Eirwyn Just because she appears in the series again doesn't mean she'll be back in this universe. Maybe she has an adventure in her new universe. Maybe she meets the Doctor of that universe. What would he be like? Maybe it's an adventure that spans universes & depends on each acting just right, perhaps based on knowing what the other would do, to stop some multiverse-destroying whatchamacallit. There are different ways you could handle that without Rose coming back here. She & her family have a new life & she has big responsibilities if she's really in charge of the revamped Torchwood of that universe. ooh, this is the only angle I've not looked at it from yet... that's interesting... I have a couple theories as to how she's getting back, but they're on the thread and I'm too lazy to go copy/paste right now...

Sorry about stealing tennantsbutterfly's thread about Rose's return, but we keep getting new ones about the same topic. At the same time, since certain people have been trying (rather futilely) to avoid reading spoilers about the show, and many of these threads have spoiler info in the subject (although tennantsbutterfly did not), I've decided to make this an all-purpose thread for anything spoilery related to season 4. So stuff like the new Sontarans, the return of Martha, Donna, etc. etc. etc., should all go here. Probably thinking 'mmm, doctor...' Hahha, who knows really... I'm not too sure if her coming back is really a good idea, I thought she was gone for good and it was final, and ... well the Doctor is just getting over her and such... Imagine if all of them met thoughh!! Rose: I thought I was special!!! Donna: Is this my bovverd face? Martha: ... Who knows, who knows. Could be interesting. I wonder how long she's back for...

I am SOOOOO looking forward to this and how its gonna be done... I just hope its not like when I was waiting for the Wake me up when september ends video by Green Day... stayed all night to watch that and was just like: burning_eyes OMG THIS IS LIKE THE WORST VIDEO EVER!!!!!!
I dont want another one of my favorite things turning out rubbish.. neutral

Well, this isn't a S4 spoiler, but Philip Pullman said it would be fun to write a DW episode. That would be good, but I wouldn't watch it. We know most of the writers for S4 and it's started filming anyway, but if it's one of the 2009 specials it'll be the easter one. D:
He'll have the Doctor going back to AD33 and finding out that Jesus was actually a Dalek. Or that the Lazarus Experiment stuff was used to bring Him back to life...

All I want is for Eccleston to come back in some form. I mean, yah overall Tennant is probably better at the part, but for the type of part Chris was intended to act, I think he did un-godly good

Why is everyone so damn happy? It's the job of doctor who to make us fall in love with new characters constantly, when they have to bring an old character back thgat was popular, it shows a lack of imagination and how much of a hypocrite RTD is (i.e. he said at the end of series two that rose would never come back). I actually hope that they kill her off so that this can't happen again.

He also said that he'd never bring the Master back. And he admitted that he lied. Chances are, he lied again. Never take what he says as fact. If he takes to saying that he'd never do something, take it to mean that he'd do it.
And as soon as you get that into your heads, and he realizes it, he'll start telling the truth just to throw us off again.
