Smiling as she placed down the high-quality straps, he eagerly took the hand. "Nice doin' business with you. I sure hope she likes it." He swept the leather strips off the table and into a small drawer, hidden away from others until he came up with a use worthy of them.

Imirin deftly hid his dislike of the two flittering menaces, but kept an eye on them. He relaxd a bit though, when they landed on the young woman and seemed content to stay there. "Mating mask? Not a problem, miss." He smiled and pushed aside a half-painted mask he had been working on to replenish his stock. "That'll be 100g, right there. Interestin' flight I hear, with a brown as the new weyrleader. S'pose it effects dragonriders more'n it does me or-" He tilted his head, catching her shoulderknots and badge "Harpers."

"Well, ya'know," He drawled, sweeping the marks off the table with clever hands, "The colour of the dragon doesn't mean hards about the colour of their heart, or so they say." He waved his hand in a vague gesture and grinned, "Course, it ain't only the colour of their heart, but the colour of their parts that matters. 'Brown outside, bronze in bed' is what they alway say. Makes some news though, and you can be bettin' a caravan'll be showin' up now, those cowardly bastards, jus'ta see if the rumours are true."

Seagreen eyes sparkling with mission and delight Kyira looked round the makeshift store. Spotting Imirin she smiled broadly, nudging the green fire lizard round her neck.

"Look Fellis, this is the Master Trader who organized the scavanger hunt where I found your egg." Slender head with swirling eyes turned to gaze at the trader & crooned softly. The young JourneyWoman laughed pleasantly. "Thank you so much for officiating that... it was a wonderful day for everyone. Her seagreen eyes took on the look common of those giddy on everything that was impression for a moment. Only a moment, & she was back to looking at his wares.

"I really like that bowl with the green dragons on it... kind of like my little girl here." Fellis chirped agreeably & Kyira smiled wistfully. "But today is really not the day for it. "I'm really looking for..." Her eyes caught on the Flight Mask & she blinked in disbelief. "Now, I know I've been rather caught up in my own little world between the Healer Barraks & the Kitchens, but is that a brown with the Queen?" Disbelief colored her words. She shook her head & smiled sheepishly. "Maybe it's a good thing I chose Healing over Harpering... if I can miss out on something major like that I've no right being a Harper!"

Laughing freely she stroked Fellis' head. "What I really could use is a good long knife, for cutting the plants round here. I only brought my regular knife, & while it was good for harvesting plants in the North, I'm finding that the Southern varieties resist my efforts with it. Do you happen to have anything or know where in the weyr I might be able to requisition one?"

The eyes turned on Imurin were hopeful, full of trust he would have an answer of one sort or the other for her.

At the other firelizard's sudden approach, Fellis tightened her tiny hold on Kyira's neck with her tail & let out a sharp cry somewhere between a 'squak' and a 'screech'. The little green had yet to meet any others of her kind and did not think kindly of any usurping her place with Kyira. Tiny eyes whirled red.

Kyira jumped at the sudden flash of color & noise before her, so fucused had she been on the Trader's wares. "Oh!" Then of course she was nearly strangled by her own dear Fellis' tail. Slipping a fingerbetween neck & tail she breathed easier & set about calming both fire lizards. "It's alright Fellis, I believe she means no harm. Hello there, little one? To whom do you belong?"

Kyira was not sure what to expect. She was only just starting to make some sense of the images she would get from Fellis; how could she expect to understand this FireLizard that was not hers? As it was, she had not seemed to realize the journeywomn had spoken to her. Kyira winced as the FireLizard drew uncomfortably close to a shelf of fragile masks. Only when her wingtips were safely away did Kyira feel free to breathe again. Where was this FireLizard's owner anyway?

Fellis watched the other FireLizard warily at first, then with growing interest. The whirling of her angry eyes slowed until even their hue changed, not feeling threatened anymore. She raised herself up more to peer out more adventagiously. "Chi-irrp?"

Kyira thought she saw an image of two FireLizards flying around the room. The whirling excitement of Fellis' eyes confirmed where the idea probably derived. "No way! We cannot afford to upset the trader! She shouldn't be doing that either! Her owner could get in trouble." Looking at Sisao Kyira bunched up her features in perplexion. "Who do you belong too?"

Sisao replied enthusiastically to the Chi-irrp? with a series of chirrups, trills and rolling brrrs. Then seeing that her new friend seemingly wasn't going to take to the air, she banked lazily making a few laps of the caravan, dashing over, under and around it in her acrobatics. She sent images to Fellis of the two of them teasing a great bronze dragon.

At exactly that moment, off in the distance a bronze dragon sunning himself on the fireheigts trumpeted causing Sisao to blink between momentarily but she almost instantly popped back, the image getting stronger as she tried to coax this other lizard off with her.
