Karuto's speech was interrupted by a PA Announcement. Really?! Pumpkinds?! What idiot thought that would be a good thing to challenge ninja with?! He was just about to laugh it off when one wrapped itself around Keiko who prompty destroyed it. That set Karuto off. Time to find these things and take them out "I'm getting to work on these pumpkins you guys, I'll meet you later!"

Karuto's persistence was rewarded! He found one. Putting his giant fist through it, he smashed the pumpkin like...well, a pumpkin. Disappearing in a blur of motion he headed for the next area.

Noragnir had just entered the academy when the announcement rang over the speaker sending him at once into a defensive gesture as he moved further inside. His first day out of the academy, and they were already under attack, and he could feel himself smile at that. His father had always said that the thrill of battle ran through his family blood, and this definitely proved it as he entered a room with a few people, and smashed pumpkins. "Looks like I may have missed the party already." He said with a slight smile his eyes hidden behind the darkened lenses of his glasses.
One pumpkin. Sadayo hurried from the residential district to the academy. This was fun, actually. More fun than she thought. Here she could look behind books on the shelves, in supply closets, placed among target dummies, and other training equipment. A thought crossed her, concerning if any pumpkins about could be cleverly "hidden" behind paper targets. ๑๑๑๑As an announcement came through the village's public broadcast system, Hideo's interest were piqued as far as the topic at hand was concerned. At first it didn't sound like anything that required a village wide broadcast, but at that moment Keiko was attacked, and then as if on cue he himself found watched a small puff of smoke at his feet as vines shot out. Pulling a kunai from his leg holster as vines began to wrap around his left side, he cut them quickly before stabbing the pumpkin in the face swiftly. Spinning the kunai and holstering it, the boy sighed. Apparently someone had the ability to summon somewhat sentient pumpkins, and was using it to great advantage. But why? A distraction for Suna's shinobi forces perhaps?
Looking towards Theo and bowing Hideo spoke as he looked towards the exit. "My apologies sir, it seems duty calls." With a shrug at his comment, he rushed out to canvas the village for clues.

Oh thank goodness. Taylor was able to escape. He got off of Horus' back as he continued to search. One more piece of intel to go. Then he was in the money.

Noragnir watched as other ninja's moved in, and out of the academy looking for some of the strange pumpkins. He wanted to help them hunt the strange thing, but he had not yet been given the go ahead by the kage to even train yet. "This is bothersome, but it is foolish to strike, before the iron is hot enough." He said softly repeating one of his others favorite sayings as he took some time to look around the academy again. He may not have many skills at the moment, but he could still swing his hammer.
Noragnir had just entered one of the rooms further in when one of the pumpkins launched themselves at him. "By the gods." He growled jumping away just in time, and swinging the hammer free of it's sling. The heavy maul flew through the air, and smashed the pumpkin into bits minced enough for pie. "Well that wasn't so hard." He said softly kicking the bits of the creature looking for anything useful. "That should at least secure the area for now."
