Relax love. Red could see the turmoil on the features on Aasritha's body, her ears especially showing a unease. Don't go worrying him too much. He's sensitive enough to people's feelings, showing them will only encourage him to worry more. I'm not nearly as irritated as I seem so remain calm.
Of course Red knew she was lying, but she was imitating the same soothing voice she would use at home. It took most of her power to keep the voices from leaking out to other telepaths. They were so powerful and so present at the forefront of her thoughts that any mental dialogue was a risky endeavor, but it was still the best way to have a private talk with someone.
"What would you like? And you too Valin?" Since she was already there, why not get everyone something. She was already pouring her own water in a glass. She didn't return the pitcher though in case they too wanted something as well. Didn't stop her from drinking though. Slowly she let the water trickle down her throat, cooling her head, slowly numbing it and quieting the voices. Each drop was making her feel better.
She listened as she drank to the Jedi's comments about droids and how annoying they were. Of course she had never met one, but then AI was something she tampered with a little at one time. It was most certainly not something she cared too much about.
"Artificial Intelligence will be the ultimate bane of our existence. To create such complex technology is a feat many pursue just to prove it can be done, but once they do it, what's to stop the nature from making that intelligence greater? Droids have no souls and therefore cannot die. Their knowledge can survive much longer than the life expectancy of a typical human. That makes them convenient yes, but very dangerous. The trick would be to limit the amount of data they can store."

It was strange. Every time Valin spoke, she somehow felt calmer. She wasn't sure what it was about him but she felt so comfortable now. Her glossy black ears perked up slightly but remained down in a personal effort to placate Red. Red's voice continued to calm her but their was always that fear or respect that kept her even slightly on edge. Even after listening to Red talk of the droids, she was still confused.
"Valin... What is a droid? and a meatbag?"
These terms intrigued her. They were something new and spoke to her of who Valin was. She was so curious... she was a very young foxling after all. Merely a pup compared to most. Everything piqued her curiosity. She looked up at him with her innocent and curious eyes wondering what kinds of things he had experienced and what he was willing to share.

Valin chuckled, he should have known better than to expect them to know what those meant, "Droids are basically robots with artificial intelligence. They perform a various amount of functions - from the simple labor droid to the more complex protocol droids that know millions of languages and help with species to species relations. There are also combat droids or the very dangerous assassin droids."
It was nice to meet someone open to taking in new knowledge. Valin himself loved to learn new things - especialy Jedi history, which was why he spent so much time with the holocrons. If he was still in his galaxy he would have probably ended up as a Jedi Historian.
"As for the word 'meatbag'," Valin said with a goofy grin, "That is my assassin droid - HK-47's - term for organic species, especially humans. He's a very odd machine, extremely sapient but still refers to me as his 'master' ever since I found him."
"As for that drink, Red. Give me something that looks good. It's not like I can drunk if I don't want to," The Corellian said as he took off his cloak that was over his Jedi robes.

Silently she listened as Valin and Aasritha hit it off. She honestly had no interest in light conversation and in fact wanted Aasritha to get acquainted with the people Red considered trustworthy. There were many people that came to this place and Red couldn't give a damn less about most of them, but she wasn't going to stop Aasritha from making friends so long as she knew who it was that Red relied on with what little the world knew of her.
That being the case, she had no problem losing herself to her own thoughts - the ones that didn't include insulting herself and pushing her to the brink of insanity. How much stronger was she now she wondered? There was no sure fire way to say until she fought with someone. India was nice. Seeing the gods so close to her among others whose faith astounded her. She would be busy throughout the next week. Why did she invest her money the way she did?
How long was that worthless sack of flesh going to live? She should have killed him long ago...

She didn't mean to but Aasritha heard a bit of Red's self conversation. Now she understood what the droid must have meant by meatbag and could see it comparison to the 'worthless sack of flesh' on Red's mind.
"Ah, I see. So they are like dangerous toys? Can't you make one to talk to and play with? Or do you already have one of those? What colors are they? Can they be small? Can they look like people? How big can they be? How small? Do you have one that I can see?!"
"... I'm sorry..."
She was just a bit hyper talking to someone so playful and this was her first time out in a while. Though going to India next week that was both a good and bad thing. Now she just wanted to enjoy life as much as she could. She was so thirsty after her rant and saw a drink on the table. Unfortunately she had never been to a bar before so she did not know what she had just grabbed and drank. Though it did make her head feel kinda funny...

"Woah there, slow down there a bit. You're going a kilometer a second there," Said Valin jokingly. He the attempted to answer all these questions for her, "I wouldn't call them 'toys', most serve important purposes in my galaxy. Very few are toys for children. I can't make one - I don't have the talent or the parts right now. I have two droids - HK-47 and my astromech Wrench. HK-47 is rust red and Wrench is base white and green trim. They vary in sizes - from as large as a starship to the size of a small rodent. Some droids can look just-like humans or completely different. And yes, you can see HK-47 or Wrench whenever you would like."
He smiled at her, "Don't worry. I imagine that having never seen droids before, you would be pretty excited at the idea."
Valin felt Red's rather sudden anger. It was KenoTao wasn't? The same one User hated. He sent a slight 'poke' in the Force, a little wave that could be read as 'Anger isn't going to help you'.

"You have your methods Valin and I have mine." She wasn't defending herself, but her voice was unnaturally distant. Truth be told she had long since lost herself to her thoughts. She wasn't even mentally present with them, her consciousness having long since abandoned them to each other, making her voice almost mechanical. Yet at the same time, her body was as alert as ever. Her ears were still perky, waiting for the lightest sound to catch. Her tail was flicking back and forth like a cracking whip, discouraging any ideas of disturbing her.
Wherever she was and whatever she was thinking she didn't really want to be lectured. Not because she was afraid of being persuaded but because she would be just as successful at defending her point. Stalemates pretty much meant both parties were better off quiet.
Her nose caught the scent of the drink Aasritha had grabbed long before the young girl drank it, but she had said nothing, and whatever happened would be Aasritha's own fault. Only should she reach for another drink would Red stop her. They shared a bed afterall. She wasn't going to be fighting a drunk all night.
