I don't know what it's called, but it's like some kind of clarinet, that is basically like an oval of silver and it's crazy. I saw it at Baylor band camp and they called it The Paperclip XD.

Clarinets and Trumpets. (Our clarinet section sucks in attitude and most in playing.)

Well, we had this one formation in marching band made out of flutes and clarinets and it was called the snake because the clarinets had to curve the line going behind the flutes backwards. (I was in the part that had to curve.) It kinda ended up looking like a sideways U...Well anyways, at the tempo we were going at, it was very hard to not have the person in front of you run over you or to keep yourself from running over the person behind you. We fell many times attempting that formation...One resulting in a domino effect XD.

Uhm....I don't think either of my parents were in band. But my dad's a piano technician and my mom was a music therapist.

Uh...if there were any I can't remember. The only one would be his nickname, which was given to him the year before I joined band. Mojo. Like Mojojojo from the Powerpuff Girls.

Region Band, Pep band, and next year I'll be playing in my church choir.

I...don't think there's any room. Maybe on the bell, but my father would kill me. Only a mysterious scratch on a key that was there when I got the instrument, and a few scratches under the name at the top.
15. (that reminds me) How many dents are in your instrument?
The bell of my clarinet has a ring of very soft metal around the bottom (as all clarinets do), and it likes to be mean and not stay even, so when I put in on the floor standing up it tips over and I have to catch it before it hits the concrete wall. So lots of dents in the bell, but I think that's it.
16.Do you look good while you play your instrument?
I don't know how good you can look while playing a clarinet. ^^;;
17. Best compliment for your playing?
My elementary school band teacher was giving a lesson to some 4th graders on my last day of 6th grade, and when I walked in he introduced me as the best musician in the whole band.
18. Weirdest instrument you've ever seen?
This amazing electric violin I saw on a website. It was in the shape of the G clef symbol. So amazing.
19.Tap your foot?
I used to a lot, now I sit right by the BD so I can hear him hitting the music stand with his drumstick. And our base drum player can keep good time.
20.Least liked section?
Percussion. They're so obnoxious, whoever isn't playing sits in the back of the room and talks while we practice.

We've got a schedule, so my clarinet groups are usually every Thursday and it's a different periods of the day.

I hate the second clarinets in our section. They can barely read music, let alone even play in the upper register.

I'm in GATE, so I'm already classified as one of the nerdy smart kids, but I think I'm a band geek too.

If it needs cork grease, 4 minutes at the most. If it doesn't need cork grease, I'd say 45 seconds tops.

I usually take home my clarinet on the weekends and practice, but now I'll have to take it back and forth every day if I want to make Region Band this year.

Last year one of my best friends was in band, and I made some new friends, and this year another one of my best friends is in band. Woot!

I used to use Vandoren reeds but when I moved up to a 3 I just started buying them from my teacher. I think they're Rico Golden or something. As for cork grease, I just use the generic kind you buy at the music store in the cleaning kits. The white tube with the yellow cap. I miss the King brand, though, it smelled like rootbeer floats. xD

Well, there aren't many dents, but there are plenty of scratches, there's a giant white spot on one of the keys where someone left their drink and the water soaked up the color ;D But i've *accidently* marked it with the but of my sticks when i have to practice quietly

Last year, i wa sthe yougnest vibe player, and we had a new druminstructor. His name was Colin(ily, colin xD). And we all loved Colin. But he kept telling me to play something by myself, and he would say something like "You see, all you upperclassmen need to have that sticking and the right hights perfect by the end of the season."
He was always complimenting me and telling me good job and stuffs. He sayed i was his favorite vibe player, and he played vibes for the Cadets, so he said i would become as good as him one day 3nodding I still talk to Colin on myspace lol
18. Weirdest instrument you've ever seen?
It was a cymbal, but it wasn't round. It was triangular, and it was like twisted where it was placed on the stand, and it had like one side silver and one side black. The stick was just a regular stick. Like a twig from a tree >:O

Duh. Who doesn't? But the second drum instructor we had come in last year to fill in for Colin yelled at us cause we did. He said "Stop! THat'll mess you up! I don't care what Colin says, STFU!" His name was AJ. Noone really liked him...

No offense guard people, but the Guard section. All of our guard girls are temper-mental, sluts, bitchy, etc. Only about nine of them are nice and non-sluts. About five of them switched back to their regular instruments because they didn't like it. But they're all really good, they just have people problems.

Nope. I might get lesson from a previous senior this year so that i can try out for snare next year, but that's about it.

I practice and I guess talented. i got 1st chair on flute, until i switched to trumpet, but i kept practicing on trumpet and eventually got first chair. So, I'm talented on flute, but I had to practice on trumpet to get first.

I've never had personal lessons (which surprised my BD) but marching band is every Tuesday and Thursday, 6-9.

Concert - A 1980's looking dress (big puffy shoulders included) that's black velvot on the top and a purple skirt bottom. It's very itchy. >.<
Marching band - Black suspender pants and jacket. The left arm and upper chest is purple with a white stripe under it. Oh, and 3 musketeers-like hats. It's badass

Oh god... Dont get me started... Marching, I havent seen the concert uniform yet but im scared i saw the marching one though cause they made me try it on. Black overalls that if you pull on the front of the they give you a wedgy.(They ticked me into do that) A white short sleave button up in the back shirt that is striped with black and red. White gloves and black shoes. THe winter uniform is just like that just with long sleaves.

Band friends.
Like I have a base of fangirls at the high school because I'm awesome. Hannah is one of them and she's awesome!

I hope not. I'm not sure.
29. Concert/Marching Band attire?
Marching: no clue, we havent gotten uniforms yet.
Concert: Me and my group of friends are gonna all dress up alike and then me and Brooks (best middle school percussionist ever, as far as I know) are gonna bring fedoras for all of us to wear. (I hope we have enough... he has two, and I have 6... let's see who's gonna be wearing them...
Kendall, Becca, me, Brooks, Matt, Erik, probably Meagan.... ok we have enough.)

Awesome when he's happy, scary (in the silent but deadly way) when hes mad.

In marching band 5. There's more in concert but I don't remember.

Mine's something random I don't know. I still love it muchly!

Fiesta Bahia in jazz band. HARD!

yeah but theres different groups of the band geek family.

No. just a bunch of spots, dents, and scratches.

The scratches and dents appear out of nowhere. I don't really know or remember where I got most of them.

I was told I had really nice classical sax sound...

The Bass saxophone definitely.

yeah. but its more my toes inside my shoe now because a couple of years ago we played this song where there was a measure where it was complete silence and all you heard was feet tapping. My bd was like, you guys have to stop.

Either the drummers or low brass.

At school. I wish I had private lessons...
