Hello all. I just have to say before starting that this is the first guild I've joined on Gaia that actually makes me feel young. ^_^
I'm turning 18 on friday *hums happy birthday to self*

I go by Jac, based on an abbriviation of part of my name, but seeing as we already have one of those here... Dunno you can call me whatever you wish to I guess.

I'm graduating high school this year and going to art college to major in illustration this coming fall. I have no idea where yet... I'm not done applying.

I love to sew, and often sew my own random articles of clothing when purchased items just wont do. Costuming is a passion of mine, and I am an avid Renn. Faire attendee.
I also love to draw and paint.
I love to read, and I'll read basicly anything. I've been known to read the dictionary when all else fails.
I can usually be found in the woods somewhere, either climbing a tree or cat-napping on top of a boulder with a good book.

I'm single, but that doesn't really matter as I don't internet date or anything like that. I've loved two people before, and I had a boyfriend once. I'm not very good at relationships. I'm either to shy to begin them, or I'm to unconventional to make them last. The only boy who had the nerve to ask me out had no idea what he was in for. I'm not the type to be a pretty arm piece. I'm what guys would call a crazy-psycho-libral-b***h. I'd be the one hauling the huge gun around commanding the crew of cowed brawny pirates who all adore me for being so fiesty, but are to scared to treat me like an equal or as one of their number.

I live in what is currently the cold frosty coast of New England. It's very beautfifull. I like it here, but I wish it were warmer.

Some would say it's better than old England, where the people on a diet of fish fingers and drizzle! xd
You certainly sound like a most impressive character madam!

Indeed. The only time I've been to England was in the summer when I was 11 and the only thing I remember about London was thinking it looked exactly like Boston and no one we met actually had british accents. It confused my poor 11 year old self. I think I was expecting Diagon Alley. haha Of course this was years and years ago and I can hardly remember it now.
The English countryside we passed on the way to Scottland was gorgeous however. I'm used to thick woods so rolling grassy hills were a completely awe inspiring experiance for me. I wanted to leap out of the bus and run for miles over those hills. XD

I see you are from England! How are fish fingers and drizzle treating you?
I would very much like to go back to England someday and see more of it. My trip was a student ambassador one, and very limited.

And, thank you very much. I'm not sure if impressive is how I'd refer to myself, more like eccentric, but I won't fight a compliment.

My real name is Eryk, I'm 20 years old (soon to be 21 in April).

HABITAT:
I've lived in Texas, USA all my life, but recently moved to the Dallas area (close to Oklahoma) after living in the Houston area (close to Gulf of Mexico) most of my life. I've never really left the state, but I would love to travel all over the country, the continent, and even the world. I've found that I vehemently dislike humidity and prefer drier climates, but in the right circumstances, I'd be happy pretty much anywhere that isn't a desert or a swamp.

SOCIAL LIFE AND HOBBIES:
When I'm not wasting away on the interwebs, I'm a horrible student in a university -- I was recently told I was ineligible to sign up for any more classes unless I transfer to a community college and get my GPA back up a little. I spend most of my ample free-time playing video games, watching TV and movies, listening to a wide range of music, loving my girlfriend (we live together in a small apartment), and trying to coordinate free-time with my more responsible friends who have little free time. Also currently in desperate need of employment...

I'm a programmer (C, C++, Java, and some Assembly), but I'm not advanced enough to have a job in that field. I create artificial languages (conlangs, see my signature) as a hobby in addition to studying real languages. Not fluent in anything but English but if I spend a week or two brushing up on my Spanish I'd be conversationally apt. I've taken clases for Spanish (about 5 years total), German (1 year) and Mandarin Chinese (1 year) and really my favorite was Mandarin Chinese, but Spanish is the easiest. I love to tinker with things and do DIY projects like papercraft and modifications, but a restrictive budget makes this difficult, so I usually gravitate toward the cheaper hobbies like reading, writing fiction and "world building," and other creative things.

Oh, and I love spicy food. Seriously, gimme all you got and I can take it! RAWR.

A FEW FAVORITES:
Video Games-- BioShock, Zelda, some Final Fantasy, Halo, most first person shooters, third person shooters, real-time RPGs, and RTS like Starcraft and Command & Conquer. I also love puzzle games but color-oriented games like Collapse, Zuma, and Hexic are difficult for me due to my colorblindness.

Movies-- Dark City, Steamboy, most of Studio Ghibli, Southland Tales, older comedy like Monty Python, a lot of speculative fiction sci-fi and fantasy, Pink Floyd's The Wall

Books-- anything by Michael Crichton, Terry Pratchett, the Halo spin-off books, some of the early 20th century classics

A FEW FACTS:
I'm colorblind. I often can't tell colors apart, usually in pairs, like red/green, green/brown, blue/purple, purple/red, yellow/orange. I can see colors just fine for the most part, but I actually only see about 95% of visible colors that normal eyes see, which is what causes the color confusion. And yes, I can still tell traffic light colors apart, as they're designed to be easy for people like me to see.

I can't drive. Never learned how, lazy mom didn't do her part when I was in high school, and now I'll have to take adult driving classes, but they're expensive. I can ride a bike, but it's not always practical for longer distances and in the Texas heat.

I can take a computer apart and put it back together in less than 5 minutes, assuming it isn't built in a way that prohibits "user" maintenance like some Apple products and some of the older Dell/Gateway products.

THERE! That's just about anything even remotely interesting about me that strangers on the internet might want to know.

Hello, my name is Skyler, I am 16 and live in Minnesota. In addition to liking steampunk, I am a huge metalhead (favorite bands include ACDC, Rammstein, Dream Theater, Children of Bodom, DevilDriver, Slayer, Iron Maiden, Nine Inch Nails, etc), I listen to quite a bit of techno/rave, and some classical, since I do play electric bass and clarinet. Favorite movies are Hellboy II, Evil Dead Trilogy, My Name Is Bruce, Dead Alive, Waltz With Bashir, any Quinten Tarintino movie, Shaun of the Dead.
My absolute favorite games are Doom, Doom II, Half-Life, Diablo II, MUGEN.
I am trying to learn some programming languages, since the fields I want to go into are computer programmer or computer sciences.
My favorite books are That Was Then, This is Now , and Anthem, Harry Potter books, both Lewis Carrol's Alice books, really I will read anything fantasy (except for Twilight, that can go suck my left nut sack.)
Shows I am a fan of are Home Movies, Supernatural, My Name is Earl, and The Office.
Some of my hobbies are trail biking, D&D (oh yeah), and prop making (mostly steampunk firearms, since they are so damn fun to make)
Some other interesting facts are I don't really like the whole goth scene, though I think of steampunk and goth two completely different subjects, I am currently on my school's robotics team in FIRST robotics.

Sparkly Genius

Hullo, I go by Lily. If you want to know my true name we have to know each other in real life. XD
I'm 29 (old, I know~), and live in New Mexico, USA. Yes, I'm single, and yes I'm female, but I'm not looking for any relationships beyond friends.

I like to crochet in my spare time. I haven't made anything particularly special; just a couple of winter hats that saw some use this winter. I also sew by hand as I don't have a machine. However it is tedious and I haven't done it lately.
I'm a big fan of mmorpgs (mostly fantasy), and currently play one called Mabinogi.

I also love video games, and my favourites are The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (for the Gamecube), Lumines II (for the Sony PSP), and Portal (for the PC).

I also read, and besides the Harry Potter series and the Lord of the Rings trilogy (including The Hobbit and The Silmarillion as well), another favourite book of mine is Year of Wonders: A Novel of the Plague by Geraldine Brooks. I really love historical fiction, particularly anything that has to do with the medieval or Victorian time-periods. Philippa Gregory is another favourite historical fiction author of mine; she wrote The Other Boleyn Girl and others.

I also like Japanese culture. Many movies by Hayao Miyazaki are my favourites; I won't bother to list them here as it will be a long list. I also like Japanese horror films, and some music. My musical tastes run from classical to rock to trance. The only music I do not like is Gospel, country, r&b, rap, and hip-hop.

I love rats, and have had a few as pets. Currently I do not have any, as I was so distraught after the death of my beloved Severus, I don't feel ready for any more pets right now. His brother Remus passed away a year before he did due to a brain tumour. Sev died to a combination of old age and what we think was stomach cancer. sad

Well, that's all I can think of for now. Cheers~ (^_^)

My name's Sean Patrick Nolan (Irish as ******** eh?) and I'm from Ohio. I'm 19 years old, 20 in May, and I'm currently staying in my hometown while I get visa issues worked out for me to go back to Australia to my fiancee.

I'm currently unemployed, trying to get work, and trying to get into a university. I have lived overseas in Australia for about a year. I've written a cyberpunk novel (sorry guys. lol) and I'm looking into getting it published. I like playing DnD, have since I was ten. I've never been that big into gaming like some people of my generation can be, but I do play mostly RPG's and RTS's, with an FPS thrown in there here and there.

I'm a self professed movie addict. I can't get enough of them, especially when it's a good comic book adaption (Watchmen ftw). I used to have close to 50 different movies in my collection. I love to read as well as to write. I love music of almost all kinds. Classic Rock, Street Punk (I used to be street punk), Garbage Punk, Skate Punk, Hardcore Punk, Classic Punk, Heavy Metal, Hair Metal, Death Metal, Black Metal, Power Metal, Delta Blues, Electric Blues, Folk rock, some older Country, Indie rock, Grunge Rock, Alternative Rock, 90's Music in general, Underground rap and I think... That's about it. lol

I love history, in fact I used to reenact Frontier Ohio history (think Last of the Mohicans) I hope to go to college, get a degree in history, and then eventually teach and get a PHD so I can be a professor of history and speak at colleges. My closet interests are linguistics, anthropology, mythology and mythological archetypes (think Joseph Campbell), politics, pre-historic human ancestry, and philosophy.

I can be either a die hard cynic, or at the same time a romantic. I can be either very laid back or the most uptight person you've ever met (depends on who you speak to). I can be soft and cuddly like a puppy (mostly around my fiancee sweatdrop ) or stern like a wolf.

Um... But enough of that. I think that's all to say about me.
