Phoenix chuckled nervously at Edgeworth's comment, the side of his head in utter disarray now as he continued to scratch at it. Some of the spikes were now stuck straight out sideways, and were in bad need of combing back.

"How Kitsumi feels about what?" If he didn't have a layer of fur over his face, the fact that he was blushing would be obvious now. "The er... woods thing? I guess you can ask her if you want, but... I.... um." Another nervous laugh. "I don't know."

He sighed at Kalliope's words, slowly shaking his head. "You make a very good point..." He frowned. "It motivates me to help others, it's always been what I've done. Whether it be in court, or well... out of it. But... a cliff?!" He seemed very worried at the idea. "Who's going to go jumping off a cliff anyway?"

"Before we do anything with the building, Kitsumi, How'd you build your house?" Phoenix wondered, turning his attention to her. "Where'd you get the stuff from?"

Edgeworth rose his brows at Phoenix as he stratched at his head. Clearing his throat awkwardly, he nodded towards the other Kitsusagi's hair. "Wright. Your hair is a mess." The corner of his mouth twitched noticeably as he tried to suppress one of his smirks. "Perhaps you'd like to brush it -back-."

"Well, I didn't say I wanted to know," He sighed, "But considering most previously-human Kitsusagi seem to share the same views..." He trailed off with a small shrug.

Giggling, the kit gave a little shake of her own head. "It's good you want to help others - that's always a good start. As for who would jump off a cliff..." She paused, to eye Kitsumi, before turning back to look at Phoenix, "Well, she might want to go bungee jumping one day, and jump off...without the bungee cord." Considering it was Kitsumi Kalliope was talking about, it certainly seemed possible. Or very likely, for that matter.

"How'd we built the house?" She repeated, with a blink. "We just...built it! Like humans do, I suppose?" Then, she frowned, looking thoughtful. "I think Saix-y found a fallen tree, so he chopped that up and that's what we mainly used for the support of the house." Kitsumi scratched her own head, frowning.

"I think." If she recalled correctly, Edgeworth and Saix wouldn't let her help them build. They claimed it was 'for her own safety, as well as theirs'.

"Huh?" Phoenix sounded confused at first, acting like he didn't seem to know what Edgeworth was saying at all. Then after a moment, he pawed at his hair, blue eyes widening slightly as he realized. "Oh..." He was quick to take a comb out of his pocket and groom his hair again. "Sorry about that."

He chuckled softly as Kalliope spoke about Kitsumi and he promptly shook his head. "Does Kitsumi even know what bungee jumping is? I really hope not... because I'm inclined to agree with you..." He pinned his ears back. "I wouldn't put it past her to bungee jump without the rope. Maybe we should go back to the place where I arrived and find out how I got the wings. Then maybe order a pair for Kitsumi - she certainly needs them more than I do."

He shook his head again, grinning. "You got yourself a deal though, you can teach me how to fly. When can we start?" Phoenix smiled sheepishly, but there was a look of insecurity behind his eyes and it made his expression appear somewhat fearful. "As long as we don't have to jump off cliffs right away..."

He seemed hopeful as Kitsumi described how her house had been built. "Maybe er... we can ask the Saix guy for help, then." He shook his head, quickly adding to the statement. "I'll find a way to pay him of course, for the trouble. It would be nice to have some expertise in the project. Even if he is really angry all the time."

He gave Kitsumi a sudden amused grin. "And when the house is done, you'll have to come visit, huh? Then you can do fun things like sleepovers, pizza nights, movie nights - it'll be fun. How about it?"

He also thought of drinking nights, but failed to mention that particular one to Kitsumi. It would have been irresponsible and downright wrong to suggest getting a young minor-lookng female drunk.

Emitting a short laugh at Phoenix's confusion, the male gave a little shake of his head. "I don't see why you're sorry. It didn't exactly insult me in any way. I just figured you'd want to keep up a good appearance, is all." Edgeworth had always been fussy to like neat and tidy as a human, afterall.

A little grimace found its way to Kalliope's maw. "Well, I'm not quite sure if she knows what bungee jumping is..." She trailed off, and then paused, before sighing, "But I know that she knows why skydiving is, so I assume she understand the concept of bungee jumping. She'd probably think doing it without a rope would be more 'fun'." As the conversation steered more towards wings, the kit flapped hers a little absentmindedly. "Humans don't have wings, right?" She murmured, thoughtfully, before making a face, "Giving Kitsumi wings would just boost her confidence that she can do more dangerous things."

Seeing the insecurity, Kalliope grinned reassuringly. "We'll start slow," She promised, "As for when we start...whenever, really! A kit like me doesn't have much to do."

Always eager, Kitsumi nodded furiously as Phoenix spoke. "Yeah! We can get Saix-y to help, no problem!" Or at least, it wouldn't be a problem for Kitsumi, guranteed. "Buuuut I don't think he'll mind if he gets paid." She added, thoughtfully, before her face fell a little. "And I'm still a little nervous talking to him after...'that'." The others around them sighed. 'That' was what Kitsumi referred to as accidentally getting her friend and Saix drunk, which eventually led to her friend's pregnancy.

Blinking blankly for a moment, the Kitsusagi's face lit up again, and she nodded. "Yupyup! Sounds like a lot of fun, Nick!" She chirped in excitement, eyes sparkling rather dramatically.

Phoenix gave Edgeworth a sheepish yet friendly grin, lowering his head for a moment in embarrasment. He was right – Phoenix did like to keep himself well-groomed and good looking. Well, outside of his house anyway. When he was home alone in his apartment back when he was a human, that was another story altogether...

He chuckled at Kalliope, amused by her question. "No, I'm afraid humans don't have wings at all." He grinned. "Unless you count angels, which aren't really humans at all. Nor are they really... well. Some people like to believe in them. I'm not sure if I do or not, though.” He sat on his hinds, thinking for a few moments. “I dunno though, maybe if Kitsumi had wings, she could try more dangerous things, and actually be able to save herself from falling from dangerous heights. Though, my own wings haven't helped me much there...”

“As soon as my wing doesn't feel sore any more we can start then if you like,” He continued. A quick wiggle of his wing confirmed that it was still sore, although not nearly as much as before. “I don't have much to do these days either – Kitsusagi don't really have written laws, or jail, or the death sentence. Nobody really needs to hire a defense lawyer here, I don't think.” He turned his attention to Edgeworth again. “Looks like we're both out of a job, huh?” He chuckled. “Flying lessons would be good though. It will keep us occupied.”

“Oh, I'd like to pay the Saix guy for his help. No good deed should go unpaid.” He paused for a moment, muttering. "Although.. plenty of people didn't pay me for my legal services when got them off the death sentence..." He shook his head. "But no, I would pay him for his troubles. "Kitsusagi don't have money, but I could pay him in sake or something.”

He grinned, despite the fact that the girl was unhappy. Phoenix was completely unaware of the incident involving Kitsumi, Saix, and alcohol however, and it was probably the worst suggestion he could have given.

“I'll go looking for supplies soon, and then we can get started.”

Kalliope blinked in surprise as Phoenix spoke. "So...these angels have wings, then? But...they're...not exactly humans?" She furrowed her brow in thought. "Well, I've been told the type of Kitsusagi like me are called Angelics, which is related to your human angels, I suppose, but we certainly exsist, so maybe these angels of your world do too?" By this point, it was obvious the kit was just confusing herself. Then, grinning, she said, "If you've failed to make your wings save you, I don't think Kitsumi would do any better." She sighed.

"Sounds fine with me." Kalliope nodded, eyeing his wings. "No reason to rush. It's best if you let your wing get all healed up first anyways." Then, she giggled. "Well, who knows. Maybe with the two of you around, the Kitsusagi will come up with various laws, and need lawyers." At this, and at what Phoenix is, Edgeworth snorted. "I don't think that'll happen anytime soon though so yes, we are jobless for quite a while, I suppose."

Kitsumi shook her head. "No, really, I'm sure Saix doesn't have to be pa - " She cut herself off once sake was mentioned. Whimpering, she lowered her head back onto her paws, a shiver running through her body. "I don't think that's a good idea. Saix might snap if someone offers him any sort of alcohol ever again."

Never, ever did she want to make that serious of a mistake ever again. She had seriously been completely terrified that Saix, or even Ayako, would kill her or hold an eternal grudge against her for what she accidentally did.

"We'll help search." Guo Huo offered, finally speaking up again.

"Hmm, well... er." Phoenix began, not really sure how to explain it properly. "Angels do have wings and they're like humans. But they're not actually humans. They're... well... angels." He gave Kalliope a cheesy grin, seeming to be confused himself now. "Doesn't make sense does it? I don't know how to explain it."

"You see, well... what I believe might be different to somebody else. But ever since I was little, my mother always told me that angels are in heaven," He continued, "They guard it, or watch over people, or something like that. You have the wings and the halo like them, and you're certainly sweet-natured like them, but well... you're not dead, and you're not in heaven are you? And thank goodness for that! You're pretty young, you don't want to be dead already!"

Phoenix shook his left wing, slowly stretching it out. He extended it all the way out, before slowly folding it up, resting it on his back again. It was still sore, but the ice had done it wonders.

"Thanks for the ice," He said, picking the bag up to hand back to the small kitsusagi. "We'll try flying real soon, I promise. Maybe I need to get a blindfold first, though."

He pinned his ears back, seeming unhappy as Kitsumi told him that paying Saix in sake wasn't a good idea. "Oh... well, uh, I'm out of ideas how to thank him then..."

He seemed disapointed for a few moments, then shrugged it off. "Hey, um... do you guys want to see the site I chose for building?" He said finally, turning his attention away from the group and towards the path that led away from the house. "It's not too far from here actually," He wagged his tails slightly. "It would be nice to stay close by, you guys are all really nice. I don't want to move too far away, but I want to be out of your hair too."
PostPosted: Sun Aug 26, 2007 1:27 pm

Ears pricked intently as Phoenix spoke, Kalliope nodded slowly. "So these angels -look- like humans, but with wings, but they aren't really humans either?" As confusing as it was, she took it all in with interest. The human world really did sound fascinating!

"Ah, I think I've heard that as well. Angels in heaven, I mean." She added, nodding her head. Then, grinning, she shook her head. "I suppose it's a little different for the Kitsusagi then? I'm certainly not dead, no." A pause, "At least I don't -think- so." For all she knew, she was the spirit of some Kitsusagi that died a while ago. Though that really seemed unlikely, since she didn't seem to meet the definitions of 'spirit' or 'ghost'.

Taking back the bag, the small kit wagged her tail. "You're welcome. Hope it helped!" Then, she suppressed a giggle. "Mr. Wright, if you wear a blindfold, it may hide how high you are from you, but if you try to take off, you also won't be able to see where you're going, and though I'll be flying alongside you, I don't know how well I'd be able to guide you if you try flying off in the opposite direction."

Grumbling, Kitsumi sighed. "He doesn't need to be paid - really. And not in anything that contains alchohol, because I think becoming an accidental father is something he'd rather not go through again."

Rising from where he was, Edgeworth nodded his head. "It'd be nice to see where you picked, and how close you are to our home." He commented, before giving a little stretch. The other shuffled behind him with eager nods. Kalliope piped up, "I don't actually live here with Kitsumi and the others - I'm usually with my family - but I do visit a lot so it'll be nice to see you whenever I'm around."

Padding towards Phoenix, Edgeworth stopped beside him. "Well then, Wright, lead the way?"

"I guess Kitsusagi are different, yes. I wonder if you guys believe in heaven here. That wouldn't surprise me, actually." A gentle chuckle escaped him as he listened to Kalliope ponder whether or not she was dead. "I'm not much of a detective myself but there's one really, really good way to tell if you're not dead..."

The Defense Attorney Kitsusagi moved over to Kalliope and reached out to very gently pet her on the head. "It seems to me that you're quite tangible." He grinned in amusement. "You're also warm, and you're breathing. This is more than enough evidence for me to conclude that you're not dead."

"You don't need to keep calling me Mr. Wright," He stepped back again, seeming a little embarrased at the title. "Just Nick, or Phoenix is fine. Just don't call me 'Feenie'. It's, um... a long story..." He shifted uncomfortably on his paws, not seeming to want to talk about it.

He was about to change the subject, but then he pinned his ears back suddenly at Kitsumi's statement, blue eyes wide and confused. "What?" He blinked. "He's going to become a father? Bu--" He stopped himself, shaking his head. "I... I don't think i want to know..."

He tensed slightly as Edgeworth stopped beside him. "R-right.... uh. I'll lead the way." With that, Phoenix was on his feet again, and began to take one of the paths away from the house.

It only took the spiky-haired male a few minutes of walking to reach the spot that he had chosen. It was a small clearing in a copse-like area, small woody trees growing nearby. Behind the clearing, a small stream ran by the land, trickling lazily down its path, probably leading to one of the bigger lake systems in the territory. There were paw marks in the middle of the ground, as Phoenix had already gotten started with digging, and pulling up rocks earlier.

"So uh, what do you think?" He grinned finally, tails wagging. "I found it earlier - it was what I initially came back to tell you guys. At least, until Kitsumi got herself stuck in the tree."
PostPosted: Mon Aug 27, 2007 10:21 am

"Well, I think some of us do. Other just think we live as spirits after we die, or disappear altogether I suppose. But the idea of having something nice to go after death is...pleasant, I suppose?" Not that she wanted to die at all, anytime soon. She was too young to - there was so much more she needed to do in her life!

She peered up as she was pet, before grinning brightly at Phoenix's deduction. "That's good to know! It would have been a problem, if I were dead." She said, wagging her tails. Though she still couldn't help but wonder how she could be alive, and the human angels...not. Well, the human world certainly seemed fascinating.

"Oh? Are you sure?" Kalliope blinked, seating herself on the ground. She was rather used to addressing most people with titles, but if someone wasn't uncomfortable with it... "Mm, alright! I'll call you Nick. Or Phoenix. Whichever you're more comfortable with!" Then, she giggled, "Don't worry, I won't." Though to be honest, she was wondering how he had gotten such a name.

Kitsumi glanced at Phoenix with a blink, before wailing, "Yes, and it's my fault he's going to be a father!" ...Those words could have been misinterpretated in many ways.

Edgeworth rose a single brow as the blue-suited Kitsusagi seemed to tense as he walked alongside him. "Relax." He said, stressing the word and frowning. "If you do something stupid, it's not as if I could ever use it against you in court. Afterall," He glanced around, "There's no longer any 'court' around here."

The group padded after Phoenix and Edgeworth, halting to a stop once Phoenix had. Glancing around, their eyes lit up with delight. For a moment, it seemed as if they were all in a sort of awe, before finally, Edgeworth spoke.

"It's...a very nice place indeed, Wright. And rather close to us, so I suppose you'll be our new neighbor of sorts, hn?"

"I like to believe in the idea of heaven," Phoenix began as he stood at the entrance to the copse. "You're right about it being nice to think about having somewhere pleasant go after death." He shook his head. "If I don't meet with any more questionable characters, I won't be dying for a long time though. And hopefully neither should any of you guys."

He stopped dead at Kitsumi's statement and stared back at her, blinking. "W-what!?" He stuttered. "I uh, maybe you should explain it. Just as long as..." He scowled suddenly. "He... he didn't make you pregnant, did he?"

Phoenix wasn't sure if he liked the idea of that at all. In his mind, Kitsumi was a minor - she certainly acted like one. In the short time that he knew her, he already felt that he should protect her from harm, as he did with most of his friends. The thought that Saix, that scary adult Kitsusagi male with the mean disposition getting somebody innocent like Kitsumi pregnant... it didn't make him happy at all, to say the least. He strongly hoped that his guess wasn't true. He would wait for Kitsumi's answer before rambling out some baseless conjecture, though.

"Trying to relax, but it's not working..." Phoenix muttered to Edgeworth as he padded into the middle of the clearing, moving away from the small group. He breathed a sigh, trying to shake his nervousness. He racked his brains, trying to think of what reason he could possibly give to justify his feelings right now, but couldn't think of anything.

"Get it together, Phoenix..." He thought to himself as he lightly slapped himself in the forehead. He decided to distract himself by scratching at the ground with his front paws. He pulled up a couple of large rocks and some weeds, tossing them into a small pile which he had already started some time earlier.

"Yeah," He began, nodding slowly at Edgeworth. "I guess the location of this place will make us neighbours. I hope that will be a good thing." He couldn't help but grin slightly. "So yeah, I'll be relatively close. I'll be out of your hair but still close enough to be able to help you. That's.. er, one of the main reasons I chose this spot."

"There's a lot of work ahead." He stood on his hinds, glancing back at the group now. "I can do a lot of it, but..." He shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know how to bring running water, or plumbing here, but that can be worked out later." He lowered his ears, grinning sheepishly. "Thanks for your help... I really appreciate it."
PostPosted: Wed Aug 29, 2007 12:10 am

Kalliope nodded her agreement. "It's a lot nicer then the thought of just...disappearing after death." She paused, to frown, "I can't help but wonder what -really- happens after we die but...I suppose we won't know until it happens. And don't worry, Mr. Wri - er - Phoenix, no one around the Kitsusagi Mountains really seems that dangerous." At least, she didn't -think- so.

Kitsumi looked miserable, but the look was replaced with surprised horror as Phoenix spoke. "What?! Sai - me - pregnant?!" She furiously shook her head. "No, no! I'm not the one whose pregnant!" She assured Phoenix quickly, with a grimace.

"It's my, um, friend Ayako whose pregnant," She paused, before drooping again. "I invited her to stay over for a sleepover a couple of nights ago, and Saix happened to be home at the time. Everyone else was out. I wanted to be polite to my friend, so I went and made some red tea for her, and for Saix too..." The miserable look found it's way to her face again, and she shifted uncomfortably, "But apprently, somehow, I mistook some wine as tea, and..." Trailing off, she gave a shake of her head. It was obvious what had happened next. Having taken in much of the alcohol, both Ayako and Saix had been too drunk to be in their right minds, and while Kitsumi was off making herself some green tea, the two had...well...yes.

Edgeworth grimaced at the retell of the story. How he wished he had been home that night. Instead, he and Guo Hua had been out collecting various foodstuffs like berries, and they didn't return until -after- everyone had already fallen asleep. If only they had gone home earlier...

Snapping out of his thoughts, he glanced over at Phoenix, before sighing. "I don't see what you have to be upset about." He muttered, eying the other Kitsusagi from the corner of his eye. "Just take a deep breath or something."

He watched as he dug out a few rocks and weeds, his eyes focused on the ground even as he spoke. "I suppose it'll be a good thing, if you don't mind keeping an eye on Kitsumi from time to time. If you couldn't tell from today, or the story of a few nights ago, there's a reason Saix and I rarely let her out of out sight." He paused, and sighed, "And I'm sure everyone will be pleased you're living so close by."

"Don't mention it." Guo Hua answered for the group, while the others nodded. "Afterall, it'd be too much work if done alone. With all of our efforts combined, it'll be done in no time."

"I don't think anybody knows about what's going to happen to them after they die. I think it's meant to be a mystery." Phoenix turned his attention upwards, trying to glance through the tops of the trees towards the sky, as if the answer would be there somehow. He was silent, feeling awkward - he wasn't entirely sure what he believed in regards to the subject of the afterlife.

"You can say there's no dangerous folk here now, but I can't help but feel like that something bad may happen one day. I've nearly died before because of what I am, and it would be bad to assume that it's never going to happen again. It would be nice if it didn't but... it would also be wrong to think it wouldn't happen. I guess I am just an unlucky guy." A wry grin formed at the edges of his maw.

He released a long relieved sigh at Kitsumi's statement, acting like a large concern had just been lifted from his shoulders. In effect, it had - he didn't know what he would do if the young female had gotten herself pregnant. Even though she wasn't actually his responsibility, the prospect had concerned him greatly and he was very relieved to learn that it wasn't true.

"Sorry..." He lowered his head at Kitsumi's protests. "I just thought that... well... you know..." He breathed another sigh and listened carefully to her explanation. "Ah, thats..." He cut himself off quickly and shook his head - what was he supposed to say in a situation like this anyway? "It sure sounds like a mistake, alright. Though, uh... how do you mistake tea for wine? I'm much more of a beer or saké drinker myself. I don't know much about wine, but, well... there's certainly a lot of comparable difference between wine and tea."

"Oh, uh... I'm not really upset, per se. I just have a lot on my mind right now, I guess." Phoenix stated as he spoke to Edgeworth. He turned his attention towards the ground again, pondering the best way to dig up the ground around him. For some reason, he found it easier to speak to the other male when he wasn't trying to establish eye contact with him, although he did not entirely know why.

"I wouldn't mind keeping an eye on Kitsumi from time to time. From your information and her story, yeah, I can agree that she's a handful." He grinned up at the female Kitsusagi as he spoke about her. "In fact, I'd be happy to help out - it would give me something useful to do." He sat on his hinds and began to scratching at an elbow, pulling at his sleeve fabric for a moment. "And, well... it would get lonely living alone after a while."

"So, uh..." He stood up again, shaking himself off in much the same manner as a wet dog. "Should I go find some digging tools? It would be senseless to dig up this ground with your bare hands. Er, paws."
PostPosted: Thu Aug 30, 2007 9:50 am

"Mm...yep, I suppose so." Kalliope agreed, with a sigh. Still, she couldn't help but wonder what really happened. Ah well. From what she could see, all the Kitsusagi around here seemed pretty healthy. No one would be shoved into the afterlife anytime soon, she was sure, and since they didn't know what would happen after death, might as well make the most out of living now, hm?

"Alright then, thus far I or anyone else I know has met anyone dangerous? But you're right - it could happen." She suddenly frowned, a look of concern appearing on the kit's face. "You've nearly died before, Phoenix? When you were a human, or...?" She seemed both curious, as well as frightened. Afterall, it wasn't everyday you hear that someone almost died.

Kitsumi let out a sigh, before a small grin of sorts found it's way onto her muzzle. "Saix-y is a lot more like a brother-type close friend, not a boyfriend." At the word, she wrinkled her nose visibly. Then, she pinned back her ears, "I don't knoooow," She wailed, shaking her head. "They were both red, and...well...yeah..." To be perfectly honest, she had no idea how in the world she messed those two things up. She just had, and the next thing any of them knew, Saix was a daddy.

"Thinking about building your new home?" Edgeworth guessed, following Phoenix's gaze to the ground. He paws at the ground, before pulling back his paw with a frown. "When we were human, all we had to do after digging in dirt was wash our hands. As Kitsusagi, since we have fur and the dirt's obviously not going to come out easily, we'd probably have to taken a long shower to get everything out."

"That's good to hear. Saix and I will still watch her, but it's good to knowyou wouldn't mind keeping an eye on her from time to time. Besides, Saix may be busy, now that he's become a father." He would have continued, if not for Saix who suddenly appeared, padding into the area with a visible frown on his face. "I'm going to have nothing to do with those kits," He informed them, flatly. "I'll allow them to visit from time to time, but I refuse to actually live with any of them or visit them on a daily basis." He then paused, to let his gaze sweep over the area, and the group of Kitsusagi. "Building a house?" He guessed, tone rather bored.

Kitsumi had scrambled behind Phoenix the moment Saix had appeared. She poked her head long enough to nod at him, slowly, before looking up at Phoenix. "That would be a good idea?" She agreed, with a nod. Edgeworth rose, brushing off his suit. "I'll come with you, Wright."

Phoenix seemed a little bothered as Kalliope asked to know about how he nearly died before. However, he slowly nodded his head to the young Angelic's question. It was a difficult memory for him to recall, but he didn't see a reason to keep it from her. Maybe it could serve as a lesson, somehow...

"I nearly died before, yes." He began. "When I was a human, someone tried to kill me - twice. The first time, well..." He trailed off, thinking. "She put poison in my cold medicine, but I didn't have a chance to take any more so it didn't work. The second time though, she very nearly succeeded in her attempts to kill me. It's hard to explain, but, er..." He sat on his hinds again, scratching the side of his head as he thought hard. "I was on an old wooden bridge. She was the cause of the bridge collapsing, and I fell into the river below. I don't remember much after that... I woke up in hospital later on with a bad fever." He shook his head. "The bridge issue is the reason I'm afraid of heights... but I guess that's not going to happen again as long as I have these, right?" He twitched his wings a bit, indicating to them. He finally gave Kalliope a friendly grin - somehow, it made him feel a little better to have voiced his story. "Enough about bad things like that. That was then, and this is now. I'm not in that place any more."

"Come to think of it, Kitsumi..." He turned his attention to the older female, blinking. "I've never seen red tea before. I've seen green tea, but... the smell of tea and of wine is very different. At least you'll know for next time, huh?"

"Yeah..." He nodded in response to Edgeworth. "Thinking about the house, among other things." He furrowed his brow, seeming to want to add more to the statement, but only ended up chuckling at his old friend's comments on digging. "I don't like the thought of getting dirt in my fur either - that's why I want to hunt down shovels. I learned the hard way what happens when you take a shower with fur... it feels really uncomfortable when it's wet and it takes ages to dry. Fur isn't very practical, is it?"

"Ah, Kitsumi will be nothing to look after, it'll be no problem." He dismissively waved a paw. "It'll be a breez--" He cut himself off as he watched Saix venture into the area. He lowered his head, blue eyes nervously watching the blue haired Kitsusagi's every move. He knew the male wasn't dangerous per se, but Phoenix still found him... scary. He could only pin his ears back and silently listen as the male ranted about his new kits, inwardly feeling sorry for them. He was reminded about the wrath he had received from his own father when he had dropped out of art school to become a lawyer...

"Huh?" He finally said. He promptly blinked at the question, then nodded. "Oh, umm, yeah. Building a house." He stood tall as he felt Kitsumi move up behind him to seek refuge, feeling bad for the girl. He didn't want to know what Saix could be like when he was really angry. "Ah, w-want to help?"

He stretched his arms over his head, then nodded at Edgeworth. "The Kitsusagi Headquaters building had a lot of stuff in it. I'm guessing some of the building supplies needed could be found there. It's worth a look." He pulled at his sleeve cuffs, trying to get the wrinkles out of his suit. It was clear that it needed ironing again...

"But sure, let's go. There's some things I'd like to talk with you about anyway, Edgeworth." He faced the Prosectuting Attorney Kitsusagi directly now, expression turning serious. After that, he looked over his shoulder, grinning back at the girl behind him. "You coming, Kitsumi? Or are you going to stay?"
