Randee continued on walking home.

Kimi's eyes widened and her jaw dropped.
"Princess?" asked Kimi, suspicious. She didn't truly care too much as the day has been so brutal, but Kimi certainly didn't want to miss this.

"Princess...? Who said any about me being a princess..." Zira snapped her mouth shut blushing abit.

"Why yes when I knew Zira as she was foal, she was princess of a land called the outlands of the savanah. She was supposed to become a queen when she was the age she is now. Which makes me wonder why....." Kanati was inturupted

"Kanati shush, I dont want anyone knowing that part of my life." Zira whispered to Kanati. "Kimi, dear...Kanati is old and fool of silly stories. Why your a princess just as much as I was." The fear and despreration of the villiage seemed to be faided in atleast Zira's mind.

Kimi sighed.
"Uh, another secret then?" asked Kimi, rolling her eyes with a smirk.

" hmmm could be a while till then." Rahu laided down next to Sgina and curled in his spot. ofcourse he knew she would be annoyed with the presense of Kimi and Randee. snorting he laided his head down. " if you want to keep a look out you can, as i think it would be smart to rest though."

Teyha frowned as she walked the village, eyes narrowed. These 'hoofprints'... were those clawmarks on them? She blinked, settling her hoof into one of the prints gingerly and staring. What a strange Soquili... but everything else, the slashing, the wounding... it screamed coyote. What horrible Soquili had bred with a ciyite to create such evil? Was it even possible for such a thing to have occurred?

She knew one thing- if any soquili could have found a way to breed with a coyote in order to create such evil, it would be a kalona. Though she doubted any of them even knew what would have sprung from them. She giggled, imagining the child that would spring from, say, Calamity and a coyote. The image brought tears of mirth to her eyes but she stayed silent, instead choosing to seek more clues.

Sgina glared at Rahu as if he had just spit in her face. She stood up and moved far enough that she was still in the hidding spot but that she was no where near Rahu. If there was something she hated more than soquilli, more than two leggers it was sleeping near someone or even just laying near them. She curled on the ground and looked over the villiage. Sgina thought over how the day had gone. She felt no sadness of loosing her family her sister, all she felt was a slight excitment of seeing the creature tonight. And a fire of hatred for the two leggers, her family, and even Rahu. She wanted to rest but counldnt she stood and paced abit before she walked over to a tree and pounded it with her hoofs scrapping the bark from it. Sgina turned and kicked it with her back beat. It seemed she was just mindlessly pounding on the tree but to her that tree represented everything she hated. She kept going till she tired herself out, Sgina had a few cuts on her legs from slipping on the tree but didnt seem to care. She made her way back to where she had been lying before and flopped down driftting into a restless sleep.

Silent Spy
Kimi sighed.
"Uh, another secret then?" asked Kimi, rolling her eyes with a smirk.

"Yes Kimi, keep it secret. I dont want anyone knowing about it...not even you." she growled abit about Kanati's big mouth."You know Kimi your mother looked familiar.....where did dhe come from?" Zira asked watching Randee dissappear out of sight.

"The savanah region," said Kimi. "She's told me many stories about that place. Her family and herd were all killed when a pack of lions attacked, but she was the lone survivor."
Kimi bowed down her head, wishing she could meet at least one of her mother's relatives.

"Interesting I should like to meet your mother Kimi. What's got her so down anyways?" Zira said sniffing the air abit.

Miss Cherie
Her doing? If Maeryn had been a dog she would have growled. Oh ho. Did Calamity just half accuse her of destroying her own home stretch? I think not! "My doing?" she nearly purred, dangerously wrathful. "My doing indeed. Oh, I think not. Why would I desecrate my own home, Calamity?" She seethed internally, eyes crackling a hellfire color that was almost unnatural.

Cal watched her eyes flash, and her passion caused his own heart to lurch in kind. "The truth is, I don't know you well enough to gauge if you're capable of such behavior. You'll have to forgive my assuptions of the women of our race."

He lowered his head and laughed darkly. "My sister and mother, for example...would certainly be capable of this. I simply assumed you would too."

Raising his eyes to survey the damage, he continued. "The question remains then...what did this?"

Maeryn laughed, a low, evil laugh that seemed to go hand in hand with her mood. Or perhaps, hoof in hoof. "Oh, please. Make more assumptions. I will certainly enjoy stomping them into the mud like the misshapen things they are." A bit more seriously, she considered his question. "Hmm. Well, thus far no one has come forward to take responsibility for this destruction. My guess would be that there is someone new involved, and perhaps one or two others. If it was someone familiar that led the attack, than they would probably have left behind traceable clues. Soquili, two-leggers... they all have mannerisms, and personal scents." She shrugged, and flicked her tail, surveying the damage. "It stinks of ... canine. Perhaps that is due to the pelt the elder two-legger wears." Dimly, she was aware of Rot's lingering presence, and took it into consideration in her dealings with Calamity.

Ever paced behind the crowd as her two-legger had gone up to speak with the chief. She flicked her tail nervously as her icy blue eyes looked about her. There were Soquilis of all colors, breeds, and ages. It was almost like a dream, but the world around her was being destroyed and no one was able to see who the culprit might be. The starting of a nightmare.

She back peddled once more, away from the crowd and turned around, nearly running her nose into the rump of Maeryn.
"Oh. Sorry. Sorry," she said as she danced away, just missing the two-leggers that were behind her. This event had her so skiddish that one wrong move and she would be in worse danger than was already present.

"Well now, you've certainly put in quite a deal of detective-work on this." He smirked, consciously ignoring her earlier statements. Maeryn, he realized, was quite adamant about raising Cal's ire. It seemed her sharp tongue was a means with which to prove her cunning and strength. But what was she trying to prove?

Calamity put away the thoughts for a more convenient time and merely nodded in understanding, putting the pieces together for himself. "Well then, have the two-leggers gone to the elder yet? Because I see no other trace of any sort of canine here."

He shook out his mane and watched her out of the corner of her eye. "No dog or man did this."

His voice was quiet, and he signed slowly as the little doubtful thoughts crept forward again. "Look at them, Maeryn. The humans are just as dumbfounded...and they live here. If coyotes or wolves attacked their village, someone would have heard. They would already be out on the hunt for the pack responsible."

He turned and eyed a deep, jagged gash in a totem pole beside them. "And no human I've ever encountered is fierce enough to do this. We're dealing with something entired new here, I suppose."

Sgina awoke not able to sleep. She looked around and from her hidding place she could see the kalona she had met earlier. These kalona's were respected as something evil from birth. Why was it that Sgina could not earn the same respect as they did. Was it because she was a wind? No matter one day they would eat their words. See stood up and paced abit waiting for night to fall.

Maeryn was mortally offended that the little lesser (in her mind) mare had all but bumped into her. "Yes... ask me for my forgiveness. Perhaps I will even grant it..." she hissed. At least their skin hadn't come into contact. With a barely concealed shudder, she ignored the timid creature, and concentrated on Calamity's observations. "So you say... but then why does the stench of a canine creature reek from it all? Perhaps it is a new creature, but if so... where is it?"

True, that was her own thought. "You are gifting the humans with more intelligence than they deserve. It is entirely likely that they have been taken for fools. Yes, there is a possibility that it is something new. Something not yet seen. Still, one should not rule out the old."

For that would leave them unguarded against the threat, something that the Kalona was not willing to do. Well, for herself and her herd (her kind even), maybe. She dug a hoof into the earth, thinking. "I think that we deal with a mixture between the new and the old. Something that could attack without being suspected of it." That was also likely. But what was it? "Coyotes... are not pack animals. They work alone." She was thinking of what he had said, of a pack. "Wolves will howl, and make much noise. Coyotes are a bit sneakier than that. Are they not revered for it by the two-leggers?" A useless observation, largely.
