This was where she started her very first journey, back when she was ten and so ignorant of the world. Hojo, who at the time, her best friend at her side. Now he was nothing more than a monster, a dangerous monster. Keeping Tay close while they were back in Kanto, the red-head decided to get to hands and knees to help the teen look for the next egg. It was shocking to Tay, but the teen eventually let it go, enjoying this time with Avikna.

There really wasn't anything note-worthy in Pallet Town save for the Lab that doubled as the home of Professor Oak. That strange old man.. she wondered if he was still alive. As the small group made their way across Pallet Town, Route one was coming slowly into view. Other fond memories started flooding back. Her first battle, her first capture. Fighting with Hojo over a silly female Nidoran. All the remembering was making her rather depressed. Tay had already endured her share of 'firsts' when it came to being a trainer. Winning a battle, losing several more, capturing a Pokemon for the first time, and watching one of your Pokemon evolve. Next up, was her first Gym badge. For that they'd need to make it back to Alola safely. Of that Avikna was sure she'd accomplish.

It wasn't long after that the group finally found a place to settle down and rest for a moment. The egg hunt wasn't fairing to well, but Tay was sure they'd find one soon. After awhile longer, the group finally decided to continue their search for the egg. Funny enough, their search wasn't all that long. Almost as soon as they hit the tree-line, Tay spotted an egg laying in the grass. Collecting the oblong sphere, she placed it in her bag. Calling Vivi back to his ball for the time being, the group got up on their fliers and promptly took off for the next location.

Yeah, the battle hadn't been difficult at all. The kid must've thought his pokemon were around the same level as the ones he was fighting, and figured he'd at least be able to put up a fight, but most of the hits were one or two shots. Admittedly, he'd used some type advantages, but still, his pokemon had obviously been able to overpower the others. He was just.... doing a mercy call by making it short. Right?

And much, much more importantly, caterpie had evolved! Adder now had himself a metapod, and he hoped to only need to do a bit more training before he could evolve it to a Butterfree. Then, it would just be one more trip to the pokecenter and he'd get another pokemon to start training. Well, or just switch in Charmander, finally. Probably that.... he'd kinda forgotten that he'd planned to train her. She was having so much fun with the egg hunt, he wasn't sure she cared, but that little display back in Castelia made him figure it was at least worth a shot. Honestly, it was very likely she was just the sort of pokemon who enjoyed what she did, whatever it may be.

Unfortunately, the pokemon here didn't really seem prime for battling. They were all exceptionally weak. Adder was pretty sure even he could defeat them, if he kicked hard enough. Er, not that he was the sort to kick pokemon or anything. He uh... wasn't that cruel. Maybe. Luckily, even if he was, he had pokemon to keep him on the straight and narrow, for the most part, or at least slap him when he erred in such a way (Pan). And in the meantime, they would help him in other ways.

Not quite late, he still hoped to get at least one more region done, but it was getting there. Which meant he would have soon spent two days on this. Johto, probably. It was closer. He looked up as he heard Charmander grunt, noticing it fighting with a stubborn bulbasaur, likely another trainer's pokemon. Between the two, tightly locked in both their grips (or, vines, in one's case), was an egg. Adder narrowed his eyes. "Charmander, just use your tail to get it to let go," he urged, already texting Saka. He knew the Bulbasaur wasn't likely to be wild, and he could already see another trainer taking notice, and making his way over. Charmander looked up, but then turned, whipping her flame towards the grass type's vines. "Bulba!" The grass starter cried out in surprise, and let go, and the moment it did, Adder scooped up the fire pokemon, watching out for the flame himself, and looked over when Saka appeared. Thank god the guy was prompt, even if he was a jerk. "Let's go," he urged, Chikorita bounding over to join them. Saka raised an eyebrow, but before the other trainer could even reach his own pokemon, the group had vanished.

If she were back home, she would get "The Look" from everyone because of Rattata choosing to tuck himself under her hat, but no one seemed to really care here. It must be something that happened a lot. Erryn was actually really relieved no one thought it was weird or inappropriate. That meant no one was going to tell her she shouldn't let Rattata do that or something. Or, at least, no one around her. As Erryn walked around Pallet searching for more Pokemon, her stomach growled and she stopped. Already? Didn't she just eat before leaving home with Celebi?

"Heh....I guess I didn't have a big enough meal earlier."Well, that was okay. She could find someplace to eat nearby. Right? If not, she could always hurry her way to another town with a cafe or something."Oh, but I...don't have any money that I could use here."
That was a problem. Erryn would have to find a way to earn some money or she'd starve to death before her adventure could even begin. That wouldn't be very good at all.

The group continued to wander around Pallet, looking for another Pokemon to fight. Erryn felt a little weird about that, but she just had to accept that was what being a trainer involved. As they walked, they came across another Rattata and Erryn smiled. Might as well be optimistic about it!

The Rattata was as easy to take down as hers was. Erryn was starting to think the Pokemon in Pallet were definitely for beginners. That worked for her, of course, but she was worried about sending Rattata out to fight. Maybe she'd avoid it until she was sure he could handle it without getting hurt too much.

Jacket tied around her waist, Ajicka looked around. Pallet.... Damn, this was a serious throw back. She shook her head, though, determined not to get lost in nostalgia. Though, at this point, she wasn't quite sure what else to get lost in. She'd got a pretty good workout over the past few locations, and she didn't really have any obvious opportunities here. Plus she sort of wanted to just let her hair dry-- it was a literal drag when it was wet. She moved over to sit in the sun, figuring she'd try and absently do some research while it dried. She supposed that, maybe, she could consider training, but honestly, she'd rather figure that out once she actually had things ready. Laying back, she folded her hands behind her head and stared up at the sky. She had decided to tackle this egg conquest thing, but she still, technically, needed to finish Unova. Not that her team was really at all ready for that. She should train them, but honestly, she just wanted to get to the Elite Four.
