Personality: Ash is the lone wolf kind of guy. He's not afraid to speak his mind but would rather avoid contact with others all together. He is prone to starting fights, verbal and physical. He acts tough and is brusk, however under this facade he is a lonely boy that wishes to make/have friends but is to afraid that they will die like his family. He hates to see others die. He refuses to kill and will do incredibly stupid things to save lives.
Also when it comes to serious fights Ash is a very observant, tactical fighter. Analyzing opponent's weakness and strengths then using them to his advantage. This is an ability that he will develop more as he grows to help him defeat opponents with chakra levels much greater than his own.

╫Background Information╫
Ash was close to his parents and his older brother. They lived together in a modest house and shared a great, loving relationship. His older brother even helped him train to become a full fledged ninja like him. To Ash his brother was his idol and his best friend in the world.
Then when Ash was 13 his world was turned upside down and inside out. His brother and parents all went out on some high ranked mission, none returned. All three died tragic deaths on the field. The loss hit the village hard as the three had been some of their finest covert operators, but out of everyone Ash was hit the hardest. He retreated into a shell for a time and when he finally emerged he had changed form the happy smiling kid to the lone, delinquent. His Anigan activated during this trauma. He developed his brusk behavior towards others as a way to keep them at a distance. Though in truth he really wanted friends to fill the void left behind but he is just too afraid to let anyone close. He has set his mind on becoming strong enough that he won't need(want) help. He often starts fights to make the point that he works better alone.
