"Shut up," Saix commanded in reply to his son, his eyes narrowing again. It was startling how very different this Xanul was to the one they were usually used to - the one who was always so naive and friendly. Instead, this Xanul was incredibly hostile - to the point where he would harm his mother.

To Death, he growled, "Well then, stick around if it pleases you, but I can assure you that you won't have a job to do here tonight." All he had to do was keep himself between Xanul and the others, right? Saix was confident enough that he wouldn't be killed in this little fight of theirs.

Kitsumi pulled her gaze away from her friend, turning to look at her 'nephew' with an upset little whimper. Taking a few steps forward, her ears laid back pitifully. "Xanul, how could you hurt Ayako like that? How could you hurt your own mother?"

Xanul ignored the Reaper and the kitsus crowded around Ayako for now, focusing instead on the blue-haired one in front of him. Indeed, losing his emotions made Lune and Xanul seem like two different people, which is why the latter had even came up with a name for his Nobody side. He didn't say anything, but it wasn't that he was listening to Saix either.

"Why don't you ask him?" His golden gaze flickered to where Kitsumi stood, his head jerking towards Saix. "He's the one who made me this way." There was a shrug of his shoulders, punctuated with a sarcastic smile. "And frankly, I don't care. Well, not now, anyways." He didn't even bother that he, himself would be racked with guilt when his emotions returned to him.

Ayako was getting better, but still, there was a lot of work to be done. Her head was of utmost importance, but now, her broken ribs made breathing a little harder, which came out in small uncomfortable gasps. Although she was unconscious, she could feel Hemi, but was still rather restless. She could still sense something wrong with her son.

Grim paid the growl that had been directed to him no attention at all. He was Death, and those with time were always so sensative about when one's time would come. The glow within his eyes grew, narrowing into a rather piercing stare. "Think what you will." came the Reaper's dry and dull tone. His tails seemed to place the handle's end of his scythe in the ground, looking somewhat like that bit from that sword story. It was rare that the skeleton let go of his scythe, when other's were around. Other's in the current kind of situation they were in. Normally Grim would have only let go of his scythe had everything been calm, and yet here he was letting it go in a less then calm suroundings, his skeletal tails whiping the air behind him.

"Whatever helps you...cope." his maw barely moved as he spoke, ears fliping up, tossing off a few chubby maggots. "..What ever will be..will be.."

Of course her head was of upmost importance, but Hemi let his gift trickle to start working on her ribs as well. She would need oxygen to feed her brain which meant real breaths, not gasps.

This would be the most intense healing Hemi had ever done on his own. Well, mostly alone. With Ayako's own healing gift joining his. But he had grown stronger, more versed in his healing gift after working with his mother & Ayako to heal Liliana. Feeling how Nari could heal... it had been an excellent lesson.

That was the problem with healers... they needed hurts and injuries to keep their gifts up. To even learn them. A double edged blade.

There was nothing now for Hemi outside the bright glow of their healing. "Shhh, A'yo." His nickname for her. "Shhh... don't move."

Kitsumi whined at his words, but a sudden sternness seemed to spread over her. "Xanul - no, you aren't Xanul, are you?" She asked, softly, "Whoever you are, you should really stop this right now. What good will it do to hurt others?" Hestating for a moment, the Kitsusagi started towards her 'nephew'. This earned a warning growl from Saix, but she paid it no heed.

"Give us our Xanul back." Kitsumi demanded, each step bringing her a bit closer to danger. Edgeworth bristled, seeing his family member so close to the one who had hurt Ayako. "Kitsumi, get back here!" He hissed, rising onto his feet.

Saix was quicker however, seeing how very closer she was to Xanul - only a few feet away - he dashed towards her, hoping to shove her out of the way before anything happened.

However tense the atmosphere was, the injured kitsusagi relaxed at her brother's words, letting both their healing powers take over for now.

What ever will be, will be. A slight smirk crossed his features. How morbidly interesting that statement was. His golden eyes flickered to his "aunt". "And if he had emotions now, he would laugh at the current situation. He mused, his face emotionless as he faced her. "Who do I look like now?" He teased her, a slight tilt of his head.

"Your Xanul," He hissed, as she came closer, almost ready to shover her aside if she took one more step. "Will be back. Just not now." And when he did, he would be full of guilt. Opening a portal, he backed into it. "But I doubt he will, when he knows what happened." His gaze flicked towards the healers, before he disappeared completely and the darkness closed into him.
