I like stuff that helps me escape or stimulates my thinking.
Science fiction and fantasy are tops for me.
I also like offbeat novels that show alternative lifestyles e.g. hippies and artists. I mean there's more than one way to live your life, instead of just work and school etc.

Drama. I'm BIG into drama. I try to put extremely dramatic scenes in my stories. I'll also like to write other types of stories, but everything has to have lots of dramatic elements.

Oh I am all for the magic. And the adventure. Science fiction and fantasy are my shtick. Sometimes I'll do non-magical stories, but that's not often.
