Like I said, too damn curious for my own good. With a movement too fast to be visible to the average human eye, Kythe seems to suddenly appear five feet behind his previous position, eyeing the tendril with caution, and a lot less curiosity.
What is this guy, a demonic furnace!? Kythe charges the small cooling aura to a temperature opposite of, but with an absolute value equal to that of the dark tendril of heat, and--while backing up at a quick, but not as quick as previous speed--sends it floating in a small, glowing ball towards the pursuing tendril.
Opposites cancel each other out, right? Shesh, if I hadn't trained myself for harsh temperatures, I may have just frozen my hand off...
.....'Seems the man's smarter than he looks,' voices the entity invading Damion's dreams once more. And with that, the tendril would disperse after extending some mere two feet in pursuit of the fleeing individual.
.....'As for you, my dear Damion...' His voice was coldly calculative, and wrapped the soul of his host in an icy fist. 'I believe you and I have some introductions to make.' He smiled; his smile was hideously fear-inspiring, and Damion could only watch, stricken dumb, mute, and motionless as his own mind induced more and more fear for his numb body.
.....The smile widened.
.....Damion let out a scream of pain as his body writhed, while on the outside, he lay as if in a peaceful trance.

Just... so many God-damned things going on... she got my iPod - a big black video one - lost and I'm trying to hide that fact from my parents until the three of us - me, her, and the friend of ours who wanted her to hold it that day so the two of them could watch South Park during study hall - along with me and this damned Spring Break thing going on - I'm a truly depressed soul in real life, but I shan't go into the sob story and at the same time save myself the effort and you the pain of hearing it - and also getting into yet another fight with my family this morning and ending up being punched in the jaw by my father. To say the least, it's not been a good day.[+]

((Well, I know how the whole girl problems thing goes, at least. The rest, I haven't had to endure, but I know how at least one thing feels. I just wish you didn't have to go through it. Nobody should have to, honestly.))

Hm... peculiar. Well, so much for that... Kythe waves a hand as if dismissing someone, and his cold energy orb disperses as well. Turning to enter the bar-area and face the new entrant, Kythe un-tenses his muscles, which had him instinctively alert.
