There was so much going on that poor little Narcassis could feel his head spinning. Whining the little yellow-gold palui sunk down to the ground and attempted to slink off toward a much calmer spot unseen. There were too many older palui here and chances were, he was probably gonna get lost among them or worst...trampled by them!

Tail swaying slowly behind him like a little golden beacon, Narcassis began to make his way through the cluster of adults in an attempt at escaping without being seen. Maybe he'd be able to find his way back to the settlement without getting lost. If he was lucky that is.

Lexie rolled her eyes. Thank God he wasn't stupid, but it didn't help her in her fight to get him to Mt. Manu. But it seemed that he was becoming tired, and hopefully more cooperative, which would be less stressful for everyone.

Lexie looked back at all the other Palui around and said loudly for everyone to hear, "If you'd like to help us get Helios to Mt. Manu, please follow us up stream". And with that, Lexie began to firmly nudge Helios in that direction, but also away from the water. To be honest, she wasn't too keen on being near the river either, but she felt she knew how to conduct herself better around water.

"Care to give me a hand, Lillu? And, what would your name be my dear?" Lexie asked the deep yellow female, whilst continuing to nudge Helios into the undergrowth.

"Oh- of course!"
Lillu had been busy watching Lexie in awe at her elaborate performance of the story of the Great Fire God, so much so that before she knew it, Helios had already shot down the joke before she could play along! And she'd been looking forward to it, too.
As Lillu bowed her head to help nudge Helios away from the water, she spotted the retreating Narcassis, slinking his way away from the densely populated delta.
"Oh, excuse me! You with the golden-yellow fur? Could you please help us out if you're not too busy?"
Lillu smiled sweetly, tail wriggling. Everyone liked to help out, right?

Ooc||: I'm being chucked off for the night, so I'll be back tomorrow! Night everyone! :]

Lexie grinned happily that she would at least have two to help her. Two females at that, which meant that they would all be on the same wave length in reaction to Helios' ego problem, which made her giggle a bit.
"Thank you Lillu, Butterscotch. My name is Lexie" She purred happily. She felt a little pride, as she seemed to be taking charge a little, which in turn, made her feel more knowledgeable. Oh what a joyous feeling, and a special one at that. But, she also thought to herself, that she better not exploit the role she was taking on. Treating everyone with fairness, respect, and kindness was the best way to go. And in the task she was about to take up, trust would play a large part too.

Lexie noticed that Lillu had diverted her attention to a much younger Palui, in order to try and gain more help. She decided to leave this young one to Lillu, and give her a bit of responsibility. It would be nice to see how she would cope. Lexie couldn't help but smile. It seemed that this would turn into a rather fun adventure, and a test of her skills as a wild fire Palui.

Everything just happened so fast. Lillu falling into the water, the Fire Palui saving her, and another Fire Palui showing up. They were all going to have a meal, but unfortunate events interfered. Sunburst did feel sorry for Helios, though, and since she didn't know any of their names, she just picked some of them up when they all introduced themselves, exchanging names. She wondered if they needed her help -- the help of a wild Palui, but it looked like Lexie had everything under control. Then she turned her gaze to the abandoned fish she had caught, lying on the ground, before she remembered the little kid.

Where had he gone off to?

She glanced over to the group and gave a shrug of her shoulders, turning away to pick up the fish within her jaw's grasp. Maybe she could share it with little Narcassis.

Seda padded into view, following the scent of other Palui nearby and grew ever more curious at why the scent was so strong until she realized how many were there. She sat there politely, watching to make sure they were friendly before continuing on to meet them. She was quite boisterous and friendly herself on occasion, but she knew this far from home, she should listen to caution before leaping ahead of herself.

Lexie noticed, from the corner of her eye, that there was some new movement. She turned her head to see a new face, an earth Palui! It had beautiful coloured ‘leaves’, going from a mid blue to a deep blue, a lovely looking gradient. The Palui’s coat was white adorned with brown splodges, making the Palui a rather interesting sight going from deep blues to whites and browns.

Lexie noticed that the Palui seemed inquisitive to introduce it’s self, and join in with what was going on, so, Lexie sent a grin in the earth Palui’s direction.
”Hello there! You seem interested in what we’re doing” She laughed, as she guessed that they would all be at least a little bit of a sight to see.

But, even as she grinned at the new Palui, Lexie couldn’t help but let her eyes wonder back to it’s ‘leaves’. They seemed to entrance her. It was strange, as with many earth Palui’s Lexie had come across in her time, she always seemed to love their ‘leaves’ and the colours that they were. She had even wondered many times what she would look like as an earth Palui. But no, Lexie was happy being a fire Palui

Helios couldn't even REMEMBER the last time he'd seen another fire palui... Sure, he had short term memory loss, but he had gotten rid of it...right?

He hadn't mean to be so rude, when he was as uncooperative as he was before, but they did NOT know how degrading it was to be nudge all the way to saftey.

Just as he was about to try to spring up magically like the guys in grandfather's stories, he caught scent of another palui... Seda.

It was undoubtedly an earth palui... Opening his eyes, Helios watched Lexie greet the new palui.

. . .Urgh. More girls. What would his father think of him? Being nudged around by a group of girls. . . He didn't mind it, really, but it wasn't very...flattering.

But she WAS beatiful...and would you look at the colors of her pelt! Such an entrancing color of blue and green graced her leaves and eyes.

"Hi..." He muttered, most likely to softly for her to hear.

Lexie could sense the discomfort in Helios’ voice. Was he still annoyed about having a group of girls worry about him? Maybe he had some kind of girl problem, or it was just that it bruised the ‘Almighty Sun God’s’ ego. Either way, she could tell that Helios’ probably wouldn’t put up with it for much longer, so, she stopped trying to nudge him away from the river, and took a step back from him.

”Ok. I’m sorry, I don’t want to sound rude, but, do you want our help or not?” Lexie asked him, ”Because, I really can’t do anything to help you, if your not going to cooperate”. She sighed deeply, and closed her eyes, taking a few moments to think. It would be nice to be able to help him, but, it was only going to happen if he let them.
”Look, Helios, there’s nothing degrading about letting girls help you out. Even if you are ‘the Almighty Sun God’, or whatever. We’re simply concerned, and out of the kindness of our hearts, we want to help you out” She explained, smiling at him.

She started hoping that a male would magically turn up and help ease off Helios’ awkwardness.

Seda smiled at Lexie, "Yes it does seem to be a peculiar gathering?" Her smile was bright, despite being a little wary of the huge crowd. "My name is Seda." She giggled softly, her leafy tail making quick rustling sounds.

"I unerstand, and at the same time apreciate that you took the time to try and help me, so I thank you. I have nothing against you, for being girls. After all, you ARE trying to help me. " Helios said, genuinely. "Thanks."

. . .
But what he really wanted to know, was WHY they were helping a stranger, and... How did Lexie read his thoughts?

He put his mind on mental lockdown, making sure not to think anything negative.

As much as he felt uncomfortable around them (don't even ask why) he was a bit admiritive.
Not like he would admit that to himself.

Lexie laughed at Seda's comment, then answered "Yes, I must say that it does seem that way, even though it wasn't intended" She said with a grin, "My name is Lexie, it's very nice to meet you".

Her ears then twitched, tuning into Helios's reply. She looked at him for a second, taking in his body language. Yup, he was still really uncomfortable with everything that was happening, but, Lexie decided to ignore it. He probably wouldn't want her prying anymore, and it was about time that they started moving towards Mt. Manu.

"Ok Helios, are you ok to walk?" Lexie asked, wondering if he had made any improvements from only a few minuets before, when it seemed he was having difficulty, "And also, Seda, would you like to accompany us to Mt. Manu?" She asked, turning her head to the earth Palui, a smile on her muzzle. She thought it best to ask, as this Palui might have a human to go back to.

"It'll be tons of fun, Seda!" He chirped, reaching his paw out to touch the leaves of her ears.

Helios glared at Lexie, not really meaning to. Something about her... He tried to read her emotions, but her eyes were weren't easy to read... Soemthing about her. "I... think so. If I may ask, how did you get such a peculiar blue hue, and green flames..."

Helios never bragged about his single blue flame, but this girl was a rare thing... He had HEAR of green fire, but never believe it.

Lexie made a swift flick of her tail, signalling to anyone who wanted to, to follow her. After all, it would best that they started walking now.
Lexie grinned at Helios’s question. She had guessed that he would be the one to ask, as he seemed, maybe, the most forward out of all the Palui she had met that day. But, she thought it best not to go into great detail about her past, seeming as she didn’t know these Palui all that well. Sure, they all seemed pretty nice, but to be honest, she didn’t really know if she could trust them. After all, creatures can act and hide their true natures. But, she had decided to travel with them, so that proved she already liked them at least a bit.

”Well Helios, I became like this the way that I assume you became like you are. I simply attuned to my surroundings, seeming as I’m from Mt. Manu” She said. It was a bit of a lie, as she wasn’t really originally from Mt. Manu, but it made her story much more simple. And anyway, her life before she came to live at the volcano was pretty boring anyway, and wasn’t worth mentioning.
”Before I attuned, I was just your average blue Palui. But, I don’t really know where my green flames come from. Maybe it’s got something to do with my green eyes?”.
Lexie could have spiced up her story so much more, but to be honest, she didn’t want to lie too much. She did like these Palui, and didn’t want to seem mean, as she was already feeling pretty bad.

But, come to think of it, Lexie had never really taken in the fact that Helios had one blue eye, and one blue flame, which was really rather interesting.
”Helios, if you don’t mind me asking, how come only one of your eyes and flames is blue? She asked, rather interested.
