::Unks laughed lightly at all of Keno's questions. He waited for Keno to stop asking his questions before he took another long sip from his bottle. He cleared his throat and closed his eyes thinking how to explain it easily::
"Well I don't need help with it really it is more of controling it. It is telekenesis fighting. I focus my mind powers on my entire body, when the energy is completely covering my body I can attack from a long distance with my mind and still do the same amount of damage as if I was up close."

He sat in thought for a moment, trying to illustrate the explanation offered to him. It made only just enough sense, but only abstractly.
"So it's like using a psychic mech suit then. Your energy extends from your limbs and attacks your opponent from a distance, giving you the advantage of distance combat without the upsets of a time delay or precision errors." He wondered exactly what that was fully capable of. Assuming the energy was invisible it would only work for a few moment before he'd have to resort to another tactic. Most people in the Orion adapted quickly so he'd have to constantly switch that skill on and off to make much use of it.
That is to say, assuming he didn't dominate his foe, in which case he could leave it on and just pummel his opponent.

"Yeah to put it simply it is like a mech suit."
::Unks finished off his soda as he looked at Keno. He leaned back in his seat once more as he disposed of the bottle with his mind. He continued to look at Keno as he thought of the different uses his new skill can come in handy for::

"Defense is likely a better function than offense. Being able to hold things at bay without having to block or deflect with your own body means less injury, but the sacrifice is obviously the amount of ki you have left to use in battle..." He was again tearing the technique down from the bottom up, observing what might counter it or completely overpower it. Close range seemed the obvious choice, but the reach of the technique was likely determined by the opponent's distance from Unks, which would mean the only time he wouldn't use it is when his own arms and legs were more practical; and for that the enemy would have to be very close. It made more sense then that the attack hold off assault rather than try to make use of one.
However as he said before, having the upper hand changed the rules for this particular technique substantially. It was an ingenious piece of work.

"That is the beauty of it Keno, this skill doesn't use ki it uses my psychic ablities. So no ki is involved the only strain it will have is on my mind that is what I am training."
::He watched Keno in thought thinking of the different ways to pick it apart or either respect it, hell it was probly both. Unks put his chair right and laid one arm on the table and sat side ways::

"I see..." he left it at that. Mental over physical or ki power. That changed everything. So Unks was training his mind to make it more difficult to cut the technique off at its root. Not bad at all, but with his mind so preoccupied on that technique, it would be very difficult to keep up with everything else. No matter how quick one's mind could jump around, it could only focus on one thing or another, meaning there would be various points of weakness anytime he had to readjust to the fight, especially when switching from offense to defense.
"Be careful with that technique."

"Thanks Keno I will. I would also ask you to be my first test subject besides a tree, but I am afraid it is a little late to start any match."
::A soft laugh left Unks' lips as he closed his eyes and stretched slightly. He opened his eyes and looked around the empty club then back at Keno. He never gets a chance to sit and talk with anyone like this. It was kinda nice to do so::
"Ya know the club is slowly dying Keno from it's usual excitement. I wonder how long we are all going to live here before we all move on. ."

"Some of the people here I've known for almost four years. Out of the near 33 years of my life, which is only a fraction compared to most, those four years are the longest amount of time I've known anyone outside of my village. The entire time I've known them, they've been preparing for one thing or another. Two sets of siblings still have a battle to the death looming over their heads, my greatest rival and most trusted ally still has an overlord to usurp, and the first person I met on the outside has long since been gone.
"In that entire time many things have changed EXCEPT for the fact that each and every one of them is still looking to finally close the book on those chapters in their lives. Some have moved on in a way. Look at the blossoming romances, the new mothers and soft children, the next generation that will some day replace us and take center stage in worldly affairs. All of this is happening and yet still no progress.
"I am the only one among many of my friends that has no final score to settle. That is to say, User would like to beat me still, but it'll likely never happen. There's little else for me to do for anyone here but guide them to the peak of their skills and turn them loose on the world. The problem is though, once all of this is done, the unknown approaches. I don't think a single one of us has figured out what we'll do once we've finished what we set out to do, especially considering many of us are immortal."
He fell silent for a moment as he mulled it over. Indeed there was much undone, but not much needed doing. Once it all began it would all end save maybe Jade's fight with her brother. She was still a fresh warrior after all this time and it seemed quite a bit off from her desired goal. In his opinion she just needed to be polished, but he wasn't so sure about that one.
"Most of them have lived their entire lives for one thing. I imagine they're probably scared to approach it because then they'd have to put it behind them. After that, very little seems to be worth striving for."

Despite having had no reservations in moving into Unks room in the Orion when they married she ironically still kept access to her own room as a sort of haven. Truth be told she spent more time within its boundaries than in the shared chambers. Due to their unmeshing schedules she found that the floor only felt like home when he was present.
The evening was coming to a close and she wasn't particularily sure what there would be to do once she arrived on the Orions' main floor. Perhaps a night cap was in order. Riding the elevator down she yawned as its doors slid open following its announcing ring.
Blinking unenthusiastically she glanced around the generally empty room caught sight of more activity than there had been since she could remember. In the most abrupt fashion she soon found herself wrapping her arms around her husbands neck from behind, threatening to yank him off his stool. Resting her chin on his shoulder she glance past him waving to Keno.
"Glad to see your still around Keno. I would have thought you had once again vanished to wherever it is you go."
Nuzzling her husbands neck she smiled not saying a word to him, but figuring her actions spoke what she wished to say.

::Unks took in every word Keno said and looked down at the table now and then. Keno was a very wise man in the ways of change and the things around himself and the others in his life. Unks always knew Keno was a man to be respected and he always has respected him since they met. Those last few statements made the boy realize it even more.
Clearing his throat Unks looked back up at his friend and smiled at him givnig him a nod. He was right about one thing, they all had to finish or even start what was on their plates. And of course once those things are finished they will live their lives, and let their children if they had any take control of things.
But the only thing now in Unks' mind was, when he and all his friends settle their scores and take care of what needs to be taken care of go their own ways, or would they continue to be close and live amongst one another? Only time can tell the answer to that question for sure.
"Your one hundred percent correct with those words Keno. . ."
Feeling the soft embrace of his wife's arms around him and her chin on his shoulder Unks smiled and returned her nuzzle with one of his own. He looked back at Keno moving his hand to hold one of Pith's::

"No doubts about it my dear mage I will return soon enough, there should be no second thoughts about that. However for now I would rather try to keep as much company as possible. Since I never know when I'll return I must make the best of each day I spend on Earth." He was smiling, but obviously...only his left eye. A happy couple was of course a good couple.
"This evening I was lucky enough to have your husband keep me company. I was just sharing a few words with him in reference to the current and likely future state of Orion. Grim though it may be, I'm afraid I'm not much of an optimist." He cut himself off there, not wanting to dampen his, or their, mood.
"Perhaps when I return the next time I will have explored a little bit of religious literature. I'm not much of a scholar, but I do feel an urge to get closer to the gods; to understand this world of theirs, whoever they may be. Perhaps we can have some interesting conversations at that time yes? But for now, let's stick to what I know."

::Unks looked at Keno and smiled listening to him. He looked at Pith which she seemed to turn into dead weight on his back. She seemed tired and this proved it she feel alseep against him. He smiled and shook his head slightly so not to disturb her sleep. He looked back over at Keno and spoke softly.
"Sorry to cut this short Keno but it seems it is past my wife's bedtime. It was good talking to you. Say "bye" before you take off for a while again my friend. So until I see you next, good night KenoTao."
Unks shifted in his chair and scooped his wife up into his arms. He smiled softly at her and kissed her forehead as he moved torwards the elevator that she brought down. He used his mind to get his key out. The doors opened and he stepped into the pod and rode it to their room for the night::

Looked like everyone wanted him to announce his departure this time around. Well he certainly couldn't blame him, but he himself was never too sure when was good bye for sure and when was not. He'd have to keep that in mind though and at least make the effort later on. For now though, it was bed time for him as well. He decided it was best to return to the village for the evening. He had forgotten to visit his 'mother' he realized and a pang of guilt struck him like a gentle stab in the heart.
Rising from his seat, he made his way for the door, preferring to take to the sky this evening and gaze at the glory of the moon above and the blanket of clouds below. The world up there was breath taking and he considered it a shame that most humans only saw it when they hopped across oceans.
The doors opened obediently before him and closed just as loyally behind. Were anyone to be outside, they'd probably see him flying up into the veil of clouds that shielded the surface from star and moonlight.
