The little girl patted Cado's hand as he placed her on the counter in thanks, not being a child of mant words. Ren was not really much of a chatter, ever. There were only the few rare moods were she was a talkative little critter, and that was with very few - usually her mother - and when she was on a lot of sugar. Cado had been a victim of one of the moods once or twice, being her shadow most of the time.
The littler girl swung her legs back and forth, remaining silent as she saw the only other person leave the place. She had an answer as to where the owner was too. Ren was rather amused by the fact that he had asked Cado, though. Cado didn't talk unless command - or to her, her ma or her pa.
"Get me some milk in a glass, and chocolate suryup, please?" She asked quietly, tucking her hands under her legs as she swung her feet back and forth. After a moment, she let them still to have her white shoe slip off her feet and fall to the ground witha quiet 'thump' and 'clack'.
"And a spoon." She added as an after thought.
<< Yey! Keno! <3
...And bye bye, Xaith. Shame you couldn't linger.>>

The voices. They were finally starting to get to him. Shut the hell up! That's what he wanted to say to them all, but it would only make their heads run faster. He remembered some scripts he read somewhere that basically said the average mind wasn't trained. Like a monkey it just kept swinging from branch to branch and so inside one's head there was always just a bunch of noise and clutter. How he wished now that there were more cultivated minds. Maybe he'd be better off alone after all. At least then he had peace. That was all he had though.
Losing track of his own monkeys, he hardly noticed he was staring straight at the outside of the doors of Orion. Of all places, why here? Why not? It was home wasn't it? No better place in the world. How long he stared at that door though he didn't even know. Surreal having your body go on auto pilot, but what else was there to do? He didn't control time.
His scarf fluttered as a sharp wind raced by as though to taunt him. He had long since learned to ignore the cold. It was a temporary state of being and could be availed with time if nothing else. He almost lost his hat though. Best to get in before he ended up having to chase it.
The doors opened about as silently as they usually do. He could feel the cold front run in from behind him to beat him to the bar. Personally he didn't care, but it would have been nice if the warm air could have blown out. The three clicks of his shoes were all the sound he made as he came to a halt just a few steps in. The doors closed of their own will, or maybe his.
To his delight he saw his 'niece' at the bar. Such a joy that young one. Although why she was here alone...no mother or father in sight as of yet. Does that mean she has a personal reason for coming here or did they have a reason for sending her? He smiles behind his scarf as he takes in the other figure.
Big guy. Thick, muscular, blank gaze. He was one of Tali's men no doubt. The princess's escort. Well Keno had nothing to say to him. Shoving his fingerless gloved hands into the pockets of his thick baggy pants he shuffled over, his feet only just lifting off the floor with each step until he came within about two feet of the princess. He didn't speak just yet, but instead merely gazed at her. Strong like her dad. Stubborn too he was sure, but still as sweet and adorable as her mom.

As obedient as one person can be, Cado unfolds his hands and turns, making a beeline for the open end of the bar counter. Ren was rather smart to ask for the fixings of chocolate milk rather than chocolate milk itself; Cado would've given her a look of confusion. That's not why the Emperor hired him.
Luckily, finding a glass and the refrigerator isn't a difficult task. With the ornate cup looking a lot like a shotglass in his hand, Cado sets it down to Ren's left. He then finds the silverware drawer, setting a slender spoon right next to the glass. His long stride carrying him to the fridge in a single step, he tugs the door open and gives a quick gander before removing the milk. A twist of one hand removing the milk, a half-turn to reach over and fill the glass, and he returns the carton to its former place. Finally digging into another cabinet, the huge man looking rather odd in his current position, he finds and takes the chocolate syrup that the princess requested, which he likewise sets down next to her.
His task finished, he retakes his previous stance, but this time stays behind the counter. As yet another man enters, the tall one sets his eye son him, his head following him as he walks over, until he comes to a stop near Ren. When he does this, Cado takes his eyes away, staring forth again.

Already preoccupied with the supplies for the cholocate milk, Ren didn't glance up the moment Keno walked in the doors. She waited patiently as Cado got the things she requested - the girl knew from experience that it was better to ask for the things to make something, then to ask for it made. Cado lacked the finer details when it came to things.
Small fingers flip open the suryup bottle, plucking it up with two hands to turn it over and squeeze. Putting what was probably too much chocolate into the glass of milk, Ren placed down the bottle just as Keno moved in front of her.
"Hello Uncle Keno."
The little girl greeted him as she picked up the spoon, dropping it into the glass with quiet 'clicks' of metal against glass. She falls silent again as she concentrates on stiring the drink until the chcolate was mostly stirred. Then she scrapped the bottom to collect some of the chocolate and stuck the spoon into her mouth.
Finally looking over at her Uncle, she removed the spoon, now clean of chocolate, from her mouth to let the corners of her lips twitch upwards in a small smile.

"Good evening little one," he answers with a smile, slowly removing the excess decoration from his head to reveal his youthful face. They fall away and vanish before hitting the floor as usual and he pays them no mind at all. He pauses for a moment and realizes that all is silent. The big guy was probably not much on thinking. He was very well trained - almost like an animal it seemed - which for all purposes at the moment worked just fine by him. The child of course, having Tali as a father, could be as silent as a mouse. Thank god there were better telepaths in this place than he.
Slowly he turned and backed toward the bar, lifting himself to sit on a stool beside the child. Gazing out for a moment he looked at the main room. All those tables and all those chairs. Not a soul about these days. A shame. He had half a mind to go recruiting, but he wasn't much of a people person.
"What brings the princess of Orion here all by herself?" If he were to guess, it would have likely been to see her grandfather or uncle, and who knows; they might actually show up. His presence was too lax to ever know if they showed their faces these days. "I'm glad you're here to keep me some company, but home is a long ways away for you. I know there's some reason or another that you chose to return, and alone it seems."
His body seemed to be stiffer than before, as though maybe he learned to relax a little more. He didn't have a desire to keep in motion as he spoke or kept company, but at the same time, accompanied with a hazy stare off into nowhere, one would wonder if he were even listening. Perhaps what he needed was a few months in a large city. He'd have to consider it when the seasons changed.

"I like earth."
The little girl stated, picking up the glass to take a sip. She smacked her lips together a few times, as if juding if the drink was worthy of her liking. It seemed to be fine, as she took a longer drink the second time, lifting the glass a little higher. This time it left a little line on her uppr ip, swiftly licked away by her tongue within a moment of her lwoering the glass.
"Ma was busy, and so was Pa. So Ren brought Cado with her."
The little girl drank more of her chocolate milk, falling silent as she occupied herself with one task only. Not bothering with talking and drinking at the same time. She could do it, if she wanted - however, the lack of a conversational mood didn't have her tap into her telepathic powers.

"So his name is Cado..."
Turning in his seat he took another look at the giant man. Part of him wondered why Tali got such a loud character to safeguard Ren. Perhaps it would have been too cliche to get someone just as powerful but of smaller stature. Then again, maybe that was the point of the size. People were supposed to know that he was big, strong, and wouldn't fall easy except to the strongest of warriors. There would be no mistake in harassing the child with someone that huge walking her around.
But she could take care of herself. From most people anyway. He dismissed the thoughts, bored with them, and nodded to Cado, in an effort to at least acknowledge his presence. He had little interest in the mountain behind him anyway.
"What is it about Earth that you dislike about your parents' home worlds?" He personally couldn't stand earth all that much, but then again it was the only place he had ever lived. Comparatively nothing could be worse...or better. "You'll excuse me being a little dry with my dialogue I hope."

"Ren likes all three places."
Placing the glass down, the little girl dipped her index finger in, before sticking it in ehr mouth to suck on it for a minute. The glass now half empty, she seemed to grow bored of her drink. Ren went back to swinging her legs back and forth, but instead of tucking them under her legs, this time they stroked the black strands with both hands, moving to playing full braid and unbraid the strands.
"But I really only want to have fun,. Which is hard in the other places, since all they want to do is bow and call me princess."
The little girl's nose wrinkled, followed by a sigh. Ren was already older then her age in a lot of ways. Whether it was sad of not was up to the person. In some ways the older logic was better, in others it was bit saddening. Ren simply viewed herself as Ren, and didn't care either way.
"It's hard to have fun when you're a princess."
Looking up from her hair, she smiled cutely in response to the comment about the dry dialogue.
"Ren doesn't mind. I like that you talk to me normally."
