You know. . . A couple nights ago, I saw your response Ragey, and I got all joyous and stuff, wrote this long post and all. . . But then a storm descended, and since I live in an old part of town we lost power. For about 5 hours.
Needless to say, the post went poof before it could be. Well. Posted.
But, I love hugs mrgreen heart so thanks. And I'm kind of used to rejecting pretensions, because I'm me and all - A happy goth who doesn't have money. It doesn't happen a lot. I have 2 best friends who are amazing though. We're a little trio. ^_^
I'll tell you about the Airman via hiatus alerts. But I gotta go. . .

Hmm...I say a true KoRn fan is: someone who will like KoRn no matter what happens to the band, if they go into rehab, do something wrong, or just some little thing that paparazzi gets their hands on. I dont see anything wrong with that. And a true KoRn fan loves hteir old work, their new work, and mostly ll of their songs. I have 3 KoRn albums (which is See You On The Other Side, Life Is Peachy, And Follow The Leader) and if you have a problem with Korn, True KoRn members will tell that son of a b***h ******** off! And i agree i didnt recognize them in the Twisted Transistor Video either xD

Head leaving the band and Take a Look in the Mirror kind of disappointed me, but yet I still listened to them after that and still like them. Someone that has the balls to stand up to their friends who don't like Korn and argue with them about why they're great is a true fan.

+[Unholy_Rage]+ A 'true' KoRn fan? Hmm... really there is no such person who can epitomise a "true" KoRn fan (well perhaps maybe Shellz). A true KoRn fan yes, does love the band and their endeavors no matter what. In addition to this, I believe a "true" fan would also have the decency to critique, and form an honest opinion of the band's music and activities and engage in reasonable arguments with other fans who may or may not hold opposing views. A true fan shouldn't be afraid to say what they honestly feel, and should expect any ramifications posed by this view, and deal with them in a civilised and rational manner. A true fan does not go about disrespecting the opinions of others, positive or negative; but is ready to defend themselves without coming off as an idiot and staying with in the bounds of reason - and be sure that they're damn good at that. It is however, logically fallacious to define the perfect "true Korn fan", or fan of anything for that matter, as all people are different and there are technically no set of rules that all must abide by in order to achieve "true fandom" of anything. sounds like me, man Shellz is ******** hardcore fan, no s**t!

Everyone is as hardcore as their hearts let them believe, there are no true hardcore fans, because anyone can love korn to the pit of their soul. But some are more lucky than others to have what they have, and some arent so lucky, just because you have more doesnt make you more hardcore than another, its all what you believe in. Others will state their opinions on your hardcoreness but that is not what matters, it is your own belief!
There are people who have left from Korn fan base because they didnt like this or that, and there are those of us who have stuck through everything and are still standing, that makes us all hardcore in the end! Pat yourself on the back, you love Korn to no ends!

First of all, you shouldn't be depressed - be happy you are apart of a greater world that none of those preps will ever have the capacity to understand. I went through the same s**t in middle school and high school, and let me tell you - I could count on my hands how many other KoRn fans there were in a school of about 3,000 and those select people became some of the best friends I've ever had in my life. So just remember, though there are few of you, there's an entire world filled with KoRn fans, and when you come to a guild like this you only open the door to that world further. smile
