" That may be true but I would hardly call that talking to me." He kept his pace, watching the mage in front of him carefully. He noticed the other's wings spread and smirked to himself. He had expected the mage would want to run away from the situation. He also noticed that in these forms it would probably be easier, and much longer of a chase if the mage did decide to run.
" You know good and well what I mean."

Fai twitched, but with all this fur it was unnoticable. He cast a side glare to his comrade, flicking a tail to swipe at his nose. "I hate it when Kuroriin gets bossy!" It reminded him to much of Yama country. Apparently, when no kids were around, the ninja's true colors came through. And Fai knew if such happened, he'd be forced to reveal his own as well.
"Really? What on earth do you mean?" And without further pondering, he stretched his wings, intending to take flight once more.

Kurogane only smirked at the glare he received from the mage, for it only showed that he was getting somewhere with his prying. It was true, he became less reserved around the kids because he didn't think it was fair for them to be pulled into their drama. That problem wasn't aorund though, however, when they were alone and he took full advantage of that.
" You know what the hell I mean," he snarled, his own wings stretching out as well as he prepared himself for the initial chase that always followed their conversations. " You keep hiding yourself form me, even after all we've all been through and I'm sick of it." By now his own straightforwardness was surprising him, but he kept his embarassment to himself, he needed to be like this to get through to the mage. " Get over whatever the hell is holding you back and talk to me!

Of course the other would smirk. How he knew which buttons to push, Fai would never understand. His disguises were flawless, yet Kurogane always managed to see the finest of cracks. Like a professional inspector. Keeping his gaze straight ahead, the mage ignored the other further. When desperate, he could always fall back on the silent treatment.
Now...where could those children be? Fai placed a paw to his chin, trying to analyze their situation. It would be much too difficult if they were in oppositie worlds again. That meant waiting for Mokona to arrive; no other options available. Kurogane's rants went in one ear and out the other. He didn't need to accept this 'reality'. "Hmm, perhaps we should split up? It would cover more ground to find the others faster."

Kurogane growling viciously before he could stop himself, but he did manage to stop himself from tackling the mage in anger. He counted to ten mentally, something he had learned to do when dealing with the mage, hoping his anger would surely be calmed once he reached ten.
Splitting up would be stupid, and the mage knew this, but he was just trying to get away from the situation as always, and Kurogane wasn't about to let him this time. Especially since his anger had subsided enough for him to talk 'sensibly.'
" Splitting up would be stupid. Especially since we don't know where we are, or where the kids are, or if they're even in this world yet. And stop changing the subject!"

Fai had blinked, tilting his head slightly to peek at Kurogane. He did sound like a puppy now....just more like an angry one though. His ears pinned back, before he turned forward once more. Why couldn't anything just be simple anymore? And why did the ninja have to be so persistant? The mage simply had to refuse. "Hyuu, but we'd learn things faster by splitting up. The land, the locals, and maybe feathers." Sure it was all fiddle faddle, ut it was enough to keep useless chatting. The other would eventually get bored, and stomp off ready to leave this world.
Fai allowed a smirk as the ninja's temper was easy to read. But in this from, Fai was easily prepared to soar off. Hearing the noise once more, though, urged him to walk off. That was something he was still adjusting to.

" And then probably spending just as long trying to find each other again," he shot back, anger clearly in his voice. Kurogane was getting really tired of these games, and he knew that the mage was only trying to wait it out until Kurogane's temper got the best of him, it usually always did.
He snarled, unable to stop himself yet again and he pushed himself into motion, swiftly darting in front of the mage, his legs spread wide to keep himself in place also so that Fai could no longer keep his back to him. His tails flicked angrily behind him and his wings shuddered as if they wanted to take flight and escape this anger themselves.
" Why are you so intent on ignoring me? Or rather ignoring the situation we were just in and are still in. You and I are both in this together and yet you seem to be set on making it your burden to bear alone." His blood red eyes narrowed as he heard the same noise that had been bothering Fai earlier. " And I told you not to keep that from me. If you're hungry then eat."
Normally by now Kurogane would have easily stomped off in his rage, not caring whether or not they ever saw each other again. Splitting up was looking like a great idea and if the mage kept fighting him like this, he was sure that he would finally agree.

"The meadow would do just as fine." They both knew that as obvious as the sun was out. Though negotiation seemed unlikely, hardly ever between these two. Fai's pale face spread into a frown, looking irritated as the ninja blocked his path. The other should know by now it was meaningless. "Temper temper, Kurogane." The mage sat back boredly, tucking his three tails under his black coat. This would take awhile.
"Because it is my burden to bear. I don't see you missing an eye. Hmm?" So bug off. It was no concern to him, and Fai was an adult who could care for his own life however he pleased. His blue eye turned icy as the noise was heard again, and he kindly spat back to the other male. "I had told you in that world. Just leave me; let me die." A cryptic grin lifted one side of his lips. "Then all this would be fine. My burdens would be gone and you'd be less pale." Front paws moved to cross in front of his chest, with his chin tilted away. It would always be the same. And in the end, Kurogane knew that solution had been the best. If only he'd listened.

Another snarl escaped his maw, followed by the bearing of teeth as he tried to hide what pain might have crossed his face at the mage's words.
" And I told you before that I'm not going to just let you die. You are a part of the kids life as much as they are a part of yours now. Stop being so selfish and think about others as well when you hope and plead for your own death." Or at least think of me and how it would effect me, he thought. " I may not be missing an eye but whose blood do you have to drink and who else is tied to your life right now?" He wished at this moment that he knew how to summon souhi so he could make a wound to shove it in the mage's face even more, but instantly regretted the thought and was grateful for not having the knowledge. That would have been a bit cruel, even by Kurogane's standards.
" I don't care if I'm pale or weaker from this s**t, if it keeps you alive then fine, but what i want is for you to be able to cherish what life you have and try treasure it like we do."

That face made Kurogane all the more look like a puppy. Or a wolf, whichever. Tapping his three tails, Fai waited for the ninja to finish his little speech. They way he spoke it, he made it sound as if he was doing the other a favor. Keeping him alive. His ears pinned and he scowled at the insult. "And that's exactly why we're rushing to find the kids. Can't you realize that?" How did he spin it around to being selfish, when Fai's every move was to benefit the young ones? Fur bristled when Kurogane brought up the vampire facts; another reality he'd rather ignore. "If you remember, that was all your choice? Or do you just enjoy choking that burning liquid down my throat?" Fai hated, hated, hated to be tied down to another. That was the last thing he seeked in this quest. Had been the one thing in the back of his mind whenever present with the other travelers.
Fai turned on his heel, not bothered at all to walk a different path in the woods. "Fine, then let me go cherish it."

Kurogane couldn't help it as his hackles rose and another snarl rumbled through him. Such a drama queen. He couldn't even think straight right now, not with the mage acting so,so, well mage like! Excuse him for trying to save the mage's life.
" Fine," was all he said before spreading his own wings, the blood spattered patterns seeming to be freshly painted with blood as the sunlight hit them. He gave a good flap before taking off into the air, on his own search for the kids or at least for some civilization. If he didn't put some distance between him and the mage, things would most certainly get ugly. Plenty of time for him to cool off, and be able to look the mage in the face again.
