Soviet Mudkipz BassFu Rellik San BassFu [Hollow Point] Metalcore isnt even a genre, if you ask me. The underground emo scene was there indeed, but I'm talking about the modern day version of it. Hardcore + Metal = Metalcore Bands include: Converge, Bring Me The Horizon, Killswitch Engage, Integrity, Cro-Mags(kind of), Atreyu, Early A7X, Most of Victory, Trustkill, Equal Vision Records. It'd make more sense if Hardcore wasn't confused for bands like Hatebreed and Throwdown and know for the real bands like Turning Point, Bad Brains, Minor Threat, Black Flag. Hardcore is a style of Punk, not watered down Thrash Metal. Actually ask pretty much anyone interested in heavy metal a genre I think I may just have the upper hand on... and they will tell you 'Metalcore isn't real'. Sorry to piss on your parade and all. Oh s**t, too bad it's not a style of Metal. So what you or any other "Metalhead" have to say about it doesn't matter. Sorry to piss on your parade. do you even like metalcore? Not much, mostly Converge, Killswitch Engage, Darkest Hour(mostly because City of Caterpillar got their drummer from them), All Out War, Shai Hulud, early UnderOATH. Most of what you find these days is based around men in eye liner "growling" about girls.

BassFu Rellik San BassFu [Hollow Point] Rellik San [-Nevermore-] Was the genre ever really there? That is the question, loves. These pretentious bastards WILL die soon enough. Their stink is over powering, though. It's like the bubonic plague. The genre was their, the question is, a matter of, was it the hardcore punks that started it, or was it the actual emotive hardcore bands.... that since 2002 have been called metalcore much to the confusion of old folks like me that spawned it. Metalcore isnt even a genre, if you ask me. The underground emo scene was there indeed, but I'm talking about the modern day version of it. If its not meant a genre of metal then why is it called 'metalcore' dipshit? Why isn't it just called 'core'? Explain that one to me.

If you want hard evidence, I keep offering hundreds and hundreds of magazine articles from various sources that collaborate my story. You offer what? wikipedia?

Cut your bullshit, you haven't offered any of these "hundreds and hundreds" of magazine articles since I was in your guild. Don't get "hundreds and hundreds" confused with five tops, I'm still waiting for you to send me these so called articles. So who am I to believe? You're made up British media or something that actually exists? Go watch American Hardcore if you doubt Wikipedia so much, you'll get the exact same story.

Ok fine then, I'll dig all the old issues of Kerrang, Metal Hammer and Terrorizer then and prove to you that you, once and for all are an idiot. Oh yeah, because American Hardcore isn't going to be biased. It may say the same thing, but its still wrong.

Oh yeah, because American Hardcore isn't going to be biased. It may say the same thing, but its still wrong. I said that when you went off about Killswitch Engage calling themselves "Hardcore," because that's obviously wrong. Hardly my "favorite" since I've only said it once or twice, so no hypocrisy to worry about. Kerrang? You mean the same Kerrang that voted MCR the best band in the world? Ok I'll really take to heart what they have to say lol You dig through all the magazines you want, make sure they pre-date 1978, before Hardcore was already a Punk sub-genre, or whatever they say won't mean anything. Mmmnope I'm pretty sure the people who created the genre are right, don't be mad because your little story just doesn't hold up. Christ even ask your precious Stormbeard, even he will tell you Hardcore isn't a style of Metal.

Stop pissing and moaning like little girls. I wont tell you again. Keep your personal battles out of your debates. Bassfu, keep Stormbeard out of your arguments, kthx.
Metalcore is as much a style of Metal as Nu-Metal. Just because the genre has metal influences does not make it metal. And no amount of kiddies saying "l0lz but it haz metal rite in da namez!" will change that.
