((Ah, well, in case you ever get your hands on another one...Tabs are like looking down at your guitar while playing it. So let's say the tab says

F
C
G
C
The chord closest to you, or the thickest on is the C at the bottom.
The G is the one on top of that one, and the process repeats.
Now, playing the frets is easy, too.
D
A
F
C
G---5---5-----
C-0---0-------
The little silver lines on the guitar are called frets.
That diagram, if you will, means that on the first chord, or C, you don't hold down any strings along the neck of the guitar. You just pluck that string, and that's the note you need to play.
For the G, you move down below the fifth fret, or silver line, and hold down the chord, and that is the note that the diargram is telling you to play.
