He dipped his head in thanks and stood. He walked over to Terra, "Excuse me my dear but I am departing and I would really like a hug from my baby girl." He smiled as she stepped into his arms and kissed his cheek.
"I love you Daddy, you need to come around more often."
"I think I'll have to. Seeing as my babies are now technically engaged to some fine young men." He looked at Jesse, "You take care of my baby girl for me." He patted him on the shoulder and went to find Torra. When he found her she was asleep in Mikals room, by the window.
He went in quietly feeling weird for not having knocked. He kissed her head and left a note telling her he left and would be around more often to keep an eye on Terra and her new loves.
He left in a small flash and was back to his dimension, in his home where he fell asleep on his massive bed.

Torra was startled awake by a sudden flash of light. She looked around in fear for a moment, but she remembered where she was and calmed down. She stood and heard a faint ruffle noise as a small piece of paper fell to the floor. Bending, she picked the note off the floor and read it.
It was from her father, a farewell. "Disappointing." she whispered, not wanting to wake Mikal. Before leaving his room, Torra left Mikal a note saying she was going out for a little while, but she would be back so he shouldn't worry about her not coming back to him. She signed it with love and quietly left his room.
She paused after closing the door, she wasn't ready for all the questions about Mikals condition. She wandered around the massive hallways of Amieras castle. She found a small window on a far wall, opening it, she looked around for a way down, but when she looked at the drop below her, she decided she could just tuck and roll.
She scooted out onto the ledge and dropped. Once on the ground she rolled to a safe stop and started to run.

Mikal shifted, wincing as he shifted his wings. The dark room he was in was unfamiliar. The scent said that others had been here. He sighed, realizing his love was gone. He read the note and lay it on the bedside table. He wanted nothing to do with the Fae out in the other rooms. He wasn't in the mood to receive questions.

He read the note and lay it on the bedside table. He wanted nothing to do with the Fae out in the other rooms. He wasn't in the mood to receive questions.
When she stopped to catch her breath Torra had no idea where she was. "How did I not notice how far I ran?" she mumbled out loud. She smelled the air to get an idea of what area she was in, but came up with nothing. A thin mist covered the ground and the air seemed thick. "Odd." She walked a few paces toward what looked like a tree and a bench but stopped when a chill ran up her spine. Slowly she crouched and moved behind the large rock she had stopped by after her run.
The tree and bench looking objects were moving. At an extremely careful pace she moved along the ground careful not to make noise, a trick her uncle had taught she and Terra to avoid being detected on the battle field. When she finally made her way close enough to eavesdrop on whom ever it was that she was approaching.
It was a lady, extremely long almost white hair, with nearly translucent skin. Her voice was like nails on a chalk board, and yet some how it was soothing to hear. It made Torra shiver. The person, rather thing, she was talking to was hunched over, looking like it was going to get hit. It had deep grey/green skin and red eyes and misshapen brown teeth. "Those Faeries think they're so clever. They know not what they've done in killing our Queen." "No they don't my lady. What say you?""I say we bide our time. Let the little Summer Queen have her days of happiness that come with all that disgusting wedding planning those fae are doing. Let no one know when we will come. I feel it would serve us better to wait until her lovely bliss is over. Summer is always more powerful when feelings of joy and love are in the air.""Yes my lady."
Torra shivered again. This woman said the words love and joy like it was poison in her mouth. She had no idea what she had overheard after sneaking up to listen, but she knew she had to tell Amiera, even if she was just starting to calm down and relax. Life had been so much less stressful before she met her new friends that was for sure.
Before she could stop it, Torra let out a sigh, the woman and her creature jerked their heads up and looked around. The womans eyes narrowed in Torra direction. Torra froze, her uncles stealth move would only work if she remained unseen. The woman glided towards her and stopped a few feet short of where Torra had stopped to listen. "Those who listen to other peoples conversations should have their ears burned shut. But I believe whom ever was here has left us, Basil. Let us go back.""Yes my lady."
Once they were gone and Torra was sure she was alone, she let out her breath. "Too close that time. I wish I knew how I got here, I ran so many different directions, I lost track." She sat Indian style on top of the rock and calmed herself. Meditating always helped her retrace her steps. As soon as she closed her eyes she knew Mikal was awake. That was all she needed to help her find her way back. She stood and took off toward Amieras house.

Mikal had tried and failed for the umpteenth time, to sit up. He had no strength to lift his injured wings and he was severely thirsty. He dared not call for the others. It would only wound his pride more. His heart told him Torra was in trouble, and that worried him. He had no idea where she was. The other Fae were oblivious to his rousing. They wouldn't come near his room for fear of saying or doing something to hurt the pride of the Dark king. So there he waited. His love was out doing who knows what and all he could think about was the loneliness in the pit of his stomach.

It seemed like hours to Torra as she made her way back to the palace. Her thoughts were swarming around her head. So many obvious questions, who was that woman, her creature? What were they planning? The only thing she knew for sure was it wasn't going to be good what ever they were planning and she wasn't sure how much more Amiera and her family could take before they just gave up. She knew that would never literally happen but a person could only take so much before they feel completely beaten down.
In the back of her mind she knew something was wrong with Mikal, after the fight, and having been approved by both demon kings, all the demons and fae had been imprinted to each other. For whatever reason imprints let each partner feel the emotions of the one they were connected to. Torra and Terra shared a similar bond, being twins and all.
Once she made it back to the palace she remembered she climbed out a window and she hadn't walked out the front door. "Ugh! I really don't feel like seeing everyone, why are the windows so high in this place?!" After an agitated sigh, she began the climb back to the floor which Mikals room was located.
Torra managed the climb with little effort, she entered through the small window in which she had left through earlier. She walked back to Mikals room, and almost knocked but stopped herself, what if she was wrong and he was still asleep? She slowly opened the door and walked in. He was lying on his bed where she left him but he was awake and looked in a great amount of pain. "Hi there."

"There you are" H groaned softly. Mikal tried again to sit up and winced, moaning in pain. His wings felt like lead and ached where they connected to his back. "Tora.... Can you help me up? I need something to drink. He said softly. It was then that he noticed her worry and fear. "What happened Torra? Are you okay?" His heart began beating faster as he searched her eyes for any sign that she had been hurt.

"One moment." She went and slipped quietly past the main hall where everyone still was. They all seemed to be talking to their significant others, she smiled when she saw Jesse and Terra cuddled together. After making a quick trip to the kitchen, which she found pretty fast due to the wonderful smells coming from it, she grabbed a bottle of water and a bottle of pinkish blue liquid that had a little red cross on it, she assumed it was for healing of some sort.
She made her way back to Mikal and gave him the bottles. He drank the water quickly but didn't bother with the other. "How are you doing now?" She sat beside him careful no to touch his wings, and kissed his cheek and smiled at him.

"I could be better." He grumbled Carefully he slid over and rested his head on her shoulder. He was enjoying the warmth of her body near his. "My wings only hurt where they connect to me. I can't feel them otherwise." He said softly. "Now what has you so flustered my love?" He asked, concerned for her.

Torra looked away and bite her lip. "Well, I can't say exactly." She looked back at him. "I'm not one hundred percent sure I saw or heard what I did." she paused, "Ok, I better start from when I left."
Torra told him about not wanting to talk to anyone, to the window, to thinking she ran a long way but she really didn't, but when she stopped she wasn't anywhere, to the woman and creature Basil, and her trip back. "If it actually happened we have to tell Amiera but if it didn't then we would get her worked up for no reason. I've had experiences like this one before and they turned out to be me just hallucinating while running." She leaned her head so her cheek lay on top of his head. "It was so creepy how she talked. It was like I had to listen."

Mikal sighed. "We need to inform someone, hunny. I'm sorry. I know you worry about upsetting Amiera, but we need to inform her. She needs to know that someone is threatening her. Of course, I am the head of her security so I can make sure nothing happens. I'll do what I can." He said softly.
Amiera sighed. She had felt Torra leave and return to the palace. The girl was upset and that put Amiera on edge. She had felt something strange in the air lately. Something was wrong. She knew it.

Torra chewed on her bottom lip. A nervous habit she thought she had long out grew. "I just wish we could have her wedding and some happy non stressful days instead of all the chaos that's been happening."

"Oh love." Mikal sighed. "Living with Fae is chaos. It comes with the freedom we are given." He held her close. "The wedding will happen and things will be happy. At least for a little while. Please have patience for just a little longer and just a little more chaos."

Toma hadn't noticed while he was hugging her, Remonee had fallen asleep. He didn't think he'd been sitting there for that long, but he looked out the window, he noticed the sun had all but gone down. He smiled sweetly at her being all cuddled up to him.
It was nice to have a love of his own to hold and give all his devotion to.
