The siblings sounded perfectly suited for the tribe, if one of the first things they mentioned to her was their shared love of exploring.
"Should you wish to travel with us, of course you may. However, I hope you have no delusions that we lead an easy life here, and I request that you travel with us for some time, to be certain that you are capable of dealing with the many responsibilities that would be placed upon you, should you become full members of the clan."
While they did seem perfectly suited, Rina was hesitant to welcome them into the clan so quickly. Once a modifox joined a tribe, there was nothing to be done to leave, and so a commitment to a tribe or clan should be carefully deliberated, instead of so quickly offered, as with this pair.
Perhaps they were merely young, and eager.
Otherwise, their haste to join the clan might be a sign of rashness, something that could prove to be a problem for the clan.
"Should I permit you to join, which positions are you contemplating?" If they wished to be hunters, she supposed their hasty natures would not be quite so troublesome. A hunter needed to think quickly, in order to catch the prey. As to the other positions, though, she would be cautious if they stated anything else as their preferences.

Vitani watched the Elder, then thought for a moment before answering. "I think I should like to be a hunter or a gatherer, whichever the clan is in need of most. And as for easy..." She let out a bark-like laugh. "I would walk away right now if it was going to be easy,"
Vitali listened intently, then shrugged. "I think I'd like to be...a gatherer." He said after a moment. "Yes, that should be fun," He grinned. "Assuming that's alright with you," He added hastily after a glare from his twin.
Vitani nodded as her brother spoke. "I shall be a hunter, then," She sat, wrapping her tail around herself.

Yes, if Vitani--the one who had requested to join--wished to be a hunter, then the rashness was understandable.
"Yes, we have room for both positions in the Clan." Rina did wonder at how readily the siblings welcomed the promised challenge. Yet they would have time to realize just how difficult the tribe could be, if they did not quite comprehend it already.
And perhaps she was underestimating them. There were indeed those who welcomed challenges for the sheer thrill of them; those who understood the difficulty of what they wished to do, and did it, anyway. Perhaps this pair would fall under that category. In which case, they could be rather useful to her.
"We are currently packing, preparing to leave. As your first tasks, I want to you help with the packing. Edible plants and medicinal herbs have been sorted into two different groups, one there, and one there" she gestured to two circles made up of about five piles of plants each "and as you can see, those groups have been further divide by type, so I ask you be careful to not mix herbs with food. The bags in which the food and herbs are to be placed are over this way."
As it seemed introductions and explanations were over for the moment, Rina picked up one of the bags herself, and slowly and carefully started moving some of the food into the bag she had stolen from the humans.

AidaAida watched a varied group of foxes working from a safe distance, wondering at their activity. If she knew anything from being a nomad, this...tribe, she supposed, was on the move, preparing for a journey, and a long one at that. They bore all the the signs of foxes preparing for travel...and yet she had never met others like herself.
She felt odd sitting here, an island of silence in the various noise of tribe members working together. Still, she could not bring herself to go down to greet them, as she normally did strangers. Since birth, Aida had felt the inclination to roam, to be free of all landowning bonds, but, despite all that trekking, she had never found a group who shared her interest. All of those hopes now seemed to hone in on this little group, but how could she risk approaching them to find merely a tribe moving to seasonal grounds? Oddly, she'd rather not know at the moment than have her hopes dashed.
And so she sat, as hidden as the purple of her fur would let her be, watching, and waiting to see if any would notice her.

Vitali nodded at the Elder, then dashed off into the forest. He returned a few minutes later, her mouth delicatly filled with herbs. He set them in the Edible pile and put them in the correct catagories. "I saw these when we came down," He explained, reviewing what he had done in his mind. Wait a second...He replayed what he had seen in his mind, and suddenly remembered seeing a flash of white behind the trees... "Would you excuse me for a moment? I think I might have seen something up there," He glanced at Vitali, who had been organizing herbs, but listening. "You should probably come too," He said, almost grudgingly.
Vitani nodded, glancing to the Elder. "With your permission?" She said, her tail flicking with excitement. Already, a discovery? This was excellent... She normally wouldn't've asked permission, but she wasn't sure as to the rules of the Clan, and she wanted to make a good impression.

Rina was startled to see Vitali suddenly dash off, but nodded in understanding when he came back carrying more food. That could always be useful for the clan, as they did not yet know what terrain they would encounter. And with winter coming on as well, food would become even more scare, making these stockpiles of food that much more necessary.
"Of course. Although if you believe it to be something that might require my attention, report back to me." She would let the common sense of the siblings dictate whether what they had seen should be reported to her or not.
Rina instead continued to pack the bags, trying to not let curiosity overcome her too much. As wanderers, they would all need a certain amount of independence, and she ought not infringe upon that.

Vitani bowed slightly to her new Elder and followed her brother, who was already half way up the hill. "What did you see?" She asked, tilting her head to one side. He merely shook his head.
Vitali silently shook his head as they came near the spot where he thought he had seen whatever he had seen. Almost silently, he pushed through the brush and...ran straight into...another fox? "Oh!" He said, letting out a surprised gasp. His sister jumped in next to him, hackles raised, then rolled her eyes. "Hello, miss," Vitali said, backing up. "We didn't mean to disturb you. We just didn't know what you were," He added with a laugh. "I am Vitali, and this is my sister, Vitani,"
Vitani could've killed him. Didn't he KNOW better than to just give away information about himself to strangers? She was about to retort to her brother when she caught sight of the girl's face. "Would you like to come back down with us?" She asked, smiling. She knew well the look of longingness and sadness that covered the girl's face.

Aida suppressed a grin as a pair of clear siblings ran into her. They were clearly newer to the world than herself, but still old enough to be considered valued members of a tribe.
"It is quite alright Vitali," she chuckled. "It is not the first time that's happened." Her gaze shifted to his sister, who she nodded to in consent. "Your Elder should know I'm here." She grinned at the pair before standing up, shaking small bits of dirt out of her pelt and rolling the kinks out of her shoulders. "I'm ready when you two are."
Still, the question of this tribe's purpose plagued her. They were clearly not a malevolent group, if these two indicated anything, but how would they take to one who had been merely watching their movements for some time? And could they....could they be a nomadic group?
Aida had no choice but to hope so.

Shori came back, dragging a goat at the side of him that he had caught. It was only a small one, but the easiest to catch around this unfamiliar terrain. He stopped as he met Katie and dropped the goat down besides her. "Lets see if we can divide this little guy into small enough chunks to fit in one of our bags."
Katie had already finished wrapping up small resources into one bag to free up space in another. She left it on the ground as she took a goat leg between her teeth, and rested her paw on it's chest, before pulling with her strong jaw and neck muscles to separate the goat up. She watched as Shori did the same. Soon the goat was in more manageable pieces and she continued on with packing them into a bag. It didnt take her long, and then she had Shori help to tie the bags as best he could with his teeth.
"Is there anything else to pack?" She shouted to Rina as the wind kept most of her voice back.

Vitani rolled her eyes at her brother, then smiled at the female. "Right this way. I'm sure Rina will want to meet you. She's the Elder. But, you must forgive us if everyone's a bit busy, we're just finishing packing," With that, Vitani nodded and left the crowded space for the open-ness of the 'path' and started down to the rest of the Tribe.
Vitali blushed (though it was invisible under his dark fur), and followed after his sister, but he stepped aside for the female, saying, "Ladies first. Oh, and I don't think I got your name," He said, almost as an after-thought.

"Oh, I can wait," Aida assured the younger female. "I have already intruded after all, the least I can do is be patient." She grinned slightly to herself as Vitali stepped aside, moving so that she was following Vitani.
"I apologize. I suppose it's been awhile since I encountered anyone, my manners are getting rusty. I am called Aida." She turned her head to nod at him respectfully at the introduction. So far, she knew three names: Rina, Vitani and Vitali. Making mental note of all of them, she pulled herself together so that she would be presentable to the Elder. Although she wasn't always formal, she always made sure to at least keep up the front in front of strangers; at times, the respect to authority and formality kept her alive.

Vitali rolled over the name in his mind....Aida....Very pretty. "I'm sure she won't mind talking to you," He told her, grinning. He heard Vitani snort to herself ahead of them, but he decided not to say anything as the came up next to Rina.

"What is in the piles is all that we have to pack." Rina watched the mates pull the meat off of the goat. That would last for a little while, but still it would go bad before anything else. She knew that the humans had things that could keep meat fresh, but she did not know what, or if those things would be possible to carry with them on their wanderings.
Surely there had to be some way, though, to keep the meat fresh for longer than a few days...
Rina mulled that thought, when Vitali's presence next to her caught her attention.
"Yes?" she queried of him. She could see that he and his sister had found a female modifox in the trees, but she wished to know what he had to say about her. It would be important not only for her to know she could trust the judgment of the modifoxes who traveled with her, but for them to realize that they would have more autonomy in this tribe than in others. She hoped that they would learn to use that freedom responsibly.

((Would you like a cough drop? XD))
Vitali cleared his throat. " Rina, this is Aida. Aida, this is Rina, the Elder of the Gypsy Tribe." Vitani stared at the ground, racking his brain for anything else to say, and, coming up dry, he backed up a few feet to let the Elder speak.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?!" Vitani whisper-yelled at her brother once they were out of earshot. "You cannot just lead perfect strangers to the Tribe! She could kill us all!" Even thought she was putting on a furious front, she secretly agreed with her brother, this was the right thing to do. As Vitali opened his mouth to retort, she shook her head. "No use. The deed's been done. Now all we can do is wait," With that, she padded a few feet away from him and lay down, crossing one paw over the other and resting her head down. She heard Vitali sigh and do the same.
