Konosuke watched as Valin went into a tangent that was so odd, he could only laugh slightly and feel a smile pull at the corners of his mouth. A strange character, but then again, who wasn't on this planet these days.
Deciding not to get into it with the young man, the samurai turned to the glasses Red-san had placed on the counter. Silently thanking her with a nod and smile, Kono pulled one closer before taking the bottle in hand. Holding it more in his lap than anything, he twisted the top off with his teeth in a quick and easy fashion. He poured just a little of the warm liquid in each of the glasses, before placing the bottle and top back on hte counter.
He took a glass in hand, and held it out to Valin.
"It sounds like you need this more than I, friend. Relax a little, and let's talk no more of death, ne?"

"I honestly don't know if you're making sense or not. That last statement confused me actually and now everything is a blur. Nonetheless, I got the jist of it. Sorry you have to deal with our opposing philosophies." She figured that at this point, discussing the matter with him further would be the same old dance as before. It would be no fun for her and likely not for him either.
Accepting Hasamoto's offer, she scooped up her drink and held it up, gesturing for Valin to do the same. Not much for socializing, every once in a while, she could tolerate it. Best to exploit those moments for what they were.
"Let's do as the samurai says and enjoy the burn of sake down our throats. I've heard talk of your native drinks, and I doubt ours compare, but it's still good and worth the experience." Sighing, she gazed at the glass full of liquid wondering about the other things her mind tangled with at such times. It was actually good, she realized, that she suffered from such chronic headaches. The others were safer for it she realized...well were the situation hostile.

Valin took the drink from the man with a nod and said, "Yup. I do need to relax just a little bit." He drank whatever it was the man had poured for him in one gulp, letting it burn down his throat. It was pretty good - not Corellian Ale but it was good nonetheless. You could travel the entire galaxy and taste everything it had to offer, but every planet had something new.
Back home, he'd barely stay in one place for any great length of time. Now he was stuck on Earth and learning all sorts of things about it. Good food and 'videos' - not having yet reached the point of advanced holographic imaging - and books.
The Jedi was, once again, quiet. He just wanted to enjoy everyone's company.

Valin must drink some tough stuff, to down Sake so easily. It left Konosuke's mouth hanging open everso slightly. But only for a moment. It quickly became a large smile again, followed by laughter.
"You're a strange fellow, that's for sure. I like you."
He lifted his glass and sipped at the firey liquid lightly. Afterall, it wouldn't do to get drunk in front of new friends. He two katanas clicked softly against each other in their sheaths as Kono shifted his weight on the barstool.
"By the way, Valin-san....what the devil was that thing you were waving around before?"
It looked like an arm to the samurai, but unlike he had ever seen. Not of flesh and blood, but metal and mechanics.

She herself was in a sober mood and close to the point beyond talking. She took slow careful sips of the drink, ignoring the burn, the desire to gag and that weird hacking face some made when liquid hit just the right spot. It was about as good as tea to her, but she could feel the subtle effects on her mind already, the slight numbness that most ignored when they wanted to forget their troubles or feign ignorance of their tolerance level. She felt it, but it was nothing right now.
Listening to the two go on, she felt she had done enough for now and decided to listen and enjoy the fact that she could stand being around her company for more than five minutes.
With a heavy breath she took another sip, felt more numbness, and paused yet again. The glass wasn't large enough for more than a third drink. She wasn't in a good enough mood for more than another glass, so she'd have to pace herself to be much slower than that. Oh well.

Unlike Red, Valin felt no effects at all. Didn't feel like it and, with his powers, was more than able to get the intoxicating effects to just go away. Pretty standard Jedi trick.
Valin smiled at the man's comment and rolled up his left sleeve to expose the rest of the black-and-gold prosthetic limb up to the point where it met the flesh of arm just below the elbow, "I lost it in the war back home. Got fitted with this replacement - a fully capable prosthetic limb. I always work on it, improving this and that. It's as good, if not better, than the real thing." He flexed the fingers, which moved naturally as if they were real fingers attached to a real hand.
"Takes for calling me strange - I like being strange," The Jedi said with a big, goofy smile under his goatee.

Rising from within shadows cast by the bar counter. The Inhuman silhouette of the sage loomed into view in all his 6'6" glory. Falling away in shards of darkness, his normal appearance resumed.
"Greetings everyone. I hope I'm not intruding."
Finding a open area portion of counter space, the Kitsune proceeded to one handed vault to the other side. Recognizing the scent of alcohol in the air he smirked underneath his many scarfs.
"Ah...enjoying spirits. Always a good time."
Truth be told he had no idea what it felt like to even feel a buzz from alcohol as his body instantly purified itself from any foreign matter within seconds. Other than water he rarely needed to consume any other substance as the symbiotes that existed within his blood stream would readily excise anything else .
"May I join you all?"
Setting himself down on barstool crossed his arms across his chest

Tacitus fell through the ceiling.
No, really, he did.
Apparently he had been doing his bad-a** stance on the roof and tried for some cool special effects, instead becoming ethereal and falling, well, quite some distance. He wouldn't stop to chat, however, as he kept falling, right through the floor and beyond. Good thing he was ethereal or the center of the earth wouldn't be any fun. He could always utilize some form of instant transmission to alter his time-space coordinates, but when you're falling through a building, you tend to forget s**t like that.
((Had this kicking in my head all day. Kept me from killing Tommy with the jackhammer. XD))

"There is nothing wrong with strange. It makes life more fun."
Konosuke matched Valin-san's smile with one of his own, smirking more to the left side of his face.
"An interesting piece of work, that is. A new arm is something I have never really thought of before."
He turned his head ninety degrees to his left, to let his right eye look over the empty sleeve hanging at his left. Valin had lost up to his elbow, but Konosuke's was taken clear off at the shoulder. He turned back to the Jedi and smiled slightly before sipping at his Sake again.
"Then again, if I had my arm still, I wouldn't have learned how to hold a katana in my mouth."

"Very rare to see you so frequently," Red commented as Kendo made himself comfortable. Her tutor was the type to arrive and then leave for periods much longer than those marking his presence. Him still being here meant to her that when he did leave, it would me for a much longer span than now. So be it.
"If you like I can fetch you a glass." As she spoke a clean crystal cylinder slid across the counter to his left to be ignored or used, she didn't care which.
"Tell me if I may what brings you to the club so often these days? Would it have something to do with Epithany or are there more pressing matters for you to attend to?" Curious enough herself, and not needing to engage Hasamoto or Valin to listen to them, she figured it would be best to keep her mentor some company since she was never on edge with him, unlike the fool that fell through the floor just a moment before. Something in her wanted to slap him hard enough to remind him he wasn't all powerful, but she'd have enough luck touching him if he didn't will it, which defeated the purpose.

Valin chuckled, "I agree! I try to make life more interesting for everyone around here. Also fun in a fight to taunt your enemy."
The Jedi tapped his metal hand against the counter as he looked at Kono's lack of an entire left arm. At least Valin had the majority of the arm left where the artifical forearm could be placed. Building a whole limb was tricky even for the best of artifical limb designers - and Valin only knew enough about the 'art' to keep his arm in prime condition, no knowledge at all on how to build them from basic parts. However, he was sure Kono had no interest in such a thing anyway.
"About that," Valin said, very interested, "I've seen some very interesting fight styles... but with one's mouth - now that's a new, very interesting one."

"It has taken quite a few years of practice, and it's still not perfected. But, as you can see, it's kept me alive."
A slow smirk crossed Konosuke's face, though his eye was drawn to the other kitsune Red-san now spoke to, and the strange man passing through the floor for a moment. But only a moment, before his blue-grey eye was back on Valin.
"Perhaps, if you are interested, we could have a bit of sport sometime? What type of blade do you use, Valin-san?"

Raising his eyebrow at the man who had just plunged through the ceiling he shrugged returning his attention to the others. Being a mage, such a sight only momentarily grabbed his attention. Breaking the laws of physics was something near commonplace these days.
But none the less it was still worth noticing every once in awhile. Drumming his fingertips atop the counter he surveyed the different beverages lining the wall. Remarking at the myriad of choices he smirked wondering how anyone could ever really choose. So many tastes to try and only one tongue to do as such. Settling his attention on Red he smiled beneath his scarves.
"Haha...I suppose my appearances are usually more sparse."
Accepting her offer he bowed his head in appreciation.
"What brings me about these days I suppose is the same reason why many others have returned. The presence of a strong threat is apparent and I wish to observe things as they come. My wanderings have been baseless of late. Thus a little focus breaks the monotony."
Adjusting his scarves as to allow for drinking he one would be surprised to see how youthful it looked. Permanently frozen in the guise of a man in his early 20's if not for the wizened gaze that hung behind the spectacles he wore one would be fooled. Like most Kitsunes he had an unearthly attractiveness, but lacking the normal alluring aura they usually exuded.
