"Don't fly off on me like that again," Elistral panted, her heart slowing somewhat. "I believe that I can walk if I made it over here after the dragon." She glanced over to where the one that had almost knocked her over was, looking sheepish.

"C'mon, let's get you back to my house." Rore said, steering Gorash out of the still-marked circle on the ground and into the crowd. He saw him nod a tiny bit and took that as a yes. Many of the guards he'd fought with had been hovering near the tents and fell into step behind the pair, muttering about the battle and their families.

"Well then here, i'll make up for it. I'd rather not see you hurt your stomach anymore either. Brace yourself." Demios kneeled down a it beside Elistral, placing one arm behind her knees and brought his arm up, lifting Elistral off the ground, placing his other arm around his shoulders. "Come on, let's have the healers look at you."

"I'll go with you. It's been a while since i've seen your family." Jake flashed onto Rore's shoulders, resting his head on Rore's "Ahhh, best seat in town."

((Say, when are we officially going to end this? It's almost to the goal of 32/33 pages like the 1st one. XD))

"Thank you." Elistral made sure that her sword was sheathed and angled downwards so as to not trip Demios up by accident. "Though I suppose...it was partly my fault for not slowing in the first place."

"I hope you mean that for later; they evacuated too, remember?" Rore said to Jake. He tried not to notice all of the corpses on the ground, or the smell of them either. There'd be so many graves to fill and so much smoke in the air from the pyres for their fallen enemies. "You may want to duck, Jake." He mentioned, opening the door and letting everyone else go in before him.

((Just a few more posts. Gotta lead up to a prelude.))

"It's because your as stubborn as your dad. You need to learn your limits." Demios nuzzled his head against hers. He then proceeded to turn and take Elistral towards the healing tent.

Instead of ducking Jake just teleported to a small stool and stretched. "Mmmmm, this place always was pretty cozy. I could take a nap here any day."

((Okay. I think I call dibs on making the topic post in HTF, if it's okay with you, but we can take turns making the posts before the start, like the rules and such.))

"I know." Elistral mumbled before falling into unconsciousness, deciding that it would be the best time to do so.

" 'Should've seen that coming." Rore heard Gorash chuckle. He left the front door open, there was no point in closing it either way. Gorash went off to a separate room as he glanced around the room at the gathering, setting his sword to lean against the wall. "Alright, head count." He sighed as the hands went up, hoping to see more. "34 out of 50..." "At least it's more than I expected. he thought somewhat grimly. "We won, however. Their lives were not lost in vain."

Demios smiled at Elistral as he set her down on the small bed for wounded soldiers. He lifted back her hair and kissed her forehead before leaving so the healers could work on her. He stepped over to Strider's bed and sat in an empty chair beside Sylvia.

"How is she?" She said, looking over at Elistral.

"She'll be alright, she's stubborn like her dad." Demios chuckled as he looked at Strider who was obviously thinking hard. "Concerned?"

"Yes. Seeing Eon is alive has shook me. I watched him die in front of me. Now where is Fenrir? I have a lot to talk to him about." Strider had only looked up for a moment before returning to his thoughts, proping his head up with his hand.

Jake just sat there as Rore spoke, a feeling of saddness filling him. They hadn't lost too many but each loss was family.

(( 'Guess that's a yes.))

Rore let a small moment of silence settle over the group before clearing his throat, wincing at the sudden harshness. "Later we'll mourn. But for now we need to take care of what's in front of us." He waited until they'd stopped shuffling and continued. "Our dead will be found and places north of Salim, so that they can be named before we bury them. We'll find a place later. Our enemies...depending on what they are...they'll be burned on pyres south of the town, so that the winds will carry the smoke away. They would've done much worse to our bodies."

"Vlad, what're you doing in here?" Gorash had been in the middle on yanking off his boots when he noticed the familiar dark shape on the floor. After a long inner debate, he'd decided to take his armor off instead of keeping it on. As much as he would feel naked without it, though he was wearing a dark green shirt and dark pants underneath, he'd gotten used to it's weight.

"I was trying to catch a few z's." Fenrir explained with a toothy yawn. His shoulders popped as he stretched. "And don't call me that, it's not my name and you don't need to call me it anymore."

"Uh...okay. Then what--?" He blinked. Fenrir had already disappeared right in front of him, and he hadn't even noticed immediately. He continued to set his armor aside, wondering what he'd call him from then on. He'd only known him by one name, after all.

"Hm?" Fenrir blinked somewhat sleepily, his large yellow eyes glazed a bit. "Hey Sylv, Dem. What's up, Strider?"

"Fenrir? What would you need him for?" Demios was surprised as Fenrir appeared before them, still a wolf.

"That’s because Fenrir is the descendant of the one who killed Eon. Kain, Sophia, and I made his family what they are. We made them especially to kill an immortal and Fenrir's grand-mother was the first. The great Sonya Fen as I knew her and Ghostpaw to the dragons." Strider said matter-of-factly.

Demios blinked a few times in shock. "I had heard old wives tales of Ghostpaw but I never thought they were true."

"Yes, the story is true. Long ago when Eon was near victory Sophia, Kain, and myself went to the last untouched woods of this world, deep in the mountains on a separate continent and used the forest to nurture the first of what is today known as the Sire wolves. The first and strongest of these was Sonya Fen, for these wolves had the gift of speech and chose their own names. But we had made the wolves for one purpose, to kill immortal beings. Eon was the one true immortal dragon and we were unable to end him in any way. Also it was Eon who erased the name now that I remember. But when Sonya seemed ready to fulfill the wolf clan's purpose we took her to the front, just in time as well. As the stories say she ran with the speed of the wind and moved through the line of dragons like a ghost, unseen. She leapt up wielding a spear and thrust it into Eon's heart, felling him in one hit. The spear was my brother Kain's. But that leads me to my question to Fenrir, did your grand-mother ever say anything to the contrary of Eon dying?" Strider had turned his attention back to Fenrir.

"She never talked about the past too often," Fenrir yawned again as he laid down, setting his head on his paws, half in and half out of the tent. "But she mentioned that story once or twice, at Christmas time. All she remembers was a flash of light, and she was back in the forest she'd been in before being taken to the fight by you guys. Not much help, you'd probably have to ask the big guy himself."

"I wish I would have now but I was too worried about freeing Gorash and getting him out of here that I hadn't thought of it." Strider was thinking hard now.

"Don't worry about it too much," Fenrir chuckled at Strider's expression. "You can think about it later, shouldn't you be resting?"

((Yay last post.))

Strider scowled, knowing Fenrir was right. He was about to agree when off in the distance a horn call was heard. "Ah, the towns people have arrived."

Off near the southern gate gaurds scrambbled to get the gate open as the people of Salim came up the road lead by soldiers. As the gates swung open guards met family and children and mothers cried for joy. Finally it was all over. But far off in a place ineccessible by the living people were watching the happy sight, unammused."We send wave after wave of misfortune and still no success.

"Brother has proven to be a worthy adverssary as always I guess."

"Yeah but even he should have limits. Even mortal he continues to fight."

"Brothers, sisters, do not argue. The revival of Eon shall surely defeat him. No god, mortal or immortal can harm him. Despite what he says even Azeois fears a return of Eon, burning eyes and cinder scales. Let's just sit back and watch the spraks fly. Just like we always have."

"Yes brother." All of the other five left, happy with his answer, leaving the one alone.

He stood up from his marble white throne and walked down the short steps of stone leading down towards the seeing mirror on the floor. "How long has it been brother, that we be set under the boot of your rules? You were always the one who kept the power from us, safegaurding it, keeping it for your own. Not anymore, we'll find it. Even if we have to destroy you and everything you know. Isn't that right? Malgeor?"

Mal took a step outside of the shados, smiling wickedly. "Of course Desdion."
