A very mischievous grin spread on Keno's face somewhere behind the scarf, but that gleam in his eyes was unmistakable. What Valin said struck a certain something in his head.
"Are you suggesting that if he dies, his evil will spread throughout the Milky Way? If you answer yes, then are you further suggesting that all of his minions are currently here on Earth?" He really hoped the answer would be yes. Who would dare say purging evil was a bad move. Not completely good probably, but certainly not bad. He certainly didn't need some mastermind manipulating his ball of dirt. The Earth was screwed up enough as it is and he hated it. He certainly didn't want to hold a grudge against the entire planet.
"What good would it do him to offer us power we already have? It would only end up with him as a corpse I'm sure to try such a ridiculous underhanded scheme."

He certainly didn't seem happy by this at all. Dark Lords of the Sith were very adept at hiding themselves from the Jedi and Valin's inability to know where Felder was... he just didn't like it. All he knew was that Felder was no where near this planet.
"The Dark Side is a path to many powerful abilities... abilities that can rip apart whole worlds or drain the life force of all beings on a planet or corrupt living beings by Sith Alchemy. Those are just some of the more powerful abilities I've learned of in my studies of the Sith Holocrons. And maybe he can't entice you - but there are always those who will choose the low road. However, I've only seen his minions twice - once they attacked me once and they attacked User."
He paused thinking, "He's not going to send anymore for a while... he's made his point to me. And that's what matter."

He'd do much worse than an army of them. He almost wished they would come to him.
"Their abilities and tactics don't bother me. I myself will be fine. Like I said though, and like User is sure to have mentioned before, not everyone we care for is as capable. If you want to take care of things your way, stay away from u-...them." He wasn't trying to be cold, but if it was reason Valin wanted to argue, reason he should by right receive.

He had thought this for a long time now... and KenoTao was right - who was he to bring this war to Earth?
Valin was also use to discrimination and mistrust agains the Jedi. During the Yuuzhan Vong, the Vong declared that any world who gave up Jedi to them would be spared. They were lying, of course, but many worlds had turned in many Jedi... or worse, they turned in people who they merely thought were Jedi. Many Jedi died... many more innocents died because they were thought to be Jedi. For a time, the galaxy was more than willing to give them up as sacrifice.
The galaxy at large didn't understand the Jedi. And that which they didn't understand, they feared and didn't trust. A lot of this fear came from the Galactic Empire under Palpatine - who basically said that the Jedi tried to overthrow the Old Republic and had been looking to take the power away from the people. For decades he told his lies of the 'evil Jedi'. Even with Master Skywalker - hero of the Rebel Alliance - forming a New Jedi Order, early growing pains had left a bad public image.
So, he was used to not being trusted or even liked.
"Well, I'm sorry... I can't leave. My ship is still unable to take off. And I costumized the thing so bad that I don't even know how to fix it. I'd take this elsewhere..."
"Shut up," User said loudly to Valin. Which did cause the human to shut his mouth. Good, he talked too much.
"How many wars have we brought with us KenoTao? Are you suggesting we turn him away because of this? Jade brought Caine here, should we force her to leave, as well? How about Deity and his brother?" He chuckled then that trademarked grin of his appeared, "Now now, KenoTao, are you going to ask them to leave for bringing their problems here? He may bring war with him - but it is nice to flex the muscles against some fools who think they could take us. Cooler could visit any moment, as well, maybe I should leave. We've all brought out problems to Earth. And this damned rock is still here, isn't it?"
He wasn't really arguing for the Jedi so much as he was arguing against KenoTao.
But he saved the best for last, "Maybe we should be rid of you - you destroyed that city recently. Thus far, you have proven a greater threat than these 'Sith'."

Keno merely looked at User. His composure didn't change and he didn't try to intimidate the simple boy. He merely gazed at him as he spoke to be sure that he answered as honestly as possible.
"I did not tell him to leave and fight this war alone. I told him if he intended for this fight to go his way, he could only do it by staying away. By all means I intend for him to stay but just as he wishes us to understand the Force, he must understand that we don't live by those rules and will act as we always have against anything that has come our way. We respect each other, but we also protect one another and we won't sit idly by while a bunch of power hungry lunatics try and have their way with our home.
"Jade brought Caine, but Caine has not come after anyone we have cared for yet, even if he threatens to. He may boast of his power all he wants, but he's not used it once to cross me. Deity is unique in that this is his home first and not ours. Rather than leave us, we would have to leave him, but Taliman has no interest in us now does he?
"As far as Cooler is concerned...what are you holding on to so tightly that you won't go and take care of that right now? Sabrina has more than enough people to take care of her and you know it." This last one was not targeted only to User, but the Saiya-jin was the only one at the moment he could say anything to about it. As he had told Unks long ago, everyone was writing their final chapters, but they were prolonging the ending. He wanted them to be able to move on. All that growth for no reason was a waste all in all.
"If you wish to touch on my case particularly, try if you can, but I daresay you will understand me less than you do the Jedi and Sith. There aren't enough words to explain which side of the fence I stand on. I do not threaten the Earth, I threaten certain Earthlings with what most would consider a superiority complex of sorts. I've no shame in admitting, but maybe you should watch more TV."
The silence that ensued was thick. It felt as though he had put all the sound in a ziploc bag and sealed it closed. His voice didn't even change pitch as he spoke; something else he had been working on. He was becoming very vague, but much more defined at the same time, but he was far from perfected. "We all have wars, but the trick to doing things our own way is to not involve others."

The Jedi merely sighed. He hadn't meant for all this - Felder had. All this pent up anger, all this darkness. Valin just knew that the crazed Dark Lord was very pleased by this.
"Don't worry about the Sith Lord. I know his attacks against others are done for now. He knows he can't fight against the beings of Orion and he doesn't wish to cause too big a disruption to earn anyone else's attention. He wants me and only me right now. His quest to rule the galaxy, to form a new Sith Empire - that's all on the backburner for him until he gets his revenge. Forget about him - by thinking about him, by worrying about him, by fearing him: we serve only to empower him."
"Did I touch a nerve, KenoTao the Infallible?" User said with a chuckle as he began to circle around KenoTao. It was like a predator stalking its prey - and in the Saiya-jin's eyes, the 'great' KenoTao had always been prey. Tricky prey, but prey nonetheless.
"You're right about me prolonging what must be done - but I do so not because I am afriad of Cooler but because I am afriad of myself, that perhaps I am still not yet strong enough. Perhaps... I am afriad of having nothing to strive for and nothing to fight against," Commented the Saiya-jin. He had come to terms with his fears and knew that by acknowledging them, he only made himself stronger, "In due time, when I believe I am ready and truely strong enough - Cooler and his empire will be destroyed."
"And how many will your superiority complex kill, KenoTao? Thousands? Millions? Billions? Are you trying to fill a void in your life? Perhaps... the void of a loved one long dead?" The look in his eyes showed that User was all business now, pulling out all the stops to get at his rival. User knew that feeling all too well - but KenoTao was a everlasting mystery and whether this comment would affect him to any extent was to be seen.
But User wanted KenoTao to feel remorse, to feel anger. And most of all he wanted KenoTao to hurt - physically and emotionally. The Saiya-jin Prince wanted nothing more than to see KenoTao collaspe in on himself like a great star going supernova. THAT would be so much more pleasing than taking his life.

Again he merely watched his rival, stalking his mind rather than his body. It wasn't that hard to figure out. Something like this was about a year late though. Keno was doing more than physical training on his vacations. He would have shown mild irritation just to humor User, but decided not to. Besides, he got just as much pleasure in getting to User as the Saiya-jin had getting to him. If ever he could upset the monkey, then he would jump for the chance so long as he could.
"Though I admit I likely would not have walked this path were it not for the death of my sister, these acts of mine aren't vengeance as I've led you to believe until now. I want to purify this land and bring innocence to fruition once again. I see no problem with destroying evil with evil. Besides the road to evil is paved with good deeds. You'd better fear the one who doesn't sin sooner than the one who does. You know what I mean because we have one such within this very club.
"That said, who knows how many I'll kill. For now, no more, but when I start again will it be more than a thousand? Less than a hundred? Will I miss and hit a poor little girl? Can't tell you I'm sorry. I intend to destroy as many as it takes.
Oh, and if you're that afraid to fight after all of this time, then take me on before I perfect myself. If I am able to get all the kinks out of my system before too long, then the amount of training I will be able to undergo will have me surpass you far greater than ever before. You wouldn't stand a chance against me then. In fact, if you wait that long, maybe I'll take care of Cooler myself. At least it'll be done."

In their argument with one another, neither men had not noticed the Jedi had lefted. Or paid it no mind. Valin had nothing more to say and the matter had become a private one between KenoTao and User. He had no reason to be around for it.
User either didn't care or was having too much fun. The Prince grinned, "Perhaps I shall take you up on that battle one day, KenoTao."
He stopped his stalking movements, "Either way, whatever you do, kill the humans or whatever - I care not - know that you are pushing the others away. Especially Jade. Is that worth it? Will you also destroy everything you've ever had with your 'friends'... or the one you see as a sister? How about girl Ichigo? What does she think about this? Doe she know who you really are?"
The Saiya-jin chuckled evilly, "As you are now - you would have made a decent warrior of my people. You forsake everything for power."

He was growing quite bored, but who better to confide in than User? Jade might get angry with him, and Ichi as well, but User had pure cold logic. Even if he hated the way Keno saw things, he would at least understand it completely.
"The power I'm gaining is just a side effect. What I'm actually going for is control. Control of what is your duty to find out. I don't mind revealing it to you, but I'd rather you just know and leave it be. Whether or not Jade and Ichi understands this is uncertain, but they don't hate me. They were upset yes, but they accept my nature as is. If I truly believed I was destroying something, especially the bonds I worked so long to establish, believe I would give it up and just hope whatever power this is that I have doesn't decide to just lash out and harm them."
It seemed so elementary to him, but how to explain it...
"Would you become a Legendary Super Saiya-jin around your daughter if you couldn't guarantee her life in the end? It's basically the same thing to me. Though I suppose whether you would explain it to her or not I cannot say."
