he got back to the room. It was going to be a while before he saw his family in Rukongai, and knew that they would all look forward to hearing from him. Even if he had only been gone for about a day so far. At least he'd have something worth writing about from the very beginning. His little sister would cherish each of his letters, and most likely write back to him every time.
((OK has anyone else seen Clannad? Everytime I see Dango, I get that Big Dango Family song stuck in my head again... please tell me I'm not the only one... emo ))

Yomiko walked inside of the common room just as Kaede gave her announcement of the dorm rooms. Her eyes scanned over at the other students, whom were looking at the dorm list. She was a little weary about it, though. What if she got roomed with someone whom she didn't like or someone who would cause her problems. The little girl just sighed a bit, knowing that she was allowing her nervousness and her imagination run wild, which was recurring. Instead of standing in then middle of the common room's entrance, like a dummy, she slowly moved over near the book cases. Her eyes scanned the shelves in amazement, unable to believe the amount of books on the shelves. This collection did not rival her family's, but in it's odd way it was impressive. She placed a hand on her hip as she continued to stare down the book collection, now oblivious to her surroundings. Gripping her cane for support, she was all in her own little world.

Huge noise killed the silence in the room as the doors slammed open.A dark figure could be seen entering the room.Hunbaba emerged from his detention full of sweat, he made a couple of steps and colapsed to the ground.He has breathing deeply and little droplets of blood fell from his mouth on the floor.
He then looked up at the rest of the students as he got back up on his feet,"What the hell happened while I was gone!",Hunbaba spoke with a sober voice on his face could no longer be read the expresion of a drunk but rather that of shock and fear.

Hearing that the rooms for each student was sorted, Yukiko stood up and looked over to the billboard. Slowly she looked around and saw some people go towards the board. She followed suit and looked at the board, noticing she was in the third room with another girl named Sayuri. "Small... Lily," she murmured the probable meaning of the girls name. A light giggle escaped her lips at her own joke, 'Two plants stuck in a room,' she thought, a joke on her last name "The forest," and the unknown girl's first. "A forest and a lily..." she smiled, as she took a few steps back for others to pass by and have an easier way to the billboard.

Kuro sat silently, watching everyone around him interacting with each other with looks of excitement upon their faces. He decided that he would sit quietly where he was and relax. He knew that he would have plenty of time to get to know everyone but for now he was going to enjoy his solitude. It wasn't long before Kaede returned with an announcement. So, it seems we have finally been paired up for our dorms. I wonder who my roommate will be. Kuro actually didn't mind who he would be living with as long as that person wasn't incredibly annoying. As Kaede pinned the list to the billboard, Kuro's excitement grew. He decided to patiently wait for the rest to have a look at the list, mostly because he wasn't in the mood to push his way through the crowd to get to the billboard. Once the group in front of the billboard began to thin out he pushed himself off of his cushion and onto his feet. He lazily slid his hands into his pockets and slowly approached the sheet of paper that would reveal his new roommate.
Kuro placed his finger on the list and dragged it down until it fell upon his name. His eyes slowly flowed from his name to the one paired with it. "Yomiko Shihouin...." He whispered the name to himself. Strange...it seems I am placed in a dorm with a member of the noble Shihouin clan. With a sigh Kuro left the billboard and returned to the center of the large room and began to look around. Yomiko must be a girl so that narrows it down a bit. I haven't heard anyone nearby mention her name so she must not have arrived yet. Therefore it must not be anyone with this room at the moment. Plus, the Shihouin usually have a darker complexion so identifying a member of the clan shouldn't be too difficult. After realizing that his roommate was still absent from the room he began to briskly walk back to the cushion he had been previously occupying. Just as he was about to sit down he noticed a young woman walking through the threshold of the common room with a cane in hand.
He watched as she made her way across the room and rested near the bookcases that lined a nearby wall. Kuro slowly walked toward her location, all the while straightening his long black haori that mostly hid the rest of his clothes. Below his haori he wore a black buttoned shirt with a red color and slim black pants. The young shinigami moved to Yomiko's right, facing the many books that lined the walls. His eyes scanned over the names of the books as he cleared his throat to speak. "Hey..." He turned to face her with a handsome, rather kind, smile. His crimson eyes met hers. "My name is Kuro. What is yours?"

Aloe giggled softly as James offered for her to ask should she ever need help. "Alright, I'll be sure to ask. As long as your sure to ask me if you need help. Don't try act noble by offering help but not asking for it." Aloe had let out a not so subtle clue of what she thought about James with that sentence. Though it wasn't a negative opinion. Noble was still noble to her, but if there was one thing that irked Aloe, it was people that might not ask for help if they need it.
"And I think we're going to be good freinds as room-mates if this keeps up." Aloe added with a smile before she turned away from the billboard towards the seating area. She beckoned James with her left hand to follow her, "Come on, lets get out of everyones way." She walked over to a group of seats, sitting herself neatly on one of them with her books on her lap and waiting for James to join her.
As she waited, Aloe spied that the drunk student had come back. 'Hmm. If he is the one on his own, that would make his name Hunbaba?' She thought, her happy expression still lasting even during fairly neutral thinking 'Certainly looks like his detention did a number on him. I hope he learned from it.'

Before entering the Common Room, Ren cheerfully knocked on the front door in a melodic rhythm. As she stepped in the room, a hue of silverish-blue blinded her for a moment. Grinning brightly, she looked at the students. Most of them were crowding in front of the billboard.
Ah, Ki-chan must've put up the list with rooms.
Slowly walking toward Kaede, she turned to face the room and addressed all of the students:
"So... How are my precious seeds doing up until now?"

"Horrible!!!", a screaming voice from the crowd.Hunbaba steped forward to speak to the headmistress himself,"Your maid almost killed me!!!That doesn't sound to educational to me.".Hunbaba was still upset for the way he had been treated by Solstice during his detention.

Kaede looked at Hunbaba crying out how horrible he felt and hardly managed to supress a malicious smile. He sure will remember the last time he was drunk. "Well, Hanuba-kun, I hope you've learned your lesson. And adressing our honourable miss Solstice with maid won't get you far - only to your next detention maybe." Although she was a bit annoyed to have a problematic student in her house, she knew well that any problems can be quickly solved with the aid of miss Solstice. Then, she noticed the headmaster that came in, and left out a slight sigh so silent it was almost inaudible. Even though she considered the headmaster to be her best friend, she did tend to be slightly annoying at times - and seemed to enjoy being such as well.

"Well Kaede-senpai isn't her job to clean around.Oh and by the way you should show us to our bedrooms, I'm kinda tired after the whole day and I'd like to set up smile ."Hunbaba smiled at Kaede he thought she hated him for bringing misfortune to the Dango house, so he became very determined to achieve redemption.
