"By the Force, Red!" Valin said with all the happiness that any person would feel when you see a good friend who you haven't gotten to see in faaaar too long. The taller man was on her in a moment, wrapping around his bigs arm around her slender self in what could only be described as a bear hug.

"It's been too long! And I don't know what you just said but I'll learn it later! Oh and there are evil people after me again! It's like being home in my own galaxy again!" He rambled quickly about his recent life activities, not the least unphased that he was being chased by the Sith or the Yuuzhan Vong or whatever - tend to happen a lot with Jedi. Eventually, you just got bored if it wasn't happening.

By now he had put her down, a big silly grin under his goatee, "Now if I had changed, I wouldn't be nearly as interesting now would I?"

Red stiffened the moment she touched her. She did not resist him, not embrace him. She just remained rigid and silent, the hairs on her tail standing on end as though to send out an alert beacon. In the back of her head she could hear something familiar, encouraging her to strike the man.

She was being eaten alive by her obsession and her pain. Inside and outside she was two completely different people. However she did not give in to the taunts. She had nothing to prove right now. Everything could still be 'okay.' Just don't lose your cool. He'll let go. He's letting go. He let go.

"You have an interesting way of showing your satisfaction with life. I'd much rather..." not have to struggle with anyone. She'd much rather be off somewhere reading or sleeping or driving around for no reason just because she could with nothing but her long red locks, her ever so attentive ears, and her loving tail as company. That wasn't her privelege however.

Aasritha walked in and saw Red... among many other strangers. She was a bit confused and very shy, or was it scared? So she slipped back into the shadows. She knew Red would sense her there but still, anything to stay away from others. Red could be trusted. The others were unknown. Why Red called her here she didn't know, but she felt compelled to listen to her. As if part of her belonged to Red. It was all in her head, she supposed, but still. She let out a small fox cry that only Red could hear and turned to leave...
