Yth's predatory. yellow gaze locked onto Merlin the second he began to float towards her. Her grin steadily widened to its full size again. "GHOST TYYYYYPE!" She ran towards him and, uh, right THROUGH him, skidded to a halt, swung around (causing her lab coat and fox tail to swoosh dramatically), and was about to do the same thing again but in the other direction.
Was she impervious to the heat or something?! (Answer: actually, she did something special to her clothes... xD)

Ok… now Alastair was fairly certain he recognized Lamen. She had been there on the last little adventure and, as he recalled, she was fairly nice too. Putting on a grin, he started to walk towards her, except she ran away. Oh. Well… that caused his grin to fade by a few molars, since he didn’t think he was very frightening or anything. Well. That was fine. He would live. The person who had apparently replaced Lamen looked a little funny, but no one could help the way they were made, right? Even if they were apparently made with... uhh... a tail.

OK, something was weird here. But that was only normal for a summer, right?

Thankfully, someone else came by to talk to him, another girl who seemed vaguely familiar in a way he couldn’t quite put his finger on. There had been a lot of trainers on the last trip and it looked like there were a lot on this one too. “Oh! Sure, you can pet her. Just don’t give her any sugar, ok? Her sugar-highs are impossible to manage. Her name’s Lucine,” he said helpfully, putting his grin right back on. “Were you on caravan last summer? You know, with the wagons and the mines and all that? You seem sort of familiar…”

Lucine did her part and continued to look absolutely adorable. Maybe this person had treats? With a happy ‘mew’, she affectionately rubbed against Lisa’s legs in what she thought was an eevee-like fashion.

Merlin laughed as Yth passed through him. What a strange little creature! Merlin thought, not sure that Yth was entirely human. He wavered and wobbled and floated so that he was between Yth and his own trainer, prepared to float away the moment the inevitable crash happened.

"Oh!" Lisa exclaimed as the little Eevee rubbed up against her. "So your name is Lucine? That's such a pretty name!" Lisa smiled as she bent down stroked Lucine. "Yes, I was, actually," she said in response to Alastair's question, "I got my first Pokemon there, actually. Oh, but I've forgotten to introduce myself! I'm Lisa!" Lisa stood up and held out a hand to shake. "Pleasure to make your acquaintance." With her other hand, Lisa slipped out a brand name poke-treat from its bag in her pocket. Hopefully a certain ghost type wouldn't notice.

Seeing many trainers mingling with one another, Musica felt they must have met previously. Though he knew no one in this gang of humans, it didn't bother him. The energy of the group seemed to be at dramatic opposites. There were those who seemed to me miserable and complaing of the proud heat. And those who were running around as if there wasn't a care in the world of this self-indulged weather.
Keeping his constant calm grin, Musica enjoyed taking note of the individual's and their companions along side.

Mike swallowed again and nodded at her. "Pleased tah meet ya, Kayla and Snookie." He smiled at the rare-colored minun before returning his attention to his trainer. "Minuns aren't very common around the city, where did you find him? Plus...a shiny? You must of had Lady Luck huggin' ya that day."

Pokemon talk! This was a good way to break the ice.

From her perch on Royale's back, Abiba happily waved to the electric pokemon by the trainers. "Chu! RAICHU!" She loved being around her kin. Plus, it was interesting to her to see how every single one of them was different.

Lucine decided she rather liked this girl. She had treats! While the eevee-mew wanted to go meet other pokémon, she prudently decided that she could put this on hold, at least as long as it took her to snarf down a treat. “Mew!” she said happily once more and looked as adorable as possible, on the basis that it helped her get more treats.

“Nice to meet you too, Lisa,” Alastair said, shaking the proffered hand. “I’m Alastair. Um. You might have seen me with a large and bad-tempered white houndoom?” he offered a bit more information since he was awfully proud of Conri. The houndoom had hardly maimed anyone on that trip, which was a real accomplishment for him. Actually, Alastair had gotten little Lucine on that trip as well, but he decided not to point that out, on the basis that Lisa hadn’t asked yet.

“So, do you think this camp thing will be as exciting as the last trip? I’m hoping it involves slightly less burning and just a little less intrigue. It’d be nice to have a normal summer for once.” Why, he was starting to get the idea that this was normal!

Zinnia was just on her way to talk to somebody when she realized just how much chaos was going on. "I wonder if this is what most camps are like," she whispered to Zyk. "I was expecting... more organization than this, at least. Maybe we're early after all? Or the camp people are late? What do you think? Zyk?"

Zyk was still lying limply in Zinnia's hands. His wings were quivering and open, for he was too tired to close them. His breathing had slowed to normal and his heart rate was fine, but he would be very sore in the morning.

"I'm sorry, Zyk!" Zinnia said, her own legs trembling. "It's my fault we missed the bus..." Zinnia hugged her tiny pokemon as best she could before sitting down in the middle of everything. "Ahh... I hope we won't be hiking tomorrow..." she sighed, rubbing her legs, which felt like jelly.
