Xiao Lan covered her eyes with fear when it seemed she couldn't just talk her way out of this, cowering and shaking with fear from being surrounded. However, instead of feeling an onslaught of attacks, she heard Fianna's yelling very close by. Slowly, she peeked above a wing, watching with awe as the braixen bravely waved her torch, jabbing it at the dark types to keep them at bay as they hissed and backed away from the fire.
One of the sableye that dared to get too close got a face full of her thunder punch, and soon after Shade followed up with a barrage of arrows while Daiki got in a night slash. Xiao Lan slowly began to feel safe again as the team banned together to protect her. She was touched, really, tearing up a little out of sheer relief and gratefulness that they would protect her even though she'd messed up and caused the fight in the first place.
Then, she suddenly felt a strange weight materialize on her, something like armor? It even glowed with similar markings like Shade's, which made Xiao Lan think maybe the chengshen had something to do with it. Not that she minded. She felt super cool with her new armor, kind of like some sort of super hero! And superheroes were cool and fought all the bad guys, right? So that was exactly what Xiao Lan was going to do, just like last time when she and Fianna were punching the ghosts, except went to bite it instead since she was better at that than punching.
"Look out you bad bad ghosts! It's super Xiao Lan now!" She laughed in a sort of cheesy way that was trying too hard to sound cool, but she still swooped in and bit the arm sableye they'd been fighting for some decent damage.

While Rafflesia and Noah took on one of the sableye, it seemed like Allure was dealing with another that was clamoring for the gems in her horns. Raf hadn't even considered that the sableye might go after them, but then again she wasn't some gem hungry maniac. "Shake it off nightmare queen. I believe in you." Her words of encouragement somewhat fell flat, probably because she was kind of amused by the scene, but regardless she didn't have the time to focus on Allure when she and Noah had their own battle to focus on. Besides, it looked like Luna was giving her a helping hand. Heh.
In the meantime, Noah seemed appreciative (albeit begrudgingly) of her help. Suffice to say, it was baby steps in the right direction, which Raf felt should be rewarded. "That's the spirit. You're welcome." She gave the dewott a little pat on the head, but really the whole thing came off rather patronizing in retrospect. Whoops. Ah well. Raf didn't have the energy to really be as kind and enthusiastic about these things to make sure her gestures gave off the right 'feeling'. She really did sympathize with Noah's bruised ego though.
In the meantime, they still had a slightly hurt sableye to deal with, which wasn't going down nearly as easily as the drifloon before it, so Noah came up with the brilliant idea to distract the gem obsessed pokemon with the very quartz it was trying to protect. "Nice." She nodded approvingly as Noah got in his sneak attack. Being a close range fighter, it was good that he was smart enough to think of these things. Raf on the other hand wasn't too worried given that she could fight at a distance with her vines while Noah played tank. That, or maybe it was just her relaxed nature.
Still, since they had already attracted the ire of the sableye, she sort of did want to keep a piece of the gems for herself, so she snatched one up and placed it in the budding flower on her back for safekeeping. Of course, this made her the sableye's target now. "What are you looking at, fish eyes?" She asked, smacking it across the face with her vine. "I think you have bigger concerns at the moment." She insisted with a smirk.

This was just embarrassing. Snickering could be heard from around the cavern, other sableye laughing as their companion was getting his butt handed to him by a baby cubone. Although the ghost could little more than twitch now, he couldn't just leave things as they were. So the sableye tried to stand again.
Cling vs. Guardian Sableye 2 HP 2/5
Again with the tail! This time the sableye was smacked into the ground by the flying creature's powerful strike. For being so small, Cling was a bit of a powerhouse. Still, it would be humiliating to lose to something so small. Almost as bad as his buddy being beaten up by a baby. Almost. So the sableye got back up and tried to grab at the pesky flying noodle again.
Noah and Rafflesia vs. Guardian Sableye 3 HP 1/5
"MINE!" the sableye nearly screeched as it leapt to try and catch the gem Noah chucked. But for its trouble, the ghost got a shell across the cheek and was knocked aside. The strange pokemon scrambled back to its feet to try and retaliate, but its jewel eyes nearly popped out of its head in rage when it saw what Rafflesia did. "GIVE BACK!" the sableye shouted, then let out an open-mouthed hiss in rage after being slapped across the face by the ivysaur's vine. It would show her! Ignoring the dewott, the sableye rushed towards Rafflesia, clinging to and hopping from one large rock or crystal to the next, in an attempt to take back the stolen crystal.
Gail and Ammy vs. Guardian Sableye 4 HP 1/5
Badly injured, the sableye was pretty sure now that it couldn't handle the two pups. The best it could do was try to crawl away before the duo launched another combination attack. Not that it did the sableye any good. After all, it was supposed to try and prevent intruders from passing through the cavern. Crawling away was not going to stop anyone.
Allure, Luna, and Argo vs. Guardian Sableye 5 HP 4/5
Although it had definitely knocked the hitchiker off, smashing the sableye through the crystals did little to deter the ghost. Yes, it was a shame that so many tasty shinies had been turned into tiny shards, but the pokemon was more than willing to bet the gem in the spiriake's horns was far tastier than many of the crystals in the cavern. So, in spite of what should have been a very obvious warning, the sableye climbed up one of the larger crystal formations in order to jump back onto Allure and once again try to claim her gem for itself.
Daphnes, Mogwai, Dune, and Chickpea vs. Guardian Sableye 6 HP 2/5
The sableye had certainly been knocked for a loop by the group of "knights", having been bashed away by two of them and gouged by leaves from the third. The fourth... Well, the dunsparce had done nothing so far and seemed to be a bit dazed. So rather than try his luck attempting to attack the other three, the weird ghost attempted to use its speed to bypass the bewear and target Dune. Unfortunately, the bewear was beary big, so trying to slip past was a bit of a tall order.
Radium, Piper, Ai, Vivace, and Dotty vs. Guardian Sableye 7 HP 0/5
The sableye never stood a chance. Between the might of its five opponents, the ghost fell quickly. Its body twitched on the ground for several seconds before being consumed by black embers. Dark smoke wafted upwards before drifting towards the crystal dominating the center of the chamber. Soon, all that was left of the sableye's physical form was a pile of soot. The quintet of pokemon were free to flee the chamber and head upwards to the next floor.
Fianna, Shade, Daiki, and Xiao Lan vs. Guardian Sableye 8 HP 1/5
Although it was hit with several attacks, the sableye was still able to act. And the first thing it wanted to do was stop that little bat from chewing on it! With a clawed hand it grasped at Xiao Lan, hoping to catch the baby bat in its grip to keep her from gnawing at its arm. Plus, the ghost was curious whether the shiny armor it wore tasted as good as the crystals in the cavern. "...Food?" the ghost questioned with consideration, a toothy grin slowly appearing on its face. Fair was fair, right? Xaio Lan stole a crystal and bit the sableye, so maybe the ghost should do a bit of biting of its own...
Ulani and Prim vs. Guardian Sableye 9 HP 3/5
Even with a whirlwind of sharp petals cutting into it, the sableye was determined to keep hold of its new shiny. Rather than strike back, though, the ghost crawled up the rocky wall to find an outcropping to perch on. The sableye let out a loud cackle as it looked for the perfect spot to enjoy its new snack on. And, you know, pounce down on any foolish pokemon trying to pass through the cavern.

While Allure fought and Argo waited for the perfect chance to strike, there were only two things Luna could really do. The first was try to avoid the swarm of sableye as best she could to keep them from going after Argo's flute. Easier said than done, since the group had entered an absolute nest of the ghosts. The other thing was keep storing and passing along energy that Argo and Allure could use to do some real damage. After all, Luna only had one damaging move at the moment, and honestly... Dream or no, she wasn't entirely sure that normal-type attacks would work on these ghosts. Besides, she had Argo's flute, and trying to bump into ghosts while holding a glass tube in her teeth just sounded like a bad idea.

The sableye cocked its head, huge alien eyes aimed right at Dune, sending a shiver down his spine. Ohhh no ohhh no that was really creepy. But- but Dune did want to be a hero, and him and Chickpea were able to fight that drifloon before, and now they were fighting alongside real knights! Yeah, Dune couldn'y let them do all the work! "H-here's some rocks for y-you!" Dune cried, calling upon his ancientpower attack to summon a shower of rocks, sending them around Mogwai's huge form in an arc to batter the creepy guardian.

With the stupid ghost off her face, the dragon was feeling a surge of energy rushing through her body. It was thanks to Luna who'd during Allure's sudden rampage managed to hang on just enough to issue her own bit of help, though it took a second assist to finally give Allure a chance to calm down enough to devise a plan. Her gaze quickly caught Argo, hovering above, what was he waiting for? An invitation? Well, perhaps, given Allure's size it would be hard to target the weasely little ghost with her in the way.
The nasty thing quickly recovered from Allure's attack and swiftly made it's way up to a larger crystal no doubt to try and get the jump on her once again. "I think not, you little s**t." Allure growled. It seemed her filter had been removed for the time being. Hoisting herself up onto her hind legs, she reached up and grabbed a particularly large crystal and with all her strength she managed to crack the crystal from the rest of it's body. Tossing the crystal at the Sableye she intended to miss, since as the Sableye moved to avoid the crystal, the dragon swooped her tail upward in steel coating sending the Sableye straight towards the Wingull. "Special delivery!" The dragon sneered.

Daphnes was happy to have more companions to travel through this weird place with. The two looked to be capable fighters, so Daphnes was all for it. Introductions to the side, Daphnes mentioned more weapons to which his trainer had used, and Mogwai inquired as to what Chickpea and Dune could be. That was a interesting question. Truth be told, Temperance never went into grand detail about what those said weapons were. The most he's actually seen were the duo daggers Temperance hid against the small of her back. "I'll just have to see them fight to tell." The dragon stated, figuring maybe he could just guess based on what the weapons sounded like.
As luck would have it, a foe appeared from the sudden appearance of a crystal cave to their backs. Daphnes was quick to attack as the fiend approached, and Mogwai quickly came to his aid. Chickpea then launched his own attack, sending a beautiful but deadly display of leaves at the Sableye. While each attack it, the ghost hardly seemed fazed. Nay, it seemed angery. But the coward that it was, it ignored it's attacks and went after Dune, who'd yet to use an attack of his own. Likely thought the Dunsparce an easy target. Low and behold, the blue-winged Pokemon launched several rocks from it's sides like a catapult. The Sableye was quickly buried, but not but a few seconds later did the Sableye break free from it's rocky tomb. "Ha! You picked the wrong foe!" Daphnes called. "Now off with yea!" Stepping forward, the dragon opened his maw found a free arm and chomped down hard, after a quick jerk he freed the Sableye onto to toss it right into whole in the cave wall where the moss had grown like a vine. Was that good aim or just luck? Whatever the case, the ghost was no longer an issue for them.
With a nod, the Dragon turned back to the group. "Let's hurry and make a break for the exit. It has to be somewhere beyond that giant crystal." Daphnes mentioned. Talk of weapon roles could wait after all.

Ulani felt her chest puff out a bit in pride as she managed to cause the mean old pokemon pain for being mean. That being said, she was caught off guard by the gorgeous display of an attack that her companion went in, eyes going wide as she watched the Florges spin about with a mini tornado of petals followed before she snapped her hand out and basically flung them into the guardian’s face. It. Was. Amazing!
"Wooowwww," she gasped, eyes sparkling with her paws to her cheeks in her awe. "That was so pretty flower!" She chirped excitedly. Could she do something like that?! The whole “fighting a guardian” situation going on. She wanted to do something like that! And so she tried!
The Emogla stuck her tongue just a bit out of the corner of her mouth and tried to spin about on her toes gracefully as the Florges had. She got about 2 spins before getting dizzy though, wobbling and falling onto her butt in the process. "Oof!" She yelped, looking a bit defeated. The Sableye managed to break from its daze and had the nerve to snicker at the poor squirrel, which didn’t go unnoticed. Ulani sniffled and shot it a glare, cheeks sparking as she sent a zap it’s way once more. "Don’t be mean, meanie!"

Noah stopped and gave Rafflesia a stare as she patted him on the head as though he were some child. The hell? He wasn’t sure if maybe she was trying to be encouraging with that or the opposite and it made him rethink the whole ‘working with others that you’d just met in a crazy dream world’ scenario. Of course, this wasn’t the time to question whether he was making poor decisions or not as the Sableye all but screeched at them when the Ivysaur stole one of its gem babies.
"Hey!" he snapped as the pokemon rushed off to retrieve a treasure, cheeks puffing in annoyance. He stood and watched, waiting for the moment when the Sableye eye was mid hair jumping from one rock to another before the Dewott launched himself at the creature, spinning about and slamming his tail into the creature’s face and then the pair into the ground.
"Don’ go ignorin’ meh mate!" He snapped, hopping back from the crippled form of the Sableye as it twitched. Oops… had he overdone it? Maybe just a bit. The pokemon seemed to slowly fade away like dust in the wind and he huffed, arms folded over his chest as he waltzed back over to Rafflesia. "Yeh, alrigh’ sheila?" It wasn’t like she’d been in harm's way at any point, but it was a habit. He glanced to Allure and her fight, frowning a bit at the sight. "We should get helpin’ them!” He remarked, already reaching for a shell to get ready to jump into that fray as well. Noah was now properly annoyed with these ghosty’s and still revving to punch a few.

Dice squeaked in defiance at the Sableye and it’s twitching. At this point, he was ready to start throwing a tantrum if the thing tried to stand again. What did these nightmares nut understand about the concept of “stay down”? Clearly, not much seeing as one was over there picking on Noodle as well. For the baby, it was quite upsetting, and he was going to make sure that this one at least understood it had made a terrible life decision in trying to deal with him.
”NO,” he squeakily shouted, raising his club up once more before bringing it down repeatedly on the twitching Sableye’s head ”NIGHMARE.” And with that he gave a quick few blows until the thing was clearly unconscious and not going to be moving again any time soon. If ever. He watched as the pokemon gave a little cry before melting away into the ground as though it were becoming liquid. The Cubone squeaked and smacked the fading shadow (earning another yelp) before stomping his feet and turning to locate Cling. With that pain in the butt out of the way, he needed to help his friend!

There were hundreds of Sableye seemingly coming out of nowhere before them and the group collectively agreed they needed to move fast. Dotty was quick to use her psychic powers to lift Radium up into the air and set out towards the staircase beyond the giant crystal, however a Sableye eyed the group, catching a glint from Dotty's glasses. It likely thought she wore crystals and the maniac leaped out of Dotty with the intent on snatching those spectacles, luckily though Radium caught the Sableye's daring leap and in her gusto to simply warn Dotty, the mouse ended up unleashing an attack! From then on everything seemed to be going downhill, what with Dotty's sudden distraction dropping Radium out of the air, to Radium landing with an 'oof' to her feet, feeling an odd shock run through her entire body. Just to her side, the Sableye had landed but before it could recover and seek it's revenge upon Radium, Piper, Ai and Vivace all appeared, one after the other using an attack upon the fiend. Radium had barely a chance to cover before she felt the static in the air rise. Gazing up she saw sparks collecting, it was an electric attack. Feeling her cheeks begin to spark themselves, the mouse rushed forward seemingly tackling the Sableye just as a bold of lightning shot down some seemingly nowhere and struck Radium, in turn striking the Sableye... rather, it struck the Sableye and just so happened to also transfer some energy to Radium.
Had Radium known her natural ability to attract electricity didn't work here, she'd of simply watched as the ghost was fried. It still was, but after getting a shock of the century from one of the strongest electric-based attacks, the mouse felt a quickening in her heart and without even thinking she took off towards the staircase "Okaynowwecango-" Like racer on the word go, Radium was gone. Up the steps she zipped, but not that far into the next floor Radium tripped over something on the floor. She rolled a few time before landing on her back. Quickly scrambling to her feet she turned to see what she'd tripped over. What she found was piles of round shaped object rolled up in what felt like wax paper. Sniffing one, the mouse's eyes widened. "Candy?It'scandy!Ilovethisstuff!" She chirped, scooping up as much as she could carry given her stick also took up space in her arms.

☆ ☆【With everyone more or less in agreement of their plan to just gun it right for the exit and hope to avoid the attention of at least most of them, the team immediately made a break for it as Dotty used telekinesis to pick up Radium and dashed around the giant crystal with Piper close by overhead as she kept a bird’s eye view. For some time, it looked like everything just might work out as the distance between them and the dark tunnel on the other side of the room marking the exit gradually closed by the second. However, it seemed that just when everything was going right, that’s when their plan took a turn as a Sableye’s attention was drawn towards Dotty and Radium and it attempted to pounce right on top of them. The Pichu managed to spot it in the nick of time, unintentionally unleashing an Uproar attack in the process of calling out a warning to Dotty and causing the Duosion to lose focus on her telekinesis and drop the little mouse. Thankfully, the Sableye was momentarily dazed both from the sudden attack and from being toppled off of the giant crystal, though it didn’t take long for it to recover and try to go after the pair nearby.
Determined to not let the terrible ghost hurt her friends, Piper dove in and delivered a potent shot of Dragon Pulse to knock the Sableye back and try to keep it away from Dotty and Radium as best she could. Like a domino effect, every one of their teammates jumped in to help as Ai fired off a Shadow Ball at the Sableye when she and Vivace drew closer, the Togepi on her back aiding as well as she sent a pulsing blast of water to push the ghost back even further. With the entire team attacking all at once, the gem-eater hardly had any chance to try to retaliate as it was knocked down and back again and again as they kept hammering it with strike after strike. The Noivern would’ve almost felt bad for the Sableye, at least if it weren’t for the fact that it would try to harm her friends if they left it be for even a second. Piper smiled brightly as Dotty cheered them on, saying how amazing they were as Vivace’s attack left the Sableye downed and soaked. However, it seemed the ghost wasn’t down for the count just yet as it drew itself back up, giving a rattling hiss as it launched itself towards them at a surprisingly quick pace in spite of being incredibly weakened. Piper chittered in alarm, readying another pulsing blast in hopes to stop it before it got too close to the others. Suddenly, Dotty charged for it with a burst of speed, summoning another powerful bolt of lightning that struck the Sableye dead on, knocking it to the ground and even electrifying some of the crystals around it. Defeated for good now, the ghost’s body was consumed by a burst of black flame as shadowy smoke drifted up from it until all that remained was a pile of soot.
”W-We did it… We d-did it!” the Noivern cheered happily, swooping down lower to fall more in line with her friends on the ground, ”G-Great job, team!” They had defeated the Sableye easily through the sheer power of teamwork, and were now free to push onwards to the next floor from here. However, it seemed that when Dotty had struck the Sableye with that Thunder attack, some of that energy ended up unintentionally being transferred to Radium as the Pichu suddenly began talking much quicker than usual. Piper just barely managed to catch the mouse’s declaration that they could go now before she took off towards the exit at a quick pace. ”Ah! R-Ray, wait up!” the Noivern called out as she moved to take off after the Pichu before she could potentially end up getting lost, glancing over her shoulder to call out to the rest of their team, ”C’mon, guys, w-we should go!” After the brutal beat down one of their fellows had been given, it seemed like none of the other Sableye were willing to chance messing with them, giving them the opportunity to make a run for the exit. The darkness of the far tunnel gradually faded to reveal yet another set of stairs as she drew closer, just managing to catch the sight of Radium as she clambered over the last step and dashed off towards the next floor. However, she didn’t get too far before she ended up tripping again over a pile of what looked like candies wrapped in blue paper. Oh! Those were Rare Candies if Piper remembered correctly, they gave Pokemon the energy to grow stronger when consumed. Perhaps Zoey would appreciate it if she brought these back with her, and sure enough there was another pile of the candies laying nearby just out of the way of where Radium had tripped.
Touching down at the top of the stairs, Piper carefully gathered up the pile with her wings, tucking them away in her fur to store for later. She moved towards Radium as the Pichu began eagerly gathering up the candies she had fallen over. ”Ah, m-maybe you sh-should save those for l-later, Ray,” she cautioned, carefully watching the electric mouse in case she might try to do something rash or otherwise dash out of her sight, ”It’s p-probably best to not e-eat those until you’ve c-calmed down a little.” The others were probably not too far behind, though Piper decided it was best to keep a close eye on Radium and prevent her from running off too far on her own for the time being until the rest of the group caught up with them.】☆ ☆

Ammy was able to use another, very cool looking attack twice, keeping the Sableye from getting up even further after Gail had knocked it onto the ground. It was starting to look pretty beaten up, so Gail hurried over, and quickly stood in its way, staring it down. Just to ensure it didn't completely get away (and then attack them from behind), Gail quickly leaped forward, using her front paws to pin it down, before looking over to Ammy. "I'll hold it for you, Ammy!" she decided, putting her weight into it.

A new place… Mystery Dungeon Mogwai spies a new friend! Daphnes, Chickpea, Dune
☆ ☆【The excitement radiating off of Dune and Chickpea at the prospect of potentially becoming knights was incredibly infectious, and Mogwai found himself sharing in their enthusiasm as he bounced up and down excitedly on his paws. He nodded eagerly to Dune’s question about them being knights too, listening as Daphnes went on to describe more weapons he had learned that knights used according to Temperance, lances, maces, bows and arrows… Most of them sounded pretty foreign to the Bewear as he had never seen such weapons before, though perhaps any further discussion about those could wait for the time being. Still, Mogwai was curious to know as to which one of those weapons would best represent each of their new companions as he posed that exact question to Daphnes as they pushed onwards. ”Yeeees… Proooove iiiiin fiiiiight fiiiirst,” the Bewear spoke in agreement with his Bagon partner about having to see how Dune and Chickpea handled themselves in combat before making a surefire decision.
And sure enough, they found yet another foe to face off against as they entered an enormous cavern covered all over with crystals with one incredibly giant one set in the dead center of the room. The purple skinned, gem-eyed fiend moved in to block their path in a way similar to how the Drifloon had as it bared its teeth and grinned menacingly at them, clearly it wouldn’t be letting them pass without a fight. With the challenge of combat issued, the pair of knights were quick to leap into action as Daphnes threw the first punch by bodily slamming into the ghost with a loud ‘THWACK’ and knocked it right on its a**. However, the sinister thing was quick to get back to its feet and advance on them, Mogwai immediately moving in to block it off from getting to his companions and retaliating with a punch infused with ice cold energy when it came within range. While the blow knocked the creature back quite a bit, this foe seemed to be made of much tougher stuff than the balloon ghosts on the previous floor had been as it moved to come after them again. Upon seeing an opening, Chickpea joined in on the offensive as he launched a flurry of sharp yet beautifully colored leaves that cut into the Sableye and even got stuck in its skin. The Bewear would’ve admired the pretty shininess of the leaves themselves if he wasn’t focused on keeping their enemy from attacking the rest of the group, snarling warningly as the ghost hardly seemed deterred by the Chikorita’s attack. Apparently seeing that it would be a futile effort to attack the three of them directly, instead the gem-eyed ghost put on a burst of speed to try and cut around Mogwai and get at Dune instead as the Dunsparce had yet to strike at it.
However, the Bewear’s sheer size made him a difficult obstacle to overcome, and he had no intention of letting the fiend slip by him that easily as he cocked both fists that surged with chilling energy in preparation to bring them down upon it regardless of what side it tried to go. His ears cocked back as he then heard the voice of their big-winged companion call out from behind him, just as a flurry of rocks burst out from around the Bewear’s great form and buried the Sableye underneath a good-sized pile. ”Weeeeell dooooone!” Mogwai bellowed out as he turned his head briefly to nod towards Dune and Chickpea, clearly quite proud of their fighting prowess. However, it appeared the ghost wasn’t down for the count yet as it managed to pull itself from the tomb of rocks, though Daphnes hardly gave it any chance to try to come after them again as he jumped forth and sank his teeth into the Sableye and gave it a great chomp like he had done with the Drifloon before. With a jerk of his head and an almost expert precision, the Bagon tossed the now limp body of the ghost into a nearby hole in the cave wall. Just like that, the path was now clear for them to proceed, as it seemed none of the other Sableye around were too keen on trying to stop them. Mogwai nodded affirmatively as Daphnes suggested they hurry and run for the exit, vouching that it was somewhere beyond where the enormous crystal obscured their view of the rest of the room across from their position. ”Goooot iiiiit!” the Bewear declared, jumping into action immediately. Figuring it would be quicker to just carry the rest of his group there, the bear carefully scooped Daphnes and Chickpea up. Rather than carrying them around like he had done to the Bagon before, he nestled the pair of them atop his shoulders. He then gently took hold of Dune and cradled him in one arm, using the other to help steady Chickpea in his position.
”Hooooold ooooon,” he said, pausing momentarily to give Daphnes ample time to establish a good enough hold on him and adjusting his firm but gentle grip on Chickpea before he made a speedy beeline across the crystal-covered room. Dashing as quickly as his legs could move around the base of the ginormous crystal, it didn’t take long for him to spot their way out, a tunnel on the opposite end of the room that led to what looked like another set of stairs. Mogwai gunned it right for the exit, his long strides and quick gait easily carrying himself and the rest of the collective team up the stairs well within only several seconds. He was panting with exertion by the time they reached the next floor, that run had felt almost like a marathon compared to last time after he and Daphnes had fought the Drifloon. Pausing momentarily to take a breather, Mogwai carefully put down Dune and bent down closer towards the floor for Daphnes and Chickpea to dismount from his shoulders if they so desired as he removed his hold from the Chikorita in particular. ”Sooooorryyyyy… Mooooogwaaaaaiiii diiiiid aaaaagaaaaaiiin…” he murmured apologetically, though the second part was directed more at the Bagon than the other two since he had just impulsively picked him up again without asking first. Still, Daphnes hadn’t seemed too upset with him the first time since they’d been able to make their exit quicker that way, but the bear felt that he really ought to not make this a habit for however much longer they had to go until they finally reached Darkrai.】☆ ☆

How did I come here? Mystery Dungeon Another lost soul? Xiao Lan, Beltigre, Shade, and Daiki
☆ ☆【In spite of her warnings to not touch anything, Fianna felt horror and dismay overcome her as Xiao Lan zoomed forth in her excitement and grabbed for a crystal. The Braixen immediately leapt into action, dashing after the Noibat just as she was surrounded by glittering eyes and fiendish smiles, shadowy clawed hands reaching for the cowering little bat in an attempt to take back what she had taken from them. Wasting not even a second, the fire fox leapt into the center of the fiasco, snarling at them to stay away from Xiao Lan and brandishing her flaming branch to ward the fiends away. Hissing in anger and irritation, the firelight revealed their attackers to be Sableye as the majority of the gang backed off the moment Fianna stepped in to defend the little one. However, one particular ghost seemed incredibly determined to get back the gem Xiao Lan had taken as it tried to get closer, only to be rewarded with a shocking fist to the face as the Braixen knocked it back and a bit of a ways away from them with a Thunder Punch.
As soon as the first punch was (literally) thrown, the rest of the team began jumping in to help defend their Noibat companion. Shade was first to join the fray, launching what looked like arrows made of pure shadow and striking the Sableye right on as it moved up to stand next to them. Fianna glanced back as pieces of armor similar to the ones that the Chengshen wore appeared on Xiao Lan to help protect her, turning her gaze towards the silvery creature as it quietly advised her to stay calm and stating that they were in control of the situation. ”Yeah… Alright… Calm…” she softly agreed, taking deep breaths to let her pent up anger dissipate while keeping a close eye on the very persistent Sableye, ”We’ve got this well under control…” In and out… in and out… Fianna felt her mind clearing bit by bit as she relaxed the tight grip she kept on her branch, repeating the phrase she had just uttered like a mantra in her head as she sharpened her focus. The Sableye managed to recover from Shade’s strike, but barely had time to try and advance on them again as Daiki swept up into the battle and slashed at it with claws laced with crackling dark energies. ”Th-Thanks, Daiki,” Fianna breathed out, giving a grateful nod towards the Zoroark, masking the bit of concern her gaze held as she momentarily looked towards him. Given his inexperience with combat and remembering how exhausted he’d been after the Drifloon fight, she wanted to make sure he wasn’t pushing himself more than he had to.
Still, there were more pressing matters to focus on, as even after being battered with quite a few attacks the Sableye was still standing as it hissed angrily and glowered at them with its sharp gemstone eyes. How dare these intruders prevent it from taking back what was rightfully theirs! Fianna returned its glare in full as she lifted her upper lip to bare her sharp little fangs, sweeping her flaming branch in a threatening gesture to indicate that if it wanted to try and hurt Xiao Lan it would have a hell of a time dealing with the whole group in return. Speaking of, clearly relieved and motivated by the group stepping in to defend her as well as her sweet new duds, the Noibat leapt in to join the offensive as she delivered a couple of cheesy one-liners with an equally cheesy laugh as she dove in and sank her teeth into the Sableye’s arm. However, the unusually resilient ghost, in spite of being pretty badly beaten, had now shifted its focus to try and grab at Xiao Lan as she was still latched onto it. ”Watch out, Xiao Lan!” Fianna called out, signaling for the Noibat to get to safety as she moved in to hopefully put an end to this for good. The Braixen narrowed her eyes as the Sableye seemed curious about the Noibat’s new armor, questioning if it was food before grinning deviously as it moved in to try and bite back at her. ”The only food you’ll get is a knuckle sandwich!” the fire fox growled as she stepped in, swinging a fist that surged with crackling electrical energy in a wide upward arc at the Sableye. The Thunder Punch uppercut struck a wicked blow right against the gem ghost’s chin, knocking a few of its sharp teeth loose as it was sent flying clear away from the group and slammed right against a large cluster of crystals that decorated the wall nearby. A few large chunks of gemstone were knocked loose from the impact, the crumpled form of the Sableye falling to the floor before it spontaneously combusted into a burst of dark flame until nothing but a pile of ash remained.
”And that’s how the crystal crumbles,” Fianna said with a huff and a nod, sweeping her flaming branch along the ground and back up to rest it on her right shoulder with a flourishing gesture. Speaking of… she turned her attention towards Xiao Lan, fixing her with a stern stare as she glanced at the crystal that had started that whole fiasco still in the Noibat’s hands. ”You really ought to be more careful and pay closer attention when we warn you not to do certain things, Xiao Lan… This could’ve ended a lot worse than it had if we hadn’t been able to get to you in time. We were lucky that these ghosts didn't really fight back even though they were tougher, but we'll need to exercise more caution because things will only get harder from here,” she spoke firmly, her lips pursed and free hand on her hip in disappointed parent fashion, ”Am I understood, young lady?”
Her eyes drifted towards the crystal the little bat held once again, and her flinty demeanor slowly softened as she blew out a breath. ”In the meantime, however… if you still want to keep that thing, then you may. Might as well at this point considering all the trouble we went through over it,” she said, offering a kindly smile and gently ruffling the Noibat’s fur behind her ears, ”For the sake of our safety, however, don’t pick up anything else until we’ve made it to the next floor, alright?” With their foe downed and the other Sableye having apparently retreated after witnessing the defeat of their comrade, the path ahead was now open for them to proceed. ”Let’s hurry and get out of here while we still can, I reckon the way to the next floor is on the other side of that giant crystal,” she suggested with a nod towards the rest of the group, gesturing ahead towards the area beyond where aforementioned enormous crystal in the center of the room lay. Once the rest of them started moving, she moved along with them as they made to traverse across the monstrously sized rocky room and around the mammoth gem towards where the stairs surely were.】☆ ☆
