Ghost Meetings

On Josh's advice Lucia goes to the Delaran house to meet Eiry and see Rivener there are many firsts here: first visit to a raevan's house, first rejection of help, first kiss, etc. Maybe for the two ghosty raevans it's a first for Ghost Meetings.

A Meeting in the Graveyard

Weather: Overcast and seemingly about to rain

Helping a solitary ghost leads to a strange meeting and confrontation. It is truly A Meeting in the Graveyard.

Lucia’s nose wrinkled as an acrid scent drifted up to her room. While this was not the first time that one of Yuurei’s experiments smelt awful, the cat didn’t appreciate that it happened at all. Because her guardian was often in the basement, working on various magical spells, strange smells, sights and sounds were not unfamiliar in the house. However, the last time that this kind of smell drifted up from the hidden level of the house, the smell permeated everything. The house, Yuurei, Lucia and even Sammy had to be washed and aired out, and it still took a week for everything to smell right.

And again it was happening. “Sorry!!” a muffled voice called up from just the floor below. Either Yuurei gave up or the stench was too much for her in the basement. The kitten’s ears were flat back. Why did she have to stink every time Yuurei screwed up? That woman had to get another hobby. She had to get out of the house. Lucia grabbed her laptop, went out the door and “sat” on the balcony, resting the white mac on her ribbon.

She needed to get the blonde out of the house and make it seem like it wasn’t just to get away from her. www.google.com She had never really tried to research much, but how hard could it be. “Get blonde out of house.” What are dumb blonde jokes? “Q: Why did the blonde put clothes on the valentines she was sending? A: Because they needed to be ad-dressed!” Lucia laughed to herself, imagining Yuurei doing something stupid, though maybe that was stretching it.

What was this Valentine’s Day though? Entering the term in google she smiled slightly. Want to get out of the house this Friday? // Valentine’s Day is Friday this year. I am a woman. Interested in a man. I am --- how old was Yuurei? I live in -- well technically it’s Gambino, but it’s not on the isle. How important is age… well Yuurei is pretty shallow so I’ll say very important. She’s single, never married I guess. No children. Education...I think she went to college. . . She mentioned how Nana Lucia helped her get her degree once. . . Isn’t that a bachelors? Is his education important? Umm… somewhat I guess.

Income… extremely important. Height.. Probably not important. She’s taller than me, but is only 5’4. Umm any ethnicity I guess. Gambinon, Bartonian, Duramite, Aekean. Any should be good...I am very stylish. Very attractive. Somewhat athletic. Not at all overweight. Not at all Plain. Very healthy. Very sexy. --- According to the blonde at least. This is hard -- trying to describe her as she would describe herself. Appearance...very important.

Lets see...This form is long!!! She doesn’t plan, she doesnt help others. She is always able to deal with stuff. She doesnt love to help others. She seeks adventure. She doesnt leave a mess --- she just makes everything stink!!! Lucia popped her head in her room, wrinkled her nose, and went back to the screen.

She occasionally makes the conversation better. She occasionally gets stressed out. She never makes others feel good. She is okay with analyzing problems. Stands up for herself. Doesn’t waste time. And gets angry easily. She isn’t warm, is clever, is dominant, is ambitious, is cold, stable, and spiritual. YOU HAVE A MATCH!

Now the only question is how to get her there.

”Sorry about the smell, Lu. Same thing happened again as last time...I just can’t seem to get the combination right.” Yuurei stepped out on the balcony and sat next to Lucia as the kitten closed her laptop and put it down next to her.

Some friend of yours called -- Ross I think. He didn’t say much, but that you should meet him Friday at Per Se. I told him you’d be there -- hope that’s okay.
”Ross? Umm -- oh I dated a Ross in high school! Maybe he wanted to get together. Did he leave a number?

”No -- he just said to meet him. Per Se at 7 this Friday. And dress nicely. He’ll be wearing a black suit and a white tie. Incase he changed a lot and you don’t recognize him anymore -- ya know?

Friday Night 7:25 pm

Lucia lounged in the living room, finally having the house to herself. She was just breathing a sigh of relief as BANG!

”Stupid a*****e!” Yuurei stomped in. Her shiny black heels clicked on the tile as she walked through the kitchen.

Lucia jumped at the door slammed and the sharp clicking indicated Yuurei was stomping in heels. ONLY 25 minutes!!! She was supposed to be able to be on a date the whole night! Stupid valentineconnection.com! ”What happened?”

”He was completely different. He was an a*****e and was only looking for sex. Stupid jerk. I threw my wine in his face when he started feeling up my leg. Ugh!” Yuurei was disappointed in Ross’s development. He had money and looked great -- though much different than she remembered him, but he was a shithead. So much for rekindling high school love she had daydreamed. He almost seemed like a different person -- didn't really recognize her and she didn't really recognize him.

Lucia sighed. Yuurei was making more noise now than ever. . . That was the last time she would try to play Cupid!

So I was watching television for once (I know, I know, it’s not the same as reading) and I saw this awesome show -- Project Runway. Some of the clothes looked...yuck to say the least, but some of them were majorly hot. I kinda think I could do that. I bet I could make clothes or mod clothes to fit on raevans. . . Maybe I should find a book about it.

Lucia opened the purple paper and a smile spread across her face. These things were coooool! She didn't know why Ebony had gotten her a gift, but she would make sure to show her appreciation the next time she saw her!

Wow. So I met a lot of raevans, made a lot of friends, broke up a fight, and got my heart broken. Zul and LuLu and even Sevilin seem nice. But what...why...Riv.

I need to figure out what to do with Rivener. I need to read more books and see what those girls do when the guy they like breaks their hearts. How do they get him back? How do I get Rivener back?

I really liked seeing the fish and penguins with Zul. I wanted to bring home the penguin -- he was so cute! But I didn't. Instead I had a really good time with him. He's one of my favorite raevans.
