"I knew it wasn't a good idea to show that man to Ayaka. This is your fault Duncan. I don't know what kind of sick game you are playing but from this point on I am not going to let anything more harm her." Hiro said as his voice seemed to growl slightly. "If you need anything then I will do it. Leave Ayaka out of it."

"Hiro." Ayaka said looking up at him, "Don't leave me out." She frowned, "You can't leave me out." There was an urgency to her faltering voice. "This has gotten too far out of hand. It is my home too!" Ayaka said shaking her head tiredly. Her skin was still pale, but quickly warming up to a red flush. She felt warm all over. She looked at Duncan. "What is the information you are looking for now?" she asked watching him. She had a fear of being left behind and forgotten. She struggled to speak, and to make herself a part of the investigation. Hiro would not keep her back.

"A-as you wish sister. I am yours to command even though it pains me to see you hurt so." Hiro said bowing at the hip in subservience. "I apologize for over stepping my bounds. Please punish me as you see fit."
Duncan raised his eyebrow as he asked again. "Ayaka please show me where the dagger in question was being held before the murderer got hold of it. Duncan asked feeling he was being left out of something but not really sure.

Luna nodded. "Yeah i agree. but we can't let them go until they come back." she sighed. She wanted them gone asap, the sooner the better.

Ayaka nodded, "Where is the dagger brother?" She asked softly. "Is it back in the case, or is it near Athrun?" Her voice had a muted tone to it. Traces of the pain she had felt before still were triggering around her body. She felt completely exhausted. She looked at her brother and smiled. "I am sorry Hiro, I just can't let our people down. Even if it hurts I must do what ever I can to help them, even if it means putting myself last."
Neko nodded, "And the one is not yet fit for travel, that may be a few days still, even with the medicine I have provided. Daniel sure did a number on him."

"I left it it in Daniel's hand hoping no one would touch it and so as not to disturb evidence." Hiro said surprised Ayaka asked. "As for where it was before the murder we have a room in the temple that we keep the artifact of the town."
"I see...and you lock these artifacts of yours? If so How did the man get the dagger? Did he pick the lock?" Duncan asked his interest piqued.

Neko checked on her patients again before joining Luna where she sat. "What do you think they are doing? I thought I heard some screaming earlier..." The woman asked contemplating the thought.
Ayaka shook her head, "I cannot recall who was suppose to clean the sacred daggers, and I suppose he could have unlocked it, but again I am just not really sure." Ayaka bowed her head, "Our information is limited."

"Alright then let me see where they were kept to see if we can get some fingerprints on the lock." Duncan said as he waited patiently to be lead.
Hiro's face went white as he thought about the first victim. Was Daniel even among the visitors when the first victim was discovered?
"Before we go I should tell you there was another victim earlier. They were murdered inside the temple the daggers were held in." Hiro said as calmly as he could. The possibility of a second murder seemed very real at this point to him.
"The what? Why the hell didn't you tell me this sooner?" Duncan said grabbing Hiro's shirt tightly and pulling him to look him eye to eye.

"With recent events even a death can be forgotten." Ayaka said softly. "That kind of action is not necessary sir. I believe it is against your job here. Please release my brother. There was another death earlier, and a person who was wounded. He is still with our medicine woman. You met her back when you first drove up. That is where the wounded man is." Ayaka spoke calmly.
"And also keep in mind that recently we have had people handling the lock, so you will find many finger prints on it. I thought you said you were on our side sir." Ayaka said with a slight tilt of her head.

"I apologize. I know this has been hard on all of you but I atill have to make this look like a real investigation. If the evidence should point out to someone that lives here or somehow the ceremony did not quell the spirits then I need to know everything so we can set the blame on the visitors. Failure to protect this place is not an option." Duncan said as he unhanded Hiro's shirt. "The wounded person...has he been able to testify about the attacker yet?"

Ayaka shook her head. "I do not think he remembers much. When he was found he was in pretty bad shape." Ayaka explained. "Thank you Mr. Duncan." She said with a nod of her head. "But would you manhandle the people you are working with in a normal investigation?" Ayaka inquired softly.

"No of course not...I apologize but this is the first time I have been called for damage control and not knowing all teh facts I am scared of failing your mother. She is a great woman and I don't want to fail her." Duncan said admonished. "Please forgive me Miss Ayaka and you needn't add Mr to my name just Duncan is fine away from the others."
"No harm no foul." Hiro said straightening his shirt. "Let us not waste any more time now."
