Only a day had passed since the ordeal in the forest had transpired and the ramifications were coming about full circle. Though she had yet to see much of anyone as of late, she still felt self conscious about what she had become.
The Beast she now termed "Rage" had come about so unexpectantly that it was frightening. Why now? This was far from the first time she had been in mortal danger. It was not uncommon to have a spell or sparring match going awry and then find ones self at deaths door. All those other times she had just needed time to recuperate. This time was different. She had arisen a Demon whose power was frightening as it was wondrous. As terrifying as the whole circumstance was, she still felt some level of pride of being able to wield such power with such ease.
What in the world was wrong with her these days? When did she become so battle hungry. Since she had accepted her past, she now found that her moral compass had shifted farther from the norm than was to her liking. It was all so new and yet so...normal for her. This was not the person she thought she was. Then again, who or what was she now?
Perched atop the rafters overlooking the arena floor, the mage sat in contemplation. The aftermath of her transformation had left her body feeling as though every muscle was on fire. This probably wasn't too far from the truth. Rage's physique was that one of one who was far superior to hers. Everyone of her cells seemed infused with an incredible level of power. She had assumed a Draconic form before, but this one was different. Denser and more physically imposing than the other this one commanded fear and recognition. The other seemed but an playful undertaking. Rage was a beastial weapon.
Shaking her head she grimaced feeling the searing pain of the wound present in her lower back. Rage's presence had done much to restore the tissue damaged by the ice spike. At the same time the flesh was tender and painfully sour just with her normal breathing. The skin itself still lay broken, but no more than if she had been struck with a blunt object. Wrapping her torso in bandages she had taken to wearing a leather vest as to keep attention from her bandages.
As if to fit her brooding mood and possibly the vest, she had fished out a leather jacket from her closet and found her favorite pair of jeans. It was strange she still felt like fashion despite the hideous creature she had become the day before. How Unks still found her attractive after seeing her transformation was beyond her. Leaning back she gazed at the concave ceiling, grunts at the pain it cause her.
"Dammit...why did that have to happen?"
