[[ Perhaps, that sounds logical enough. Lightsaber blades are basically pure energy. The question is how much ki would someone have to use to block or even just touch the blade with little or no harm?
Still, a lot of things in Star Wars never really add up. That cortosis ore is actually a material that be made into weapons or weaved into the building of a blade or sword - which makes the sword perfectly able to fight against a lightsaber as if it was normal sword-vs-sword dueling. ]]

((I always inferred that cortosis ore had a property that disrupted the flow of energy. Thus it would be ideal defending against Lightsaber scarring on the metal. Interweaving into weapons like Vibroblades only makes sense.
I also remember reading an eye witness book talking about the composition of Lightsabers being that their blades were basically radiation cast by energy being passed through their crystals . The Blade length and shape are affected by secondary crystals and focusing lens apparatus. But I'll admit my knowledge of such things is limited. Aren't lightsabers also deflected by objects with concentrated electrical charges?))

The doors of Orion suddenly flung open, a massive kick from Valin Lobel's right boot opened them up with extreme force, but far from destructive force. It was flashy and strange - perfect in Valin's eyes. He wanted to keep these people on their toes, expecting the unexpected. Yes, Valin thought himself very witty and such.
"Howdy!" He shouted loudly into the club, "I'm bored!"
Silence. The club was dead. As per usual.
"By the Sith, is no one ever here!?" He said loudly, but not yelling loud like before. He gave a sigh of boredom and frustration. He wasn't looking to be alone right now. He was alone most of the time... well, the droids were always around but they weren't humans. You could only listen to HK-47 chatter so much before you shut him off. However, a big idea popped into the thick skull of the Corellian Jedi Knight.
"Hey! At least the alcohol is all mine," He said aloud, now slightly happier with his situation.
