Dear Diary,

Guess what? I met a demon today!

His name was Asmodeus and I went to a real live bar to see him. I’d heard that he was super good in the sack (He’s a lust demon) so I thought I’d check him out.

O.M.G.

Talk about hawt.

He had really long, silky black hair that looked like midnight. Not black, but midnight, with a lot of colors mixed in. His voice was something you could really get off to. And those eyes – Don’t get me started! They were like little chips of coal that burned when he got really passionate.

Whoa, I should stop right there. I’m in the living room right now and it would look really weird if I started in on it.

Anyway, he helped me to realize that it’s okay to be a little loose so long as I was confidante with myself. He told me that I shouldn’t be ashamed to be what I am and to walk with my head held high.

Then we uh…’bumped uglies’ or ‘hawties’, as it was.

His son walked in on us sometime in the morning, but instead of getting mad he wanted to join in. I thought it was kind of weird, so I didn’t want to. By that time I was getting my head back. So I played some games with him, ate lunch and came home.

Weird, ya, but it was totally awesome. The guy bought me a new coat. How cool is that?

With love,
Lissy

Dear Diary,

So, it’s Valentine’s Day and I haven’t heard zip from Vinny.
Does he even like me anymore? I mean, its okay that he doesn’t…I guess. I wish he would just call me or something.
It wasn’t like what we did was wrong! I can’t remember it, but I’m sure it was something really beautiful. Right?

Omg. What if that’s it? What if I was bad in the sack? I mean, I know I was a virgin, but I have no idea if he was. Maybe he was more experienced that I was and is to mad to call me back. I probably ruined everything for him. What is wrong with me? I’m so stupid!

I went to see Asmodeus again today. His son, Piper, bought me a couple drinks and told me not to worry about anything, but I can’t help it. Spending time around them is becoming normal. It feels weird going home in the mornings because I can’t stand it when Moose yells at me. She’s so angry that I don’t even call anymore, but ya know what? I don’t want to. Who wants to call when they know they’re going to be yelled at?

I just want life to be like it was before mom died. She always knew what to do. It wasn’t like she ever lost her head and that’s what I love most about her. I hate my new ‘mom’. She’s so stupid. Piper tells me to give her time, but how much time does it take to become a good mom?

The only time we get along is when she’s teaching me how to fight. She’s pretty good with a spear, so I’m constantly on my toes, but it helps for relations when we can beat the s**t out of each other. I can scream as loud as I want. It feels freeing, being able to work off all that energy. I don’t understand how Wrath kids put up with it for so long.

Piper named my tentacles today. He said since he didn’t have a real present to give me that it would have to do. The little one is now Chibi-chan and the big one is Snake. Bet’cha can’t guess that he was wasted.

Chibi-chan kind of likes its name so I’ll stick with that. Snake, not so much. Everyone puts so much work into naming their tentacles that I feel really weird not having done it until now. Then again, I feel weird period.

Sometimes I wish Pepper would show up. He’s the only person I know that you can bite and have fun with at the same time without getting physical.

Haha! Diary, can you imagine? Pepper, on a boat, coming to see me. The guy can’t even ride a bus without freaking out! I thought he was going to throw up.

Maybe I should go see him sometime. The guy is way too much of a shut in. Can you believe that he lives at the Facility? I just shudder thinking about it. I wonder if his parents work there or someone just forgot to pick him up as a kid. Either way it’s pretty bad.

I think I’ll call him. I wonder if I can talk to him over a phone or if I have to go down to visit? It’s not like it would matter either way, since I’m about to go out. Bailey’s been nagging me to visit for forever, so I feel like I kind owe the kid something.

Wow, at least I feel better! See ya!

With Love,
Lissy

Dear Journal,

I found out where Elisabetta’s been going.

I trailed her one night to this really ratty bar where she was giving things out to this guy and his son – right at the bar! All I remember after that was picking up a beer can and throwing it at his head. I must have caused a real scene because I’m permanently banned and Lissy isn’t talking to me.

She used to be such a happy kid. What happened? I mean, I know those pheromone things in her head kicked in, but isn’t this a bit much? I want my daughter back. Tally’s nice. Hell, sometimes I feel like I’m closer to her than I am to my kid.

Then again she’s not really mine. She’s Gabrielle’s. I can’t be her! I’m not perfect, I’m not super awesome and I don’t have a degree. I know what Lissy wants and she can’t have it because zombies only happen in movies.

I hope she realizes that I care about her really soon because I don’t want her to run away like some street whore. I don’t care what she does, so long as she doesn’t leave. I don’t know if I could handle that.

Sincerely,
Moose

It would be on a Saturday that you open your mail box (if you have one) and notice there is a rather thick envelope stuffed in there. There is no postage stamp and a very vague return address. But you recognize the font and the company's name. 'Seven of Seven Inc' scrawled in majestic font across the upper left hand corner. As you open it, you may strangely find yourself drawn to the letter, there is a mass of notes inside. They read as follows:

Letter
Congratulations! You have managed to succeed in raising your child. (IE: Not killing him or her or getting killed yourself. Haha we kid of course.) We would like an update from you on the following:

Guardians Name:
Child's Name:
Sin:
Virtue:
Gender:
Current Attitude:
Likes:
Dislikes:
Any abnormal growths: (if any, example: Feathers molting, horns growing larger, scars )
Current hair style:
Current clothing preferences:
Dominant celestial trait: (The sin or virtue)

Please summarize in your own words how difficult or easy it was taking care of your child. Did you manage to care for them in a kindly fashion? Or were you forced to discipline them?
As well do not be alarmed if you suddenly find your child achieving a massive growth spurt in the next little while. We are finding that the children from our facility have strange growing patterns and are rather unpredictable. Although please let us know if anything unexpected occurs.

Sincerely the technicians from Seven of Seven Inc.

Ps. Please just leave your letter back in your mail box one you have completed it our courier will pick it up.

Thank you.

You would notice the letter seems overly friendly...strange since the scientist were so ...cold before.

(Just take the from Guardians name to Dominant Celestial trait and pm it to the mule, the summarization doesn't have to be long just have fun with it.)

Dear Diary,

Guess who?

Things are starting to get better again. For a long time all Moose and I did was fight, but since I’ve grown we’ve come to terms, I guess. She still gives me the funny look when I do something wrong, but I can just leave now and she doesn’t want that. Afraid I’ll get hurt or something, I guess.

Whatevs. Anyway, Tally grew too! She’s so pretty, diary, and she can make really cool jewelry. She even promised me that she’d make me some. Wonder what kind I’ll get? Maybe a new charm for my halo’s or a belly chain?

I started a new job, too. My first one! I’m a waitress at a drive in and guess what? I get to roller skate! In a mini-skirt! And I get all kinds of good tips, which is really awesome because I’m trying to save up for college. My teachers say I’m at the top of my class. Something about a hidden brain or whatevs. Their weird.

Umm….what else? I’m not very good at this.

Vincent is still my boyfriend, even though he’d still rather be called Vinny. I don’t get it, diary, Vincent’s kinda hawt for a name, you know? He’s still pretty complicated, and sometimes I get super annoyed at him, but on the whole he’s a good guy. I just wish I could see him more often. Trying to be monogamous with a boyfriend so far away is hard.

OH! One more thing - I’m a big sister. Again. Moose and Sabra adopted two twins (Roman & Kieran) from the labs. And here I thought it was rough before. Roman practically destroys everything he can get his grubby little hands on while Kieran plays puppet master in the shadows. If they weren’t so evil they could be cute, but not really.

Anywho, gotta split! I’ve got a hot date tonight and I don’t want to be late.

Kisses!
Lissy

“Thank you, miss. You can leave now.”

Elisabetta looked back into the passenger seat to see the woman growling while her husband couldn’t’ take his eyes off the teenager. By now, Lissy was used to it. She smiled and nodded before pulling out, doing a little twirl on her skates before skating to the pick up window. Her mini-skirt billowed up, and out of fashion, her tentacles pushed it back down.

A large, green skinned man leaned over the railing with a laugh. “Girl, can’t you be normal for once?”

“Isn’t normal the new weird?” She grinned. “C’mon, Mened. Where’s that order?”

“Keep your skirt on.” He turned around and came back to swap out her empty tray with one covered in burgers.

When she skated back out, she leapt off the sidewalk onto the pavement, then slide to a stop next to the car. “Here you are,” the customer handed her a wad of bills, then leaned around her with a whistle. “Would you look at that? Someone’s got some cash.”

Lissy held the tray to her chest and spun around, her halos going into over time. Cash was an understatement. Whoever was inside of the black car was obviously loaded beyond all belief. And somewhere in there was the best tip she’d get all year. Elisabetta held her head high, took out her pad and pen, and approached.

The closer she got, the further down the window rolled until she could see a middle-aged woman who was obviously watching the way she moved. It didn’t bother Lissy. Women were good too, if you could get them to loosen up a little. “Evening, ma’am. What can I get you?”

The woman lowered her sunglasses and looked Lissy over. “Frankie was right about you.”

“Frankie?” The creeper who stalked her every Wednesday? How did this high glass dame know about that guy? “What about him?”

The woman snapped up. “Look, I’m not interested in food. I’m here for you.”

Lissy cocked her hip to the side, longer tentacle balancing the tray on her hip. “That’s extra.”

“Not that.” She frowned and dug out a business card. “Be here at 3pm on Saturday and bring a swim suit. Don’t be late.”

Elisabetta nodded and stepped back, waited for the woman to pull out before flipping the card over.

Roman crossed his legs and sat down on the floor of his bedroom, looked up at his older sister before she sat down across from him. He didn’t like this. Lissy was much too much of a cuddly person for his tastes, and even now her tentacles were trying to prod him.

The toddler hiss and lashed out at them, causing them to raise up like a striking viper. He leaned forward in a crouch only squeel when Lissy hit him on the head with a newspaper. “Shhh. Bad Roman.”

He pulled back with a growl, cupping his head in his hands.

“Okay, since Moose is gone, we’re going to play home school. Your going to learn your numbers.”

Oh great. He couldn’t think of a better way to spend his day than learning with someone he hated. The toddler crossed his arms over his chest and looked away.

Lissy scoffed. The little p***k! “ I’m being serious. It’s not that hard, and I know your not all the way stupid.” He growled. “Well, are you then?”

Slowly, hesitantly, Roman shook his head. “Okay. Let’s get started.”

Once she had his attention again, Lissy pointed to herself. “I am one. There is only one of me and none other, just like there is only one of you.”

“One?” Roman pointed to himself. So far so good.

“Mm’hmm. You and me, we’re two. There are two of us. One-” She pointed at her chest “plus one” she pointed at him, “ is two.”

He looked like he understood, so she pressed forward. “You, me and Kieran are three, but if you add Tally that’s four, and if you take me out of it it’s three again.”

Roman was ticking everyone off on his fingers and trying his best to keep up until she started rambling off numbers that he couldn’t possibly keep track of. The more he tried, the more frustrated he became until he screamed.

“And fifteen is- Roman?”

“One!” He slammed his fist on the floor. “Two! Three! Four!-” Each time he said a number, he slammed another fist onto the floor until the hard wood was starting to look rough. “Hate this, hate you! Get out!”

Lissy scrambled up onto her feet before he could come flying at her and slammed the door in his face. She sighed and pressed her back to it. “Well, at least he learned something.”

Elisabetta flipped through the stack of bills apathetically, bouncing from side to side as she unlocked the front door. “Whats this?” She looked down at the yellow envelope, covered in glitter and star stickers. It was addressed to her, from Bailey. The thought made her smile as she kicked the door closed.

The teen turned around and sat on the steps, sitting the rest of the mail at her side. Taking one of her keys, she slit the top of the envelope open and pulled out a sheet of bunny shaped stationary.

The first half of the letter was written with a pink marker in a child’s crude hand writing;

Lissy,
Dis is Bailey. Ello! I miss you lots and hopez you come to veesit real soon. I try call, but did not go, so here is a letur.
Love,
Bailey.

She smiled warmly, leaning back against the wall as she curled up on the steps. Bailey was growing so fast. That last time she’d seen her younger sibling had been so long ago that she knew she wouldn’t recognize it now. She wondered if it would recognize her. Lissy twirled her hair around her finger, scanning over doodles of flowers and a sun to the stricter handwriting at the bottom and on the back.

Elisabetta.
As you and I are both aware, the anniversary of Gabrielle’s death is fast approaching. Bailey and I are planning a visit to the grave this weekend, so if you’re not too busy, Bailey would like for you to come with us.

“b***h.” She murmured, biting her lower lip. It hurt, to think that her own grandmother thought she was that big of a slut to miss something like this.

In other news, Bailey is growing just fine. It’s sprouting up like a weed, though it’s still behind it’s peers in physical growth. Since we’ve been going out more often, I’ve noticed just how much more sociable Bailey is now. You’d think you were looking at a completely different child. I don’t know how my daughter over looked that.

Did you realize that you missed it’s birthday? We had cake and ice cream, a simple affair, but it waited for your visit. Or a phone call. Maybe a card in the mail. I don’t like to interfere in your life, Elisabetta, but honestly, shape up. Bailey believes in you like no one else I’ve ever seen, though I honestly don’t know why, and you let it down.

Sincerely,
Lo

Lissy stared at the parchment. Slowly, one by one her fingers loosened. The letter fluttered about her knees before falling to the ground. Then it was picked back up.

With determined strides, Elisabetta climbed the two flights of stairs to her bedroom, passing her family in the living room. She didn’t look at anyone; they weren’t her real family, but they were better than the real thing and they didn't need to see her like this.

She slammed the bedroom door shut behind her. Her tentacles reared up in anger, feeding off the intense emotions radiating off her. How could she say that? Those awful, nasty things? No one said that, even to someone they truly hated.

And if she thought that would be the end of it, she was wrong.

Elisabetta snatched up a pad of paper and pencil, then started writing like a bat out of hell.

Lo.
I hope you choked on those words when Bailey’s present came in the mail. Sorry it was late; they don’t do express shipping on bicycles. Did it like it? I couldn’t call because someone doesn’t know when to hang up the ******** phone.

Listen here, Grandmother, like it or not we’re in this together, so I’d like the respect I deserve. What I do in my private time is of no concern to you, because, as you so aptly told me when mother passed, I’m not your problem.

I’ll be there this weekend without fail and I’ll be so damn sweet you’ll have to suck on lemons just to be around me. That shouldn’t be too hard for you; you’re so full of bitterness already we might actually cancel each other out enough to be a supportive parent for Bailey.

No one’s perfect; not me, not you, and neither was mom, so get over yourself and man up. I’ve got a wonderful boyfriend, a FAMILY who loves me, a job I'm crazy about and friends who miss me when I’m gone. And I’m happy. So, no matter what you say to me, I’m just going to let it slip from here on out. Got it?

Oh, and btw, I’m buying the flowers. Mom’s favorite were lilies, not those god awful roses you slapped up on memorial day.

With love,
Elisabetta

Taken From Vinny's Journal
Vincent had been having trouble finding a way to express his feelings to his girlfriend; he had tried writing a song, as his older brother Joshua had suggested. He had tried writing poetry. He had tried painting a picture, like his father did for their mother when she was feeling down. No such luck. And since he had missplaced her phone number...

A letter was the only way he could think of, short of going to her house.

Quote:
Dear Lissy,

Hey, it's Vincent. You haven't called me in a while, so I thought I'd write. I miss you! Could we meet up sometime? I found this restaurant a couple days ago and thought we could go together. My treat, of course. I think you'd like it, really; it has all sorts of pastas, salads and sandwiches. My personal favorite is the turkey melt; but I also like the spaggetti. The dessert there's also really good--though not nearly as good as my mom's. She says she'd like to see you again sometime.

Some kind of backwards tradition, I think. Isn't it supposed to be me that comes over to meet your family, since we're dating? I don't know, but if you'd like to come over--I'd be sure to make sure mom didn't tease you too much. She seems to really like the idea of us being together.

And I do, too, Lissy. I hope you agree with us. Maybe we could meet up before Christmas. I have something I want to give you--and that must sound strange, coming from me. It's something I really think you'll like.

I love you,

Vinny

When Elisabetta stepped outside to get the mail, she could honestly say that she was surprised to see a letter from her boyfriend mixed in-between the bills and magazines. “He’s never written me a letter before.” She pondered gleefully, already imaging the thousand-and-one things that could be written within. Was it a deep confession of his love? Of how much he missed her? Maybe he had a new job in a foreign land and he had to see her one last time, but secretly they were going to run away together and elope?

“Oh my God, I have know NOW!” She’d barely gotten halfway up the staircase when the teen ripped into the letter, sending the rest flying around her. The longer of her two tentacles grabbed a magazine, only to droop when the bills dropped out of reach.

“Dear Lissy,” she read out loud. “Oh, wow, he’s using his full name. He’s never done that before.” Elisabetta looked down at her tentacle, and pondered. “Maybe it’s serious.” The longer she stood in the stairwell and read, oblivious to the sounds of chaos only one floor above her, the warmer her heart felt. Whatever doubts she’d had that she was being forgotten flew out the door, even if he didn’t call.

She walked back down to scoop up the mail and traipsed up to the second floor, pausing to pass the mail off onto Roman before sashaying into her shared suite. Regardless of whether Tally was there or not, she simply snatched up a piece of notebook paper, a pink pen and walked out onto the balcony, humming with a goofy smile on her face with the letter tucked into her top. Then she set down at the table outside and began to write.

Lissy wrote
Dearest Vincent,

I’m so sorry that I haven’t called. I’ve been really busy with work and school lately, but I promise I’ll do it more often. I miss you too, sugar bunny!, and of course I’d love to go the restaurant with you. I can give you your Thanksgiving present (yes, you get one!).

Guess what? I have two new sisters now. TWO. And they’re both from the labs! Moose adopted a teenager named Cera and Sabra adopted a toddler named Aile. Cera’s so sweet and Aile’s a little hell cat, and it’s so funny to see her fight with Roman. I think she’s the only person he fears.

And, now that you mention it, you really should come meet them, since I’ve got five live in siblings now instead of one, like when we met. And we moved! It’s a really big house by the beach, and even though I have to share a room, I really love it. Oh! And it’s on the Isle de Gambino, which means I’m farther away, but that’s not a problem, is it? I can’t wait to show you. And don’t worry about the teasing – I love your mom like my own and I’ll just tease her right back.

If I bought you a phone, would you text me? I miss you and moneys not a problem since I have a job – I’ll buy you unlimited, if you’ll promise to use it.

Love you lots and wishing you were here,
Elisabetta

XOXOXOXO
