Pokemon Entering for; Luxio
Prompt Entry;
Nala, the younger sister of the pokemon trainer Douglas Donald, was once again following after her older brother. Katarina City was busy as ever. Shops opened everywhere with the flashiest sign that stated 'open'. Her little pigtails, not any longer than her palm, bounced lightly as she skipped after Douglas.
"Dougy! Dougy!! What are we doing today?"
"I'm going to meet Sean, you are going straght home."
The 8 year old never understood why her brother always seperated the two of them in sentences. Did he not want to see her? He didnt. Douglas found Nala annoying and a suck up. He would tell her to go away and she would, but come back with their mother weeping in her arms. Nala giggled and looked up to the big blue sky, clouds smoothly gliding across them. Her little eyes widened and sparkled as she giggled more and continue her daily 'jog' with Douglas. Every morning Douglas would head over to his best friend, Sean's house for a practice. His dream was to become a great trainer. Nala was only 8, no pokemon for her yet but she always looked foward to that one day. Passing by the Hospital, Nala waved to some of the nurses there. They all somewhat resembled each other, she always found that rather amusing. Her little heart pumped pumped pumped the little joyful girl. Douglas was muttering something under his breath, Nala tried to listen in but never quite understood the words he used. Around them, stood buildings of all sorts, here and there. Everyone out on the sunny day carrying a pokeball, small pokemon, gifts, or ice cream. Nala's stomache growled as she watched a mint chocolate chip ice cream flow past her in someone's hands. In her very own arms, she held a tiny case filled with tiny jars of peanut butter. This was given by her mother and said to be given to Sean's mother. Nala drooled over peanut butter but she could not stick one little finger in because she knew that this was a gift and not a treat for her.
"Dougy, I'm hungry."
"I dont care."
Not even stopping to look back at his younger sister, Douglas continued his way towards Sean's house, he had to live about on the other side of the busy place. He sighed and looked up, the bangs covering his left eye slid over and revealed both eyes to the sky. You could spot some bug pokemon flying above. They overwhelmed the sun's rays. That was until they floated pass the star and Douglas blinked a few times. His eyes hurting from sudden light hitting his eyeballs. Nala didnt let a sight escape her, everything was so unique out here. It wasn't the first time she's come to experience the busy life in them iddle of the city, but everyday all the shops always had something different about them. They passed by a cafe with cute little chairs and tables placed in front of the place, huge umbrellas hovering over them like trees. The smell of the sweetened scent flowing out from the opened cafe door made Nala more hungry, now even thirsty. She picked up her pace and followed tugged on her brother's loose shirt, this was her chance, it was the last food place she can spot with her eyes before they leave to Sean's place. Douglas halted and turned back finally to give his sister some attention, but not exactly friendly. Nala pointed to the shop and made the puppy face which always convinced their mother but oh no, not Douglas. Yanking foward, it jerked Nala foward too, watery eyes turned to the cafe one last time then she started after her brother.
Too far for little Nala to run through all that and go home to find her mommy. She had to stay with Douglas, Nala hated getting lost. Only one time had she gotten lost and that was in a store where the clothing racks rosed higher than she could ever see. It was like a maze for poor Nala. The path her brother was taking today was rather different, it held trees one each side and a dirt road. Normally Douglas would follow a brick road. Confused and lost Nala thought it was best to ask.
"Where are you going Dougy?"
Douglas sighed before answering. "I'm going to meet Sean in Seatence." Not giving any more information than that.
Nala looked left and right. She was scared seeing how mysterious the trees looked and how even more mysterious it was between the trees deeper into the place they were heading. The girl in her pink little dress and glossy black shoes, started weeping stopping in her tracks. Douglas frowned and turned to see Nala rubbing her eyes with a very ugly frown upon her face.
"What?"
"I---I....I want m--mommy."
"Gosh, Nala why dont you just stay home."
"B--but I---I want to be j-just like you."
"You will never be like me." he whispered but a litle too loudly that Nala had heard.
"W-why?"
"...Because you are so annoying!"
That made Nala gasp, throw her hand back like she was pressing against a wall. Her little eyes widening and hair flying foward as she jerked her head back. She was...annoying? Nala started crying more and looked for the first place to run to. Anywhere was better than being there with her meanie brother. Heading past the trees, Nala kept her eyes squeezed shut as she rushed into the woody area. Douglas watched her unable to move, knowing that if he didnt catch his little sister, his mother would truly kill him.
Nala kept running not watching or knowing where or how far she was going. Stumbling upon a tree root, Nala fell to the floor as well the case. Luckily, only one jar gotten loose and bounced out of the case. Then rolled a bit but did not break. Nala laid on her stomache weeping. How could Douglas say such a thing.
Buang! Buug bung.... A sound? Her little head pulled upwards. Brown and green all over the place, she looked around for another sound. What she heard at first was it just her? Luxio slowly got to her little paws, and she stretched like cat, tail wiggling behind herself. Her ears erected when she coudl hear a very very light sound coming not too far away. Golden eyes flickign from side to side, trying to spot the source, finally catching something in pink, Luxio excitedly pawed over. Not walking, but rather running. Oh boy, she loved company! Sniffing around the young human still laying on her stomache, her back lifting up and down with such sad noises. Luxio tilted her head and nuzzled her company. What was she doing?
Nala lifted her head and gasped as she held her eyes on the pokemon that stood on all fours before herself. Tear stains down her cheeks, but she wiped them away as she watched the pokemon sniff her. Nala giggled but not as cheerful as she always did. Her baby pink dress was stained with brown. Her eyes saddening.
Uh oh. The girl looked upset yet again. Luxio took a few small steps foward to see if she would attack, first she didnt notice, but after the human smiled but Luxio could tell she was still hurt. Deep in her eyes there was something that hurt her. Luxio tilted her head yet again, then she lifted her front paws and placed them on the young girl's lap since now the girl was sitting with her legs out to the sides. That looked more friendlier than before where she was lying on her tummy. Luxio felt a gentle hand slide ontop her head. Oh boy, she liked the attention she was getting from this human. Licking Nala's hand, Nala giggled more joyfully. A few more licks and pettings made Luxio jumped onto her lap and rub her body against her new friend. Nala, being a small girl and onyl eight, was overwhelmed by the weight and she fell back with a 'oof!'. Luxio paused and looked at her company, who was now lying on her back, what was she doing lying on her back? First silence came inbetween the two, then Nala started giggling, much louder this time. Luxio felt her heart light up and she pawed off the girl and started licking her forehead. They were having fun! A glimmer caught Luxio's attention as she was playing with Nala. Whats this? A box? Luxio curiously pawed over and sniffed it. Even with tight metal lids clamping the jars closed, she could still catch the smell. Oh how lovely it smelt, mmmm. Nala pulled herself up and got on her hands and knees. She crawled over like Luxio, although it was a bit different in human form.
"Hehe....do you like peanut butter?"
Luxio titled her head and sat on her bottom unsure what the girl meant. Nala reached towards the box and pulled out a small jar. Young and not very strong but the jar's lids werent hard when provoked. Nala was able to loosen the lid and pull it off. She held the lid in her tiny palm and stuck out of pointing finger into the jar. Pulled out a nice big drop of peanut butter. Held out her hand and waited for Luxio. Luxio first siffed it, and it smelt good. Tilting her head, she wanted to try it, but wasn't sure if it was edible. Golden orbs looking up at Nala, and Nala smiled. The pokemon sniffed it again before licking the finger. Mmm, this was good. Licking the finger clean, Nala was giggling the whole time, Luxio wanted more. She put a paw at the edge of the opened jar. Then she stuck her head foward and started licking the peanut butter in the jar. Nala was too young to identify what pokemon this was, btu she did enjoy their company. She watched Luxio lick the peanut butter rather joyfully.
"I....I think I'll call you....Peanut." Nala giggled and continued to pet Luxio as the electric pokemon kept eating. Luxio's ears perked up at the word 'Peanut', did she like that word? Yes, if that is what this stuff is called. Luxio lifted her head with peanut butter smeared over and around her mouth. Gave a lick to Nala and made a little sound that showed she was happy. Nala giggled and then heard the call of her brother. Douglas came crunching through and found Nala sitting with a Luxio in her face . He could clearly see that the case of peanut butter wont be the gift now. Douglas frowned and stepped out to Nala, who had turned her head back to Luxio.
"Nala....I----I'm sorry."
No answer back.
"It was rude of me to say that....," He sighed not giving much effort into his apology.
"You dont mean it....."
"..I do." He crouched and looked at his litte sister.
Nala glanced up at her brother with glossy eyes, and she slowly got up. Luxio took her paws off and was wagging her tail. Oh boy, more company! Luxio curved her body around Nala's legs and around Douglas' legs. Course, this made Nala giggle.
"You made a friend, Nala."
"Yep, I name it Peanut!"
"I can see why...." Douglas said looking at the Luxio with the substance on its face.
"Can we keep it?"
"Well.....no Nala, I dont think it would want to come home with us."
"Why?"
"....Lets just go ok?"
"Dougy, but why?"
"Come on Nala."
Douglas started walking off carryign the remaining jars in the case. The case felt tilted in his hands because it was unbalanced with one jar pulled out. That would be the opened jar that Nala clung to with watery eyes. She looked down at Luxio and said, "I'm...sorry." Resting the jar with the rest of the peanut butter in it, Nala started after her brother. Luxio looked down at the jar, then up, then down. She tilted her head cutely and ran after Nala. Then past Nala and started licking Douglas' hand carrying the case.
"Hey!"
"I think she likes us!" Nala giggled watching Luxio wag her tail like an excited dog and roll onto her back. "Can we pleeeeeaaaase keep it?"
Douglas thought for a bit, but then sighed and faced foward. "Don't look at me to take care of it....plus mom has to approve." Douglas knew deep inside that his mother would approve, speically for little Nala. Nala giggled and started running after her brother while making a signal to Luxio to follow. Luxio tiled her head and rolled back onto all fours.

Renekai sat in the shade of the trees on Pilkiras Plain, lazily chewing on a long blade of grass. in her bag were six pokeballs; two contained Bell and Dreydonna, Renekai's pokemon, but the rest were empty. The young trainer had come to the plains on the pretense of catching a new pokemon, but now she was just lazing about. "What I really need is a..." Renekai began sleepily.
"Luxio!" interrupted a mysterious voice.
"... Exactly," Renekai said. "I need a Luxio. And to catch one, I need to use a good..." This time Renekai stopped because a rather large peanut had just flopped into her lap. "... Peanut?" Renekai blinked. Then she looked to her left, where a cheerful and furry face looked back. Renekai examined the peanut once more, before blinking and staring bemusedly at the Luxio. "Peanut?"
Peanut wagged her tail and giggled.
Renekai picked up the peanut and waved it cautiously at the blue pokemon. When Peanut jumped for the nut, Renekai laughed aloud. "You're such a nut. Peanut!"
Peanut grabbed the peanut, growling playfully before she cracked the shell with her teeth and devoured the round balls inside. "Lux!" she yipped, jumping onto Ren's stomach.
Renekai grunted as she had the wind knocked out of her, but she laughed and scratched Peanut behind the ears anyway. "Peanut, you are so silly," Renekai said, trying to subdue the hyper Luxio. "I'm sorry, but I don't have a nut to give you, except... Hang on..." Renekai somehow managed to get her hand into her pocket and produced a cashew.
Peanut's eyes widened with excitement at the sight of the little nut. "Lux! Luxio io!" she said, jumping up once more. She wanted the nut! The nut meant fun! Get the nut! Take the nut from the human!
Renekai quickly got to her feet and teased Peanut for a good long while before the Luxio managed to snatch it, meaning that the pair of them spent the next twenty minutes running around, each wanting to keep the nut. At last, Renekai flung herself back down under the tree, panting heavily.
"Lux?" Peanut asked through the nut in her jaws, approaching the tired trainer carefully. She wasn't going to fall for any tricks and allow her nut to be taken!
"You win, Peanut," Renekai laughed. "I have to go, so maybe I'll see you later!" Sadly, it hadn't occurred to Renekai to try and capture Peanut. Perhaps it was because she always thought of wild pokemon as something that was afraid of you, and that you had to battle first, befriend later. Or maybe Peanut seemed so tame that she must have had an owner nearby. Whatever the case, Renekai didn't use a pokeball. Instead, she got up and made for the nearest town.
After a minute of uncertainty, Peanut crunched up the cashew and scampered playfully after Renekai. That trainer had nuts! Yummy! Plus, she was a lot of fun. Maybe if Peanut stayed close to the human, they could play more. Peanut wouldn't let the trainer get away so easily; not when there were nuts to be had!

Pokemon trying for: Peanut
Response:
A cold wind stirred the fallen leaves, and they whispered ominously, swirling and drifting through the dense, dark, Howling Forest. It stopped, and again the woods were left in complete silence. Sometimes, a distant chorus of howls would break the monotonous quiet, sending chills up and down the weary trainer's spine.
Day shivered, the cold night slowly coming upon her. She knew, by the way her knees shook and quivered, that she had to find either warmth or a way out of the forest before night completely shrouded the forest in darkness and frigid temperatures.
Alex, her Arcanine, would have provided sufficient warmth for the night, but he was weak from a close battle with the Meowths of Seatence Valley. Faith and Cosmo were warm at home, where they had been left for a break from traveling.
"Oh, how nice it would be to cuddle up in bed at home, out of this awful forest!" Day thought as the last evening light faded, and night settled in. It was wishful thinking, but not to come true any time soon.
With a thud, Day lay on the bed of dry leaves, and, though suffering from the cold, began to doze off. She was entering a dream of soft beds, and a crackling fire on a white winter day.
Suddenly, a small object was fired at Day's head, and the fire faded in her dreams. She sat up, alert, looking for the culprit, when another same size object came flying at her. She was getting annoyed. What dumb joke was this, and who was behind it?
A happy cry came from the darkness.
"Lux!"
"Who are you?" Day asked, frantic.
But silence was the response, and that's the same response she got for the next few minutes, as she sat there, wondering and worrying.
Dismissing the strange event as another dream, Day attempted sleep again, and once again she was drifting off...
Something nice and soft brushed against her cheek, and, assuming she was still dreaming, Day snuggled up to it. To her delight, it snuggled back up to her, and stayed there.
At the crack of dawn, light was leaking through the dense forest top. Day awoke, and hugged the Pokemon that lay next to her.
...
...
Wait. What Pokemon?
"Ahhhhhhh!" she screamed, suddenly questioning what she had thought was an odd dream of being pelted with small objects the night before.
Scattered all around were peanuts, and a trail of shells was leading from the Luxio's mouth. The strange Luxio woke up and yawned, more shells spilling out of its mouth.
"Lux?" It looked at Day curiously.
"Hey, um," She looked around, and quickly came up with something to call it, other than 'Luxio'. "Peanut. Do you know the way out of this forest?" Day asked, sick and tired of the strange woodland.
In response, Peanut got up, took a few steps in what Day assumed was the direction of of there, and spit a peanut at Day's forehead.
"Lux!"
