He thought of all the ways he could answer that question, and finally settled on the one he deemed to be least offensive, while still being quite clear about his point.
"I was trying to find a place far away from all others, where no modifoxes go, so that I could have solitude."
He knew of Kosetsu from his mother, and knew that this place was not what he wanted. While they were calm, certainly calmer than his family, it was also one of the largest tribes, and so he was unlikely to find his peace here.

"It was their choice to leave," Loki shrugged. "I would rather no one be forced to stay here." He let her be quiet, and didn't comment on her remark about others being nearby. His senses were stronger than any normal modifox's, and he'd already identified those coming closer.
"It is no bear," he said, amused still at her pessimistic nature. She insisted on being negative, didn't she?
"I saw your parents last, I think," Miki mused. "No, no, I saw Remus and Umiko last. But I did see your parents, and they were okay. They know how to handle winters here." She smiled reassuringly, knowing he had to be worried about his family. "I think your whole family should be fine."
Rae went to the lake without saying anything, then grinend in relief when she saw her adopted father and Aditu, with some stranger. "We're really going to be okay, Kyou," she said with a sigh of relief. "Loki will help us find the children, we'll be okay." Her mother instincts told her all of her kits would be just fine.

 Akito waded through the snow head held high and a BCR hanging from gently clenched teeth, his breath giving the small orb caressing puffs of heat. He didn't know a lot about having children or BCRs but he was pretty sure they didn't belong around his wrist buried and frozen in the snow. The black, neon ringed fox was wandering, as was his wont now that he was grown and away from his crazy mother and the rest of his family.
He wondered where he was having never been this far north before. The landscape was rather beautiful covered with all the snow, and he felt peaceful for the first time he could remember.

 Impa tore through the snow with ease, having grown up in this tundra landscape. The blizzard was over, and she wanted to get back to her family. She flung snow left and right as she ran, her sides heaving with exertion.
As she ran, however, Impa noticed an unfamiliar smell. She skidded to a stop and looked around, ears pricked. Was there a stranger around...? Ever curious, the blue and black vixen followed the trail until she happened upon a fox with a BCR in his mouth. She couldn't leave him out here by himself, not while a kit was at stake.
Mind made up, Impa trotted to the male's side. "Hello," she greeted with an easy smile. "My name's Impa, and I'm from the tribe here. Are you new to the area?"

Terra smiled a little at his response. "In that case, I believe you're in the wrong place," she replied. "Although we may not be a very large tribe now, after all of the storms and such."
"Why would you ever want to be so alone?" Terra asked. She loved being with her friends and family. Admittedly, it did get a little strange when she didn't know half of the people in the tribe, but Terra couldn't imagine never seeing anyone.
Shin returned the smile, mentally thanking Miki for being so reassuring. He felt a lot better knowing that they were fine when she had last seen them. He wondered when they would finally reach the lake. Miki would have probably gotten there by now if he hadn't been limping along beside her. "I'm sorry you can't get to the lake any faster because of me," he apoogized. "I know we're not too far, but you would have been there by now."
Kyou felt a wave of relief wash over him as they neared Loki and the others. They were safe, and soon his children will be as well. They finally reached the group and Kyou greeted them all. "I'm glad to see you're all safe," he said. "Have you seen anyone else?"

Caolan mentally stored the information that Kousetsu may have shrunk, and might no longer be one of the two largest tribes.
Even if some members had left, though, he very much doubted that the tribe was by any stretch 'small'.
He remembered then that he was speaking to a vixen, and that he ought to not pause so long between replies--Mother would have disciplined him severely by now, if she could see how atrocious his manners had become.
"For peace and quiet." Even the quiet members of his family, such as his mother, wore thin on his nerves. He simply could not handle her expected level of perfection.

Akito caught sight of the blue, black-stripped vixen nearing him and and bristled slightly in instinctive protection of his kit. Upon taking in the other's friendly manner...and the fact he was beyond lost, Akito calmed and nodded a greeting. Sitting aburptly in the snow, he pulled his tail around and gently placed the BCR in the warm fur.
He refocused on the female and gave a friendly smile. "Hello. I'm Akito and yes, I'm new around here. Please, could you take us to your tribe, the last thing I want is for my kit to freeze." He looked down at the BCR fondly before blinking in surprise as it started to move around almost violently. Ripari faught against the constraining darkness, kicking until whatever was holding him broke open. Struggling out further into the light he saw through the hole, he found himself on something fluffy and warm, though he seemed surrounded by cold.
Looking up, he saw a big black thing and a big blue thing. Tilting his head in regardment of the two, he suddenly smiled brilliantly up at the both of them.

((Sure, Sei! Echo has a new mate now, but we can find Sachio a new one, if you'd like. Toss them in however you'd like. :3))
Impa opened her mouth to respond, when all of a sudden the BCR wiggled and squirmed until a male kit popped out. "Well hello there," she said, smiling kindly. "Welcome to the world, little guy."
Knowing that it was awfully cold for a newborn kit out here, Impa looked back up at the one who called hiself Akito. "Yes, I'll take you to the rest of my tribe," she agreed with a nod. "It won't be much warmer by the lake, but the tribe will provide shelter and food to the two of you."
"Don't be silly," Miki chided gently. "Could I be there now? Yes. But if it meant leaving you out here to limp by yourself, I'd rather be here with you. Friends don't leave friends behind." The brightly colored vixen craned her head and nipped his ear affectionately, thern readjusted their weight to better help him walk. "We aren't that far away anyways. We'll be back before the sun sets."

Lysi sauntered toward the boundaries of her tribe, her sharp eyes watching for movement. She saw none, much to her preference. She wasn't much in the mood for socializing, especially with Sachio moping behind her.
Sachio sighed once again as he followed behind his friend. Every once in a while he'd twitch his black and red coat; a nervous tick he'd had since he was a child. He just didn't know how he was to face his old tribe. He'd left without so much as a word so long ago, and he wasn't sure if they, she... would forgive him.

"I think so." Cari said weakly as she tried standing. After a few tries she finally got herself balanced and could stand again on her own. She wasn't sure how far she could walk however.
"It's nice to meet you Athena. Though I wish I was in better condition upon doing so. I'm Cari. Do you know which way the others are? Would you by any chance happen to know Sheik?" It was growing hard for Cari to speak and her energy was vanishing quickly. Mardi padded through the snow cheerfully, following the scent of two foxes she caught upwind from her. It wasn't long before the two came into view. One was shades of blue, the other shades of pink. The pink vixen didn't look like she was in the best of shape. Mardi dashed over, wondering if the vixens were in need of help.
"Hey!" She greeted Athena and Cari. "You two alright? Need any help?" She smiled at them both, concern in her bright eyes.

Ripari stood and shook himself a little before turning to say hello to the big blue thing, "Aah." Hmm, that didn't seem right.... Ripari tilted his head in confusion and overbalanced, taking a short tumble into the snow.
Akito quickly snagged his kit out of the snow. He held the kit by the scruff of his neck and spoke in between his teeth, "Thank you, Impa, that would be very much appreciated." He carefully put his kit on his haunches. Akito could already tell this kit was going to turn out like Aegle and his mother. "Ripari, stay up there. The snow isn't good for you." He said sternly.
Ripari grinned and wiggled his way up until he was perched on his father's head. He nipped the closest ear and wagged his tail vigorously.

Lysi continued to pad toward where she last remembered her tribe's camp. She was almost completely lost in her thoughts, so her surroundings were mostly lost on her.
Sachio continued to follow in Lysi's wake, trusting her to find their tribe.

Skype bit back a retort, though she still wondered why she even believed this big teal Elder who said she wouldn't be able to leave because of snow. She'd been in snow all her life, hadn't she? Skype looked back at the mountains, then sighed.
But she was distracted from her mullings when two foxes came over to the Elder, herself and the pink and black vixen. She sat up, internally grumbling at the fact that, if it came down to a fight, it would be four on one. Actually, the Elder probably counted as two or three, so it'd be six on one. Fantastic.
Sighing again, Skype sat up and wrapped her tail around herself and made no move to engage in conversation with the two; she was content to just observe for now.

Anyways, I know things are slow with everyone just RPing coming back to the tribe center, soooo:
INSERT HANDY DANDY TIME SKIP!
Everyone's safely made it back to the lake (or have they? PM me if you want to have lost fox drama). Now it's time to find friends and fmaily, and maybe make some new connections....;D
Two notes:
-Kat, if you want, Ripari can still be a kit :3
-We have BCRs again! Miki and Skype are both mothers, and I know we have some other proud parents around, so drop an OOC note if that's you~))
Loki looked over the foxes that had returned to the tribe. There were many left, but many who had also gone. Loki sighed when he noticed his fellow Elder was again nowhere in sight. Perhaps his only saving grace right now was the Chione, his tribe's Higher Being, had blessed them with new members.
He would have to address the tribe while they were all in one place.
Having never given a true speech in front of his tribe, Loki was secretly nervous at the idea. He was a stronger Elder than he had been in the past, but there were still things he didn't have experience with.
The others were milling about and not paying attention to him so Loki moved off to the side to think about what he needed to say.
Miki carefully kept her BCR nestled safely between her paws. She kept her nose near her future daughter, breathing warm air on the BCR to combat the permanently cold air of her home.
The brightly patterned vixen couldn't keep the smile off of her face. The tribe had come back together, and she was mother now. Sure, she didn't remember how...and the other vixen had been rather atrocious in the cheerful female's mind, but she didn't mind if that was what came out of it.
Miki looked up at Shin, who was resting next to her while he waited for his father to look at his leg. "I told you we'd make it back," she teased gently.
