No one will ever tame this animal I have become. ..................................................................................................................................................✖✖✖✖✖ The sun was setting casting a haunting orange glow on the sand. Purple and dark blue clouds splashed themselves along the horizon bathing most of the desert in a haunting darkness. Her hood was drawn tight around her face, her hands clutching at the opening in the cloak drawing, that too, tight around her body. With the setting sun, brought a chill and she shivered, seeing her breath rise up out of the fabric and into the air.
Almost instantly the sounds of insects and animals rose up like an unholy choir as they emerged from their slumbers, hidden from the burning sun during the day. Now that it was night, they could come out and hunt, unafraid of the dry heat, but still wary of predators that slinked past them in the sand. She knew how to identify which sounds was with each insect. It was almost child play, but she still passed the time with the identity game until she could find a suitable place to camp up for the night. It was still a half a days walk to her destination, and if she was lucky she might arrive tomorrow late morning.
She had no idea why she was returning. She had left three times- four if you counted the heavy S-class suicide mission she had somehow managed to survive while the rest of her group laid under the ground, body parts still missing. All she got were a couple of scars; one particularly nasty one under her rib cage. She didn't expect anybody she knew to still be there, all having left, missing,or dead. The bad memories their outweighed the good ones, but still, it was home. It was the only place she had ever called home.
She stopped for the night, caught and roasted a Jackrabbit for dinner. She clutched desperately to the heavy material of her cloak, sitting close to the fire. Her cold aura chased away any would be predators, and those that got too close were chased away with one cold glare from her milk colored eyes.
She bit back a yawn and leaned back on her pack. She had disappear shortly after the One Man Invasion. It had taken her a couple of months of licking her wounds. Depression turned to anger, anger into hatred, hatred into loathing, and then loathing in to indifference. After so long, she couldn't find the strength to even care anymore. He was just another man, another person who had walked into her life and then out. He had taunted her, used her feelings, toyed with her; and then dropped everything and walked away without so much as a good bye. She had come to realize that he had used her, for whatever sick enjoyment he got out of it. It was a game to him, one where only he knew the rules, and one where only he could quit and start playing at any time.
Eventually she just didn't care. If he never returned or if he suddenly appear before her now; she would give him no more than a passing glance and think "Oh" before returning to starring at the fire. For a moment she held her breath, stilling all her movement, waiting for something like that to happen, because Fate liked to mess with her enough for something like that to happen. When nothing did, she returned to starring back at the fire, until her eyelids felt so heavy that she could do nothing more but succumb to the effects of sleep.
She was up early the next morning, packed and all traces of her camp gone in less than five minutes. She was already walking towards her destination before before the first rays of sunlight filtered through the morning air. The chill began to climb into warmth, and then warmth into heat. By mid morning heat rays began to filter up over the sand in the distance. No cloud or breeze offered relief from the sun.
Too soon the walls off the city became visible in the distance and each step got her closer to the city placed in what appeared to be the middle of the desert. You either had to know how to get there, or be lucky enough to stumble upon it before you died of dehydration. She found herself starring at the base off the wall all too soon, before walking inside.
The guards watched her curiously. By the way she walked and held her body as if she was returning to something familiar, they knew she belonged in Suna, but they could not see her face. When she reached the check in point she stood in front of the guard, waiting for him to make the first move. When he did, she handed over her passport and identification papers. He glanced at them, before doing a double take, his eyes widening slightly. He looked upwards in time for a gust of wind to blow her hood back slightly. He got a good look at her face.
"I-It's good to have you back," he said. She looked down at him, her lips pursed together in a thin line, eyes a cold nothingness. He handed back her papers and she turned and walked away.
"Dude. Who was that," another guard came up to the first one.
"That the Akasuna no Chi," he answered.
"The... What?"
"I forgot, you're somewhat new. Her name is Etsushi Motarasu. She's a Jounin that's been apart of several historic battles. Not only that, but she's the Hyuuga Clan Head," The first guard answered. The second one whistled in astonishment.
"You forgot something," a third guard said, watching the swish of Etsushi's robes as she walked down the streets, "That girl there, is the reason Suna was hailed as a blood thirsty nation for so long. Last I heard, her body count was in the thousands."
The three turned to watch the girl walk down the street stiffly until she disappeared into the crowd. ✖✖✖✖✖ Chakra: 120/120 Status: Alive Mood: Detached. No pleasure No expression Just and illusion of what should have been but wasn't...

David took his sweet time getting to the village gates, walking barely fast enough to be considered moving at all the entire way. He was fully enjoying the growing nervous silence from Akura as he was no doubt worrying over what mission he was being sent on, not to mention the possible fear of disturbing David himself. A healthy fear really, unfounded as it may have been at the moment.
As the two finally arrived at the gates, David sped up slightly to a normal walking pace. He wanted to get to their destination before the day ended after all. He didn't stop even as they passed the guard station, and for their part, the guards didn't bother him, and neither would they bother anyone with him. A smile crawled across the boy's face as he passed the end of the great crevice, entering the desert again at last. It just wasn't the same out here as inside the village. It was simply, more. He loved it, the feeling of power from the connection he felt to every grain of sand the great desert held. Still, he continued to walk out into the desert, not following the road, but angling off into the open desert itself, in the direction his true destination laid. By now, Akura should have realized that he wouldn't be simply taking his mission alone. It was a test after all, and David would be there to watch his performance.

Akura made his way beside the David, looking around the crevice, seeing all the guards around him, his fear slowly dissipating, but clearly still there within everyother glance the boy would throw around, showing that above everything else, Akura was paranoid. Paranoid because he didn't know what his mission was. Did he have to raid a village? Did he have to kill bandits? But above all, the one thing that haunted his mind, was having to fight David, in a desert, alone. The mear thought of it shook Akura to his core. And with that now in mind the boy started to lag behind David, with that thought freshly on his mind, haunting him. Ever so often the boy would gulp and his hand would shake due to the anticipation, not knowing where they were going was killing him, not knowing what his mission was made him want to kill himself.
Eventually, Akura walked behind David and made his way out of the crevice, the fact that he was behind David meant that he couldn't see his smile, which unknown to the boy was actually a good thing, seeing a psychopath like David or Etsushi smile, while going on an unknown mission would be like signing your mental, and emotional, deathwish. With a sigh, Akura walked behind the unknown Kage toward a location which he didn't know what was, in their case, the Oasis.

Konaga Shinji| Konaga Clan | Speed/Offensive Type | Iwagakure | Chuunin ||| Shinobi Profession: Teaching Master || RPC Profile || Approaching the grand structure in front of him, Shinji couldn't help but marvel at the security of the village. Beyond the standard gate guards, Shinji could note several other guards littered about the structure, and he was sure that ANBU were not far from the scene, if in fact ANBU existed in the Sunagakure as they did elsewhere. Still, Shinji had nothing to hide or fear of them as he was not here with any ulterior or sinister motives and so he marched confidently to the gates and greeted the guards with a eloquent and polite introduction.
"Greetings from the Earth Country noble guards of the Sunagakure. My name is Konaga Shinji and I have come to visit your fair village in the hopes of finding an audience with the Kazekage himself, or whoever will here me on an offer I have for you. I wish to become a friend to this village and serve within it in a certain capacity. I believe I have much to offer and I would very much appreciate the opportunity to work and grow within your historic village. At the very least however, I have traveled a great distance to come here and would request at least temporary lodging within your great walls."
Having delivered his carefully prepared words, Shinji waited for the guards to respond before he suddenly turned his head and noticed the sign-in sheets which were out in the open for visitors to take. Noticing the small error in his approach, Shinji grinned in amusement and took a sign-up sheet and filled it out quickly, handing it to the guards... "...or maybe I should just fill out the sheet and leave the details for later." Shinji hoped that he had not botched his first impression too badly. In the end, he was not the diplomat his father was... but in the end he had a style all his own which could be just as effective.Konaga Shinji Name: Konaga Shinji Rank: Chuunin Village: Iwagakure Equipment: Standard Ninja Equipment , Custom Sword, Custom Windmill Shuriken Reason for visiting: As a refugee of the Iwagakure, I request an audience with the Kazekage to negotiate my services as an operative within the Sunagakure. Her red hair and stained kimono swirrled in the blistering Suna air. Other than her left arm which hung in a sling and was pressed closely to her body; she looked normal enough.
She stepped into the shadows of the gates, two of the guards from earlier bowing thier head in acknowledgement. One of them stepped forward, putting his mouth to her ear, his hand blocking his lips from being read. She leaned in closer to hear what he was saying. She hesitated, nodding curtly, her milky white eyes straying over to the mysterious man.
One of the guards handed her a piece of paper and looking down, she confirmed that it was a log in sheet. She looked at it briefly, before handing it back. She stepped forward, "Konoga-san? Unfortunately our Kazekage isn't quiet... here, at the moment. Until contact with the Kazekage has been initiated, I have been given the duty to... escort you around Suna. Konaga Shinji| Konaga Clan | Speed/Offensive Type | Iwagakure | Chuunin ||| Shinobi Profession: Teaching Master || RPC Profile || Having waited for some time now outside the gates without any kind of response, Shinji began to pace back and forth impatiently. It wasn't like they were ignoring him, though the guards could have stood to be a bit more personal, but it was taking them a long time to respond. He could see the men passing messages to each other in whispers behind hands, triggering a chain of actions involving some guards disappearing in different variations of the 'Instantaneous Body' technique. After a while, Shinji was starting to expect a team of ANBU arriving behind him to escort him away from the village especially when the guards had stood there staring at him without saying a word for so long, but until it happened, Shinji would stick around.
His patience starting to wear thing, Shinji began to pace a bit more, his eyes trained on the dark chasm which was the entrance to the Sunagakure, waiting for someone to arrive. After a few paces however, Shinji's movement suddenly stopped, his eyes glazing over a bit as his muscles tensed and his face began to show signs of great pains sweeping through his body. Fighting the piercing pain throughout his body as much as possible, Shinji could do nothing against the waves of stabbing pain which struck his body, tearing at him from the inside out as his body heat rose dramatically and his muscles tightened in response to the pain.
His mind and body arrested for some time, Shinji tried to will tyhe pain back to the background of his mind, but could only manage it after about 15 seconds, which in front of an unknown group of people, in the middle of the desert, felt like an eternity. Once the pain finally subsided however, Shinji was quick to try to recover in the eyes of the others by continuing his pacing, but his breathing was heavy for a few steps and his speed slowed down as he looked to the entrance to see if anyone had yet arrived.
As if arriving on command to his curiosity, a body suddenly emerged from the shadow, almost as if it had walked out of the shadow itself to reveal a strikingly beautiful woman in some rather eclectic dress. Shinji liked her style immediately and produced a grin at her arrival, stopped his pacing immediately, and approached the entrance point where he had filled out the form. Eyeing the woman up and down, Shinji's smile grew and wondered if perhaps this was the Kazekage, which would explain the way she was dressed, but the thought that the Kazekage would come to him, a random stranger at the gates, seemed unlikely.
Whoever she was however, Shinji was pleased with her presence. Not only was she more then easy on the eyes, but as the guards spoke in her ear, Shinji was sure that she was there to deal with him, which meant he would have a resolution to his request soon. Noting what he could of the woman in the short time he saw her, Shinji surmised by the way the guards treated her that she was at least a Jounin... if going by nothing but her eclectic dress and the way she carried herself. Undoubtedly she was higher ranked then a Chuunin, and the distinction between Sp. Jounin and Jounin was hard to determine. Continuing to smile at the woman as she looked to him again, Shinji nodded his head in a sort of half respectful fashion as she approached. Not bothering to protect his face from the sudden gust of wind and dust particles which flew between them, ruffling her kimono and his own loose fitted clothes in the wind, Shinji concentrated on the woman and listened carefully as she addressed him.
After taking the situation in, Shinji was a bit disheartened that the Kazekage was not available at the present time, but was more then happy to be escorted by the woman into the village. At the very least, it was a foot in the door, and Shinji was happy to take the opportunity... "Not here right now, eh? Oh well, a Kage's time can never be fully expected I suppose. I will simply have to wait until he or she returns. In the meantime however, I will happily accept your invitation into the village, especially when such a fine woman is to be my escort. But please, call me Shinji... Konaga-san just seems too formal, even if it's the first time we've ever met."
Shinji's playfulness and easy going nature would come through strongly in his response, as would his confidence in himself in the way he interacted with complete strangers. After giving his response, he smiled widely and locked eyes with the woman, waiting for a response from Etsushi's cold and diplomatic stance...[Chakra Point Total: ∞] [Stamina : 82/85]

Jishaku Furimawasu |The Gold Lightning of Kumo|Ninjutsu Specialist|Elemental Control Sunaton(Sand)/Jiton(Magnetism)|Kumogakure|Raiton|Jounin|
Walking casually through the crevice up to the gates with his hands in his pockets, Jishaku wondered just how welcoming the sand village would be. Every time he'd ever visited, he along with his former comrades were greeted with complete suspicion. The Kazekage at the time was rather paranoid however, and he didn't know who was in charge now. He had two goals in mind for this trip, and one of them took precedents over the other. He was to use his time here to find the shukkaku host first and foremost. He'd train some kids here and there, but he was to make sure his abilities with sunaton were kept hidden. It was a village ninjutsu style that was not taught to any outsiders, and him using it there could blow his cover. So instead, he would use strictly raiton for the time being. Annoying, but worth it. Before exiting the crevice and coming into view of the Suna gates, he formed a hand seal and muttered, "Henge." It wasn't a full henge he needed, he just needed to change his hair color. It went from silver to black in an instant after a puff of smoke. Now he was ready to begin.
Coming up on the gates at last as he exited the crevice, he was approached by two guards. When asked why he was here, he gestured towards the Iwa headband on his thigh. "Well, my village was disbanded as you know. Geographically speaking, Suna was the closest village to Iwagakure. I come seeking temporary residence until I can figure out where to go and what to do. I'm definitely helpful, and I have no qualms with helping Suna in any way I can while I'm here." He smiled lightly at the pair, something he found quite difficult to do when he wasn't playing a part. Still, he hoped this would be over soon enough. [Chakra points Total: 159/169] Exploding Sand Grenade= 3/3 Iron Powder Bombs= 5/5 Shuriken= 16/16 Gold Dust Bombs= 5/5 "This is just too easy."

The two guards looked at each other after the man's introduction, eyebrows raised at each other. A second Iwa nin in as many hours coming for refuge? Looking back to the man, one of the guards pulled an entry form from his pocket and handed it to the man. "Fill this out and go over there." he said, gesturing towards the growing clump of people nearby with his thumb. "One of your comrades is already here, Etsushi's going to be escorting him until the kazekage can meet him; should work for you too." He smiled at the man as he finished, before the duo headed back towards their post. The atmosphere was relaxed, but the guards were a bit wary of multiple foreign ninja showing up like this, and when they reached their shelter, a silent call was sent out for reinforcements just in case things went sour.

No one will ever tame this animal I have become. ..................................................................................................................................................✖✖✖✖✖ Etsushi starred at Shinji when he mentioned her looks, her face stoic and unwavering. Admittedly, it had caught her off guard, but her poker face was unrivaled, so she starred at him until he had finished talked, a bright grin on his face.
"I'll have one of the guards sent for me when the Kazekage returns, so you can see him Shinj-san,"she replied. Turning her head she looked at her two students who were behind her. She would need a place for the four of them to stay and a place she could train them while keeping an eye on Shinji. She thought about her house, but the idea of having so many people there made her skin crawl. The last them there had been so many people there, she had slaughtered them all in a night.
Etsushi went to turn back to the Konoga and suggest they all go to a ramen bar while the figured out what to do with them; when she heard the guards suggest the new man also be escorted by her. Her head snapped up and a throaty growl rose from the back of her throat, "No."
The simply word was enough to send a chill in the surrounding area, making everybody in the vicinity feel as if it was forty degrees rather than the ninety-six it was. The guard turned to her, took one look at her cold narrow eyes and paled.
A second, much older guard stepped forward, "Etsushi-sama," he said quietly. The two starred at each other, a battle of wills being waged between their eyes. The more they starred at each other, the more Etsushi began to lose. Her resolve was being broke down because she knew the guards were right. Without David, Etsushi was the strongest person in the village. There was a reason the counsel feared the two above everybody else in Suna. David, probably because of the thing inside of him (though, admittedly, she had never seen him in battle before), and Etsushi because of the name she carried and the weight of both the Akasuna no Chi and the Hyuuga Clan Head. If anybody could watch the two mysterious Iwa nin and train Kiyoshi and Niajhay at the same time, it was her. It was the thought of being around so many people that she had a problem with. 'After all,' she thought, 'The only time you've been around so many people since you killed Father, is if you're killing them.'
She turned to the new arrival, more than irritated by his presence, "Your name?" she a little more cooly than she intended.✖✖✖✖✖ Chakra: 120/120 Status: Alive Mood: Detached. No pleasure No expression Just and illusion of what should have been but wasn't...

Konaga Shinji| Konaga Clan | Speed/Offensive Type | Iwagakure | Chuunin ||| Shinobi Profession: Teaching Master || RPC Profile || The scene around him having evolved from almost complete quiet to a crowd of almost half a dozen people clamoring around the entrance to the Sunagakure was beginning to get a little out of hand. First, another ninja arrived, taking up a position behind Etsushi while bearing the same white pupil-less eyes as the woman. As the boy eyed him suspiciously, Shinji glanced at him for only a second, wearing the same smirk of amusement he always had before moving his sites back to Etsushi. Not long after however, another Suna shinobi arrived, this one also staying behind Etsushi, whispering something.
From this action alone it was all but clear that these were two younger ninja, perhaps lower rank then Shinji. The way they spoke behind their hands in front of others and the way they carried themselves even in just these brief moments would indicate that as well as their submissive positions behind Etsushi. Of course, Shinji could be wrong, but that was his guess anyway... not that it mattered. Something of much greater interest arrived not much later however as a shinobi of somewhat more 'notable' presence arrived on the scene. Having approached the guards just as Shinji had himself... one could not help but notice the Iwagakure headband he wore around his leg. Though excited at first to see another of his kin arriving in Sunagakure, Shinji's cheer quickly changed into suspicion though as he could not for the life of him, recognize the man's face.
His gaze following the stranger's movements, Shinji listened as he introduced himself as an Iwagakure ninja coming for temporary residence and to give assistance just as he himself had offered. Shinji's mind flipped through the rosters of Iwagakure ninja that resided with him in his village, those he had worked with, those he had heard of, and those whom were stationed in other lands... but this man's face was among none of them. Being an actual former member of the Iwagakure, Shinji was ready to call the man on his lie right there and then, but he figured that there would be a better time for that then in front of the gates of the village with two younger shinobi nearby which could become casualties if a fight were to erupt.
As such, Shinji buried the thought in his mind and returned to the situation had hand just in time to catch the growling 'No' which escaped from his escort and the scene which took place between her and one of the guards. Apparently this woman carried quite a deadly reputation around here. The situation was growing more and more uncomfortable and Shinji could see that things were quickly spiraling out of control with confusion and suspicion flying all around them. Shinji knew that his motivations were pure, but he could see how others would not feel at ease with him and this other shinobi. With the second student whispering now in Etsushi's ear, Shinji felt a need to speak up in order to help the situation move along in a more controlled manner and perhaps to begin exonerating his own motives.
"I'm sure I'm not the only one here who can feel a bit of tension flying around. I can easily recognize that I am a new face to this village and that none of you have any reason to trust me. However, perhaps I can offer a small solution to the sudden arrivals at the doors of your fair village while you are all seemingly shorthanded on escorts. If it would please you Lady Etsushi, perhaps you could lead us to an open training grounds within the village where I can take on the responsibility of training the two young shinobi behind you. In my home village I was a Teaching Specialist and I am more then capable of training shinobi in the execution and use of ninjutsu beyond my own elemental limitations so long as I have a scroll of the technique in front of me."
Continuing on in gracious manner, Shinji spoke with confidence offering forth his suggestion as a possible means to resolve the current pileup at the gates while being careful not to force the matter, and thus seeming manipulative in any way. "This would give the benefit of allowing you to keep an eye on myself and the other newly arrived shinobi whilst simultaneously continuing the training which I'm sure both of your students would be grateful to receive. And though I'm sure it was already in your plan... ANBU could be posted as well to act as backup until the Kazekage is available to meet with us."
"How would that sound to you my Lady?" Having finished his suggestion, Shinji's eyes scanned the area, looking at each person around the gate to gauge how his words were received. His gaze ending on Etsushi, as Shinji adopted a playful look on his face and grinned once more, raising his eyebrows as if to goad the fine lady into a receptive response to his suggestion. He knew that he was trustworthy, but what reason did she have to trust him? Still, Shinji felt that this plan would help everyone achieve their goals simultaneously. The students would receive training, Shinji would gain access to the village and an opportunity to prove himself and his usefulness and Etushi would be free to keep a close watch on himself and the other shinobi. Hopefully, she would see it the same way. [Chakra Point Total: ∞] [Stamina : 81/85]

Jishaku Furimawasu |The Gold Lightning of Kumo|Ninjutsu Specialist|Elemental Control Sunaton(Sand)/Jiton(Magnetism)|Kumogakure|Raiton|Jounin|
At the sudden grumble and simple reply of 'no' from the redheaded woman, Jishaku had to still himself and control the urge to reveal his kitsune-like smile. Already he liked her, she had spunk after all. In his experience, only shinobi like that were really worth the time to lift a finger towards. She certainly looked like she could go more than a round with him, however given his new found power he was curious to see. Jishaku had not ignored the boy he saw ahead of him who was also from Iwa based on the headband he displayed proudly. It was rather irksome to have to deal with another Iwa-nin in the village, however seeing as how he himself destroyed most of it before anyone had a chance to see him, he knew there'd be a sudden influx of Iwa-nin into the other villages. In fact, he also knew that Suna was the closest geographically to Iwagakure and therefore it would most likely have the largest influx of Iwa-nin, which for him was a good thing. It validated his being there, and now all he needed to do was initiate phase two: convincing the Iwa forces in this village that he was one of their own.
Turning to Shinji, he smiled brightly showing his teeth. He looked like an individual who was nothing but jovial on a day-to-day basis. With a two finger salute towards Shinji he said with confidence, "Hey there, I see you're from Iwa as well. I'm Jin Ashijizou, it's a pleasure to meet you." Placing a finger on his chin and tapping as if to think, he raised his index finger in an 'a-ha' moment. "I forgot, I hadn't been in the village for six years so I'm sure we've never run into each other. There's a reason for that, but I'm afraid I can't tell you that until we hopefully get a bit of time to talk. Perhaps we could grab dinner together after the day is done and have a chat? It'd be nice to hear from someone who was in the village when the attack happened. I----I didn't get home in time to help." His last sentence was sullen in nature, drenched with self loathing for apparently not getting back to his village in time for the attack. He diverted his eyes to the side staring at the sand as if averting Shinji's gaze out of shame or fear of being viewed as a disappointment. His name was Jin here, at least for the time being. Luckily for him he'd taken the time to change his hair color, sure that Kumo forces would be dispatched through the great five looking for the man who slaughtered the men at the gates. However, if he were successful he'd be able to hide here until Suna was taken off of Kumo's village search list.
Turning to take the application given to him by the Suna nin, he nodded his head slowly as if still sort of in a stupor after mentioning his absence from Iwa during the attack. Jishaku was certainly the actor, a bit proud of himself internally for the performance. Turning away from the group, he filled out the paperwork silently.
Name: Jin Ashijizou Rank: Special Jounin Village: Iwagakure Equipment: 5 light bombs, 5 smoke bombs, 16 shuriken. Reason for visiting: Seeking temporary residence from destroyed village.
Handing it to the guard as Shinji spoke to Etsushi, Jin seemed to perk up a bit. "I-I can help as well. I'm certainly no teaching specialist, but I am quite adept with raiton. I understand however if we need to speak with the Kazekage first though." He stood waiting patiently for an answer, although inside he was literally screaming in agony. He wanted to simply kill everyone at that moment and storm into the village without having to go through what he considered a crap-load of unnecessary bureaucratic red tape. In the old days, communication between villages was so scarce, they'd simply be impressed if another village's shinobi found them. Not only that, but sneaking into the village used to be the way to go back in the day. Obviously and unfortunately for Jishaku, times had changed even before he was born.

{I'm bored, so I'll help move this along!}
As the situation complicated itself, with the guests themselves apparently trying to solve it, a nearby guard was talking over a radio, apparently having an impromptu conference with someone on the other end. After a few minutes, the man grabbed two forms from the guard station and walked over to the small group, stopping a few feet from them. Holding up the forms, he spoke up, cutting into the conversation. "These are forms to apply for a visitor's pass. With this pass, you are allowed into the village alone. You may freely enter any civilian locations, including the Kazekage's tower. Shinobi locations however are off limits unless you have a shinobi escort, such as Etsushi here." he waved towards Etsushi at this, flashing her a look at the same time. It was what she had been called for, but she seemed reluctant to do the job. "Using jutsu outside of designated training areas is prohibited, and access to the library is by the Kage's permission only. Besides those rules, you have full freedom within the village. You may purchase an apartment, or even a house, should you have the funds."
As he finished explaining the pass, the guard held out the forms to the two shinobi, along with pens to sign them with. "Of course," he added offhandedly, "you can still enter without the pass, but you'll need an escort wherever you go." That line was as much for Etsushi as for the guests. He had no doubt the woman didn't wish to babysit foreign ninja for the foreseeable future when she already had students of her own besides her normal duties. He left it unstated, but the ANBU would also be watching the men, whether they took the pass or not.
