The Dango common room is mostly colored in various shades of blue. The walls of the spacious, normally brightly sunlit room are white with an eerie silvery glow emitting from them, providing a fascinating atmosphere at night. Its ceiling is high, and the windows reach nearly from the floor to the ceiling, and they are rarely veiled by the heavy royal blue curtains hanging next to them. Covering the entire wall on the right are ceiling-tall bookshelves - a private library of the Dango house, providing most additional literature that students might need as well as various interesting journals and books, including crossword and puzzle magazines.
The floor is covered in dark cherrywood tiles, which are surprisingly nicely complemented by the dark blue seats and cushions, ornamented with light blue and white details. The furniture is mostly designed in the japanese style, with only few influences from the west. Near to the windows, a few bonsai are placed to the mercy of the students - it is their right and their duty to care for them. They are the symbol of the students' growing knowledge, and it is said that if they wither, the students' brilliancy will fade as well.

Kaede entered the common room, leading her students behind her. With a wave of her hand, she showed them in, and let them explore their new "home". She still had a lot of things to do, and she retreated slowly, and leaning against a wall, she watched them curiosly, wondering which ones should she pair together to be roommates this year.

Solstice already prepared to take a student to detention having been informed through earlier use of the runner system, the one in which the runner didn't have to run but rather just hand a letter through a portal so it'd end up in her pockets.

Solstice came down from the celing hanging upsidedown and the portal floated down with her as she came to rest next to Kaede, hatless for a change, she hadn't had time to put it on. Hey there Kaede you wanted me to take a student didn't you. Which one is it? she said apparently not noticing there weren't many students here yet.

James was essentially at the front of the pack behind the deputy headmistress when they entered the common room. Following her hand gesture, he began to look around, and examine the place thoroughly.

It was considerably roomy: high ceiling, spacious, and with the full sized windows very open. The blue colors gave the feeling of calmness, and in a different way, of importance. James walked towards the bookshelves along the wall, seeing books that covered topics from kidou to hollows. There were even puzzle magazines much to James's surprise. From time to time he felt such magazines were a good exercise to stop a bored mind from going to waste.

By the windows, he saw small potted trees. James wasn't very familiar with the concept but the name he did know from somewhere: bonsai trees. "I wonder if these are for us to take care of," he said idly, forgetting to whisper since he was lost his thoughts.

~~Trace Tazuka~~

Trace had walked into the Dango common grounds. He saw the colors was set a little at ease. He liked the color blue, to him it represented calmness and coolness. Trace then saw other students and thought to himself,''It seems these guys will be my roommates from here on. Its best not to get on their bad side''. He then walked towards a wall and stood there, admiring the atmosphere.

Kaede noticed Solstice and greeted her with a slight inclination of her head. Her eyes scanned rapidly over the dango common room in search of the student assigned for attention tonight. Unable to locate him, she replied: "He's not here yet, but I think he'll be coming in soon. After all, I lead all of them here. You do know what his offence was, right? His outbursts were rather hard to overlook." Kaede herself actually enjoyed having to punish students, but didn't exactly have the creative mind for that kind of business - that's why she mostly let the caretaker take care of that. Her imagination and inventiveness in the art of punishing was also the main reason why she respected the overly tall woman, apart from the obvious reason which was her fascinating height.

"Ah Okay then" Solstice said smiling. Solstice's opinion on Kaede was quite respectful too quite alike to Kaede's. Solstice respected Kaede mainly for being a teacher and thus her superior, or something to that effect though in truth such boundaries of rank meant little to her however she had clearly worked for this position and was apparently deserving of it. Surely that was worth some respect? Other than that Solstice knew little else other than that she had access to some whopping powerful Kido. She watched Kido class often so she had talked to Kaede prior to this. Hopefully she would get to see Kaede demonstrate a powerful Kido this year. Maybe a forbidden one if she could find the right situation. I heard him shout out said Solstice. So did you examine him for any traces of alchohol?

Zakuro walked into the Dango common grounds with a dissatisfied look on his face. "Eh, not exactly my style but it'll have to do." He continued on; his eyes analyzing almost every detail in the room. It then hit him that there other beings in the room with him. I wonder what they'll be like. Will they purposefully start fights and riots just for the fun of it. Several other thoughts ran through his head; though he knew that troublemakers, if apprehended, would be severely punished by the Headmistress. He approached a blue cushion and, much to his distaste, sat down and awaited something to do.

Aloe had caught up quick enough not to make herself the last into the common room. As she stepped into the room, she breifly slowed to a stop as she admired the colours it was decorated with. Such cool blues, it seemed like a perfect place you could get lost in your own thoughts, and perfect place for reading, like Aloe did often.

Speaking of which, the second part of the room to grab Aloe's attention was the bookshelf. It looked like there were more than enough books to keep her busy for the whole time she was at the academy, if she ignored the other stuff she was supposed to be doing though. She wasn't the kind of person to choose books over everything else though, much as she liked them.
For now, she decided to indulge curiousity and walked over to the bookshelf, running a finger along the books as she read their titles. So many different topics, there was no way she could read all that she wanted to read.

She went to reach for a book that caught her eye. It seemed to be about kidou. But before she got a hold of it, she heard another student who was standing at the bookshelf too ask a question, though it didn't seem to be directed at her, or anyone else. The question, though she couldn't answer it, reminded Aloe that she shouldn't let herself get engrossed in books right now. There would be no point in sucluding herself from everyone else until they approached her, so she stepped over to the man that had spoken what she thought were his thoughts.

Tapping James on his shoulder to get his attention, Aloe smiled in a friendly fashion with her books held to her chest under her right arm.
"Hello there." Aloe greeted James with a soft, yet energetic voice that portrayed her gladness to be where she was. "Nice to see a fellow book lover." She could only assume that James really did like books, but it seemed like a good enough guess given where they both were standing.

Kaede actually chuckled lightly before restraining herself. She never laughed, for she believed it was inappropriate - otherwise, she'd be laughing loudly now, with her melodic chiming laughter that hardly anyone ever heard ringing over the room. Thus, she composed her serious and slightly apathic stance quickly, and only a careful observer would notice her amusement. "Of course I didn't examine him, he reeked like an old drunkard," she then replied coldly, her annoyance clearly referring to the student and not the interlocutor. "I don't even want to know how much he drank today. But I believe an appointement with you will change his opinion on liquor," she added more brightly, almost smiling (but not actually smiling, because that was also what she rarely did due to the fact that she felt it was inappropriate for someone in her post) at the thought of what awaited the student.

James had essentially been in his own world since coming to this academy. Other than the speeches made by the headmistress and the deputy, no one had made any effort to communicate with him. Of course they hadn't been on the school grounds for too long but still with this number of people, he kind of expected to make small conversation at least once by now. A tap on his right shoulder, and a soft voice were the first to attempt a connection with him.

Trying to be friendly, he turned and started talking with her in his usual deep and calm voice. "Well, its not so much that I'm a book lover, but that I love what is in the books. I enjoy learning in almost any form, and reading is one of those forms." Most people would find the combination of James's voice and easy going nature to be very relaxing, and with the fact that James takes particular care of his natural good looks some ladies would even find him fairly attractive. James put out his right hand to shake, not realizing that she was holding a pair of books, as he started to get a good look at her. All the while, he fininished his self-introduction, "My name is James, James Zachary Garath. Pleased to meet you."

Light blue eyes... white hair... loves books... so far so good, he thought sizing her up in the back of his mind with that same small smile he had, though this time there was a kind warmth to the smile and his overall persona.

Aloe smiled a little brighter as she listened to James correct her. Her guess wasn't right on the mark, but she was glad it was near enough not to cause an akward start to the conversation. As he talked, Aloe couldn't help but take note of James' height. She hadn't noticed at first, but Aloe found herself being quite a bit shorter than she expected compared to James. It didn't bother her much, just catching her by surprise for a second.

When James extended his hand to shake her's, Aloe passed her books into her left arm and used her right hand to shake James'. She gripped his hand fairly tightly as she shook it, rather than being feeble about it like her appearance may lead people to expect.
"Pleased to meet you too, James Zachary Garath. My name is Aloe Tsuwamono, but I don't mind if you just call me Aloe."

'Interesting name he has. Sounds posh.' Aloe thought to herself with a silent giggle.

Since James had told her a bit about himself, she continued on to explain a little about herself too. "I'm sort of the same way when it comes to learning. Much as I love to read from books in my spare time, I also like being able to actually practice or see what I've been learning about."

"Feldric-san, do you still want me to repair your shirt?" Questioning Ryan as she stepped into the Common Room, Tsubame continued far enough inside to allow him access before taking in the first portion of the dormitory. The interior was reminiscent of one of her recent customers sense in decor, and she smiled softly at the overwhelming blue theme. Considering the the cherry wood, Tsubame's mind formulated a color scheme that would have worked far better base off the red hue the wood held. "Rather tastefully decorated, and spacious wouldn't you say..."

Making her way further inside, Tsubame dropped onto the nearest navy cushion and glanced at the students already assembled inside. She could only hope that each would be reasonably kind. Returning her mottled eyes to Ryan, she waved him over with a sweet little smile, remembering the needle still held loosely in her right hand. Tsubame had said she would fix that damage to his shirt, and she would, even if she was discomforted while mending the fabric.

Ryan looked around the room as he walked in, thinking about what it could remind him of. "...this is like the Palace of Versailles or something. I'll bet that building a room like this could bankrupt a small country," he remarked, before dropping onto a cushion next to Tsubame and pulling his shirt off, handing it to her. "Here you are, Tsubame...and thank you."

Looking around, Ryan immediately knew what the room was missing. "Ugh, this is going to take some getting used to...not sitting on chairs, that is. I'm used to sitting even just on a stool to work, but for dinner and stuff...we had a table with chairs, it's not like those were only restricted to the rich. Kneeling was something you did in church...if you even went to church."
