Caesar's teeth firmly set in his jaw. He had hoped to make permanent crew of this.
"You'll see me again, Marius...
...On the cover of Gaia's Rich and Famous!"
With that, Caesar ripped his opposite fist from the duster picket, holding the statuette high.
"Unlike yourself, yellow-belly!"

Seems Marius was abandoning the rich and fairly unplundered lands below and Shin was now on board. He turned to Marius in disgust, the man was a not worth his title. He had violated the number one rule of pirating never ever leave before you have looted or tried to loot everything that you can. It was fine by Shin if a bunch of people were left behind, but you can't leave the treasure that would be like leaving behind your heart and soul. Luckily take off was just beginning and there was still a bit of time for Shin to get off and give the 'captain' what he deserved.
"A real pirate would stick around and risk his life and limb for the gold. You on the other hard are nothing but a dried up old fart. I mean c'mon, you start running before the even action starts and leave all the gold behind. What kind of man are you?" As he was speaking, Shin was stepping closer and closer to the edge of the craft and by the time he was finished he was at the rear.
Extending his left arm into the air, the pirate revealed his Propeware devices for there first bit of action in Frostchild. Four thin metal rectangular slabs equally spaced apart with a length of a little more than 12" extend from beneath his left sleeve and then spread outwards into a propeller like shape. The blades begin to spin, slowly at first but quickly picking up enough speed that Shin is lifted off the deck utilizing the flight capabilities that this form of his weapon offers. His flight path makes a diagonal beeline away from rear corner of the ship, steadily gaining height until he is approximately 20 feet away and 10 feet above the craft. Shin takes aim and with his right hand as if he is about to perform a long range punch to the ship which in a sense wasn't too far off. But a moment passes before...
ZWHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOMPPPPPPPPPPP
That sound would pierce the skies as a visible concussive
wave of air skyrockets towards the back thrusters of Captain Marius's vessel. This maneuver know as a shove, was mainly used to knock back foes who got too close to the sky pirate and would usually be ineffective against the thrusts of such a vessel at such a range. However, Shin's Propeware devices had been steadily charging even since danger drew near back at the mental asylum and were now full charged. This allowed him to amplify the power of the blast to its full potential to create a concussive force that would knock a man straight through a brick wall. This force was now aimed straight at the thrusts and would undoubtedly cause them to explode to be destroyed in some fashion. Somewhat like how Shocker (from Spiderman) can blow up a car with the devices he carries on his hands.
After doing his damage the sky pirate would descent down to the earth below, his left hand Propeware churning at a slower rate for a regulated fall to the earth below. It would then return to its dormant shape less while he than ten feet up and cause him to freefall the short distance to the ground. Bending his knees on impact, any force or momentum would be absorbed by this action and the mud below for a gentle landing. Turning to Caesar he said, "Did you really think I was going to leave with all those house still unchecked?"

Caesar had stopped far enough away that he had a fine view of the scene. As the Airship fell, he shoved the statuette back into his pocket.
"...Well. I see that. And I don't think Marius is going to appreciate it."
He paused and examined the scene. If the field didn't catch fire entirely before, it likely was going to do so shortly. "I'm inclined to give the good man some space to think."
Caesar started to move away from the wreckage at this point at a fair pace.
"Adios, Ace. I advise you to do the same."
And, with that, he retreated into the stalks.

Shin decided to heed Caesar's words. "You might be right. I'll go and see what else is there to plunder around here, the homes aren't moving so I can always go back and rob them later." And with that Shin departed towards the north field, a direction he had not yet explored.

Then, rising from the mud, popped a black head. Then two black arms, a black sword, and lastly a large hulking black body.
Athan pulled himself up through the wet fields and straightened up to look around the central fields, obviously not showing much concern for the mud his armor and hands were now covered in.
Everything looked pretty similar to the northern fields with the exception of the giant burning air vessel in the middle of all things.
Wait, what?
Athan did a double-take and just locked his sights on the airship before letting out a low whistle.
"Someone had some fun."

Chen followed after, though disliking all this mud around here. Standing himself up, he uses a flick of his hands to get the brown stuff off of him before he looks straight and sees the same thing Athan was seeing. A large burning mass of an airship. He had seen many of these things before, but for one to be here, newly burning meant that it had just settled here, but something happened to have caused it to go BOOM. He immediately saw the presence of the bodies of people, running over to one in the snow. Getting down onto his right knee, he brings his hand to the pulse of the fallen man, only to find none at all.
"Dead. This just happened recently, too. I suspect more of those robots had something to do with this. Well, guess our trespassers at least got their due."

From behind them, covered in mud, was Draug. He rose up a black form in the early dawn hours, the crimson colour of his cloak blackened. He was concealed in darkness save for the white of his eye and the flash of steel. With a flick of his wrist he opened up the bailsong buttlerfly knife he carried with him. The small blade useless except at the most extreme close range.

On closer inspection, the aft engine (a re-purposed jet engine) had been struck by some sort of kinetic burst, causing a fuel leak. This seems to have caused an explosion that knocked the ship out of the air from behind.
There is no sign of a projectile weapon--whatever knocked it out was energy-only.

After a little more inspection as he moved around the ship, he was finally able to gain intel on what happened.
"Looks like this was the case of someone firing this ship out of the sky," he says with a loud voice for Athan to hear. "Yep, most likely one of those robots. Not for sure, but that's the prime suspect."
He walks over, looking for footprints in the snow, only to find someone else standing behind Athan. Walking over faster, he comes to look at the man before giving a small wave.
"Looks like another mercenary from Greywater. I remember you on the ride here. Slept the entire way. Had a nice nap?"

Athan started walking towards the wreckage, blissfully unaware of the man rising out of the mud behind him with the butterfly knife. He kicked over some rubble and started sifting through the wreckage. He didn't see a whole lot of signs of life, or any sort of clues as to what happened to it.
"Whatever, it's not a big deal."
Chen's voice kind of snapped him out of it, and he looked over his shoulder.
"Hm?"
Athan just stared at the man with the knife and balled his hand into a fist. Greywater mercenary or not, the guy had a weapon.

Draug didn't talk, he didn't want to get any mud in his mouth so he just nodded. Over all he was a mess and he wasn't sure whether or not being covered in mud would be helpful. But he did nod and keep the knife low at his side.

Had a nice nap?"((It's not snowy here... yet.)) They say it is always darkness before the dawn, and since the sun would not be up for at least another half hour, it would be difficult to find anything nearby. If he was persistent enough, he would find a set of three footprints that dragged something away with them, but it vanished into the crops and from there the trail went cold. About fifty yards away were the footprints of the various looters had had come and gone before, but it would require a lot of luck to find those. If Chen somehow did, they would be going back and forth between Palace Dome, Corn Maize, and Happy Resting.

Getting a nod from Draug, he looks around some more, suddenly noticing what appeared to be what was footprints, then something big having been dragged. Crouching down to the side of it, he examines it before watching it fade off.
"The trail stops here," he says, looking out in the direction it was going. "Seems like something was taken, then lifted off the ground in a way. Most likely have aerial capabilities here."
He stands to his feet, gives another look around, then turns to face Athan. "Something was here, but no longer is. For now, I say we go check out at the palace and see what happened there. If anything, I suspect that had something to do with what happened here. Keep your eyes open."
Moving forward, he heads east toward the Palace Dome. That investigator side of him was starting to take over, that persistence to find the answers to his questions becoming his main focus.
