.....Approximately forty-eight hours ago: Damion was walking through the forest, burning his way along the man-made path he'd found 'pon his awakening.
.....Approximately thirty-six hours ago: Damion was still quite full of his unnatural hatred for the world, the galaxy, and the universe, and was still happily burning away.
.....Approximately twenty-four hours ago: The demon embedded within Damion's soul, its essence wholly unknown to Damion, was now pushing Damion to the edge for reserves, forcing him to walk on and on while still pouring out energy in the form of the chaotic black flames. Birds had dropped dead from the sky while mid-flight, caught by the intense heat waves radiating. Trees had collapsed after being consumed by the unholy flames. Small critters had been taken by Death as offspring flames raged through the forest. And still, Damion walked on.
.....Approximately twelve hours ago: Finally, at about a quarter of a mile from the establishment Fate had been pulling him towards all along, the energy had taken its full toll upon Damion's still-human body, and he had collapsed. Through his sheer will, he had kept himself at bay against the tides of unconsciousness that were threatening to overtake him, and he clambered onwards through the brush which no longer burned before his eyes.
.....Approximately six hours ago: Damion had been forced to stop due to absolute exhaustion. Crawling up within the boughs of a large three with a few low branches, he had hung himself up in the limbs and fallen into a deep sleep.
.....Approximately two hours ago: Still spiritually wasted and now only partially physically replenished, Damion had awoken for reasons unknown to him. He attempted to return to sleep, but to no avail; something kept him awake. He had removed himself from his makeshift bed and continued on.
.....Now: Just barely standing outside two twin doors of what seemed monumental height, Damion's eyes wavered within their separate sockets as he faced delirium. His knees bent, he collapsed and crawled 'pon knees and hands. He could barely muster up enough energy to knock loud enough, and so finding that task unfitting, his last of physical energy was used in order that he may create a loud enough sound to grab the attention of someone within. Throwing his right shoulder against the door with all his bodily weight, pain lanced into his body and he fell into unconsciousness, welcoming it.
.....His body was covered in dirt and grime and dust and sweat, and he reeked of days of travel. His clothes were torn and tattered and had been long ago reduced to rags.
