Bahvanta GOD= everything, its just a name for it and I HATE IT!! when God is reffered to as "he" If god is equivilant to "everything", when referring to "God" why wouldn't you just say "everything"? It's pointless to have two words in your vocabulary that mean the same thing, if one of the words has a different meaning to most people. In my opinion, using the word "God" to define anything besides something which is one [extremely powerful] sentient being is loosening the definition too much. Also... I don't think it really matters that [the Judeo-Christian] God is referred to as "He", because, well, the holy spirit, I think, is supposed to be genderless, but saying "It" sounds like you're saying that God is an object or an animal.

well why not "its" no more human than animal...so whats the difference between "it" and "he" none other than gender specifications that shouldnt be in the definition...of everything "god" and "everything" can both be used because in my eyes GOD being a religious word...standing for everything that has been created...

Am I too late to post my view?
When people ask me if I'm atheist, I say yes, because it's the easiest way for me to answer. Technically, I am agnostic. Here's how it breaks down: I am open to either point of view. Through my own experiences so far in life, I have concluded no God. HOWEVER, if someone were to give me enough proof or persuasion that a God exists, I would believe. So, I technically don't know if there's a God or not, but for the moment I am believing that there is none. It's quite a mouthful to explain, so I just say I'm atheist. meh. xp

I think the word "everything" represents quite well enough 'everything that his been created' if you believe that everything has been created. However, using the word 'god' to represent 'everything' is pointless unless you attribute additional meaning to it (ie if you believe that 'god' is a creator). And on the issue of God being a He... ...it really doesn't matter. Quote: Am I too late to post my view? When people ask me if I'm atheist, I say yes, because it's the easiest way for me to answer. Pretty much the same for me, I suppose.

I don't believe in God. Humans are controlled by their biology and enviroment, not some magical being. I am above clinging to the idea of some all-mighty ruler that puts the world into right and wrong. We may wish the world functions that way all we want, but wishes don't make it true.

I am not an anti-creationist. I am a supporter of the idea of creationism. I am a Christian...and I believe that God created us...and loves us...and unfortunately the Devil had to screw up God's Creation's Perfection...so God sent Jesus to take away our sins, so that we might go to heaven.

I find religion absurdly funny and refuse to submit to a fixed set of beliefs. I'll accept facts if they are supported by enough evidence in my book. Simple.

I don't believe in anything. I only make assumptions based on consistincies in my memory.
Some people seem to think that you must believe in some things. But you obviously don't, since I don't, and I'm clearly no fool.
Religions are nonsense... they are macroviruses, nothing more.

You have to put a certain kind of belief into reality. You have to believe a set of very basic axioms to be true (such as "I exist" and "I can consider my perceptions to be correct to a certain extent defined by...") But I guess it all depends on your definition of "belief" and such is a philosophical debate I'm not willing to get into.
