Alex gave Silvia a look of concern. "Wow that has to be rough. Are you sure you'll be alright?" he asked. He may have just got to the lab, but he cared about the people he met. Though he didn't know her well Silvia seemed like a nice person..err...fox person.
Looking up at the Minotaur he crossed his arms and pondered her question about food. "Surprise me, I'll eat anything!" he grinned then stopped for a moment. "Uhh...well nothing that's still alive that is."
Olivia flew over to Silvia and sat on her head. Rubbing one of her ears she looked down at her. "Oh my that seems like a lot of strain my Dear." the mature womanly side stated. "I am quite sorry for my antics earlier. I couldn't control myself. I was surprisingly giddy, it felt so odd... I fear that I might have caused everyone harm. Flowers are wonderful, but not when they're growing out of control and attacking people. I have yet to understand my powers." she sighs placing a hand upon her forehead.
Olivia wondered who the author of this book was! It looked very ancient now that she was able to get a good and close look at it. "Whoever the person in this book is, they have suffered a lot. I am hoping this tale has a happy ending..but it may not. Sorry in advance if you find me a sobbing mess later. When I changed my emotions sort of heightened, so it's hard to controlly-troll...err...uhem, control them!" she blushed sheepishly.
"A part of me just wants to play and dance, but I am a businesswoman so the person I used to be doesn't always want to." she sighed frowning slightly. "Though I am glad I could be a part of this, and now feel so comfortable. My workers will be shocked to see me so adorable and small though. It's rather odd being so small, and yet..I don't seem to mind it one bit."
Olivia finally had been able to speak after being so silly and goofy the last hour. When Finita asked what she wanted her stomach growled and she blushed with embarassment. "I have a strange and sudden craving for fruit and sweet things. Just order a fruit cup or something Head Scientist, I doubt I'll be eating much with this tiny body of mine!" Olivia giggled.
Ratchet smiled at Finita then noticed the unconcious woman. "Oh? Is she going to be alright Fin?" he asked walking over to the Minotaur. "Lemme guess she fainted when she saw you right? Are you alright about that?" he asked with concern.
No one in the lab, even the workers, thought she was a monster. Though any outsiders coming into the project might, that was something Ratchet was always concerned about. Shaking it off he smiled at her. "I'll eat whatever, I'm not that hungry tonight. How about some curry as well? That sounds kind of good right now actually."

She scribbled down more on her pad.
Surpise... Alex...scribble scribble scribble.Curry for Ratchet...scribble scribble scribble.Fruit cup for Olivia...
Well, if I read too much I get nosebleeds... I know they tend to signal something bad, but I haven't gotten one in a while, so I think I'm ok. I just might need a break every few chapters. I said to Alex.
Feeling something land in my hair my ears did a neat trick where they borth swiveled inward to listen to Olivia as she spoke.
It's allright. It was quite new to me too... my true form is a massive fox the size of a human, and I went to pick something up and I went "Damn! I have no thumbs!" and yes... they have. That wizard spares no one. I said. Though, something bothers me... about the story... it's one of the details about the Wizard. Even in bright sunlight, he is covered in a dark shadow. It's almost like the Wizard, who already seems powerful enough, is possessed by something. Looking through the eyes of the Traveler, his eyes seem free of the shadow... and they look like they're screaming for help. It's... jarring, watching the big man laugh manically while slaughtering innocents while his eyes bug out at what he's doing...

Finita looked up from her scribbles at Ratchet's question. She sighed.
It's... I cannot say I'm surprised, Ratchet. She clearly wasn't expecting the head scientist to be a Minotaur. It... hurts, but I doubt that until she gets the situation explained to her fully she will want too... well, be anywhere near me. Though, I have been surprised by the women who have signed up so far. I'm just grateful that no one else has panicked and ran off screaming at the sight of me.

Estelle found that the water in the tank that held Cecelia said to her eyes not poison... but Death. It made her hair curl and gave her an insane urge to get as far away from that tank as possible... it was like a hard knee jerk reaction.
Cecelia looked down at the dwarf and was wondering why the dwarf's hair was frizzing around the dwarf lass's head like an afro. "Are you allright?"
The Siren had been listening as well, and she was not looking ad not only the dwarf, but the dis-heartened faces of everyone in the room. She slipped back into the waters of the tank, before picking up her Lyre and singing a quiet calming song that settled into the background of all in the room. Everyone found themselves soothed by the song even if they barely noticed it...
Shini sat bolt upright convinced she had been having another strange dream. She laughed and stretched before opening her eyes. "Minotaur's! I only see those in really bad B-list films! Get ahold of yourself girl. when you open your eyes every one is going to need to be assured their own psychologist hasn't cracked her coconut." she thought to herself in a mental pep talk. She then opened her eyes to prepare to apologize for her fainting spell and promiss toget ready to work with them all...

Shini was greeted by the sight of a young woman with silver hair sitting nearby who had quite large pair of fox ears and a very fluffy silver fox tail... she was talking to a fairy on her head, who very small with blue hair, and was speaking rather maturely.
Over near a table there was the Minotaur woman from before, writing down food orders... there was also a small stone woman with extremely curly hair that almost looked like an afro looking up at a large tank of water in which there appeared to be a mermaid... who was singing... the music was quiet but beautiful... and strangely soothing.
There was also a older woman with a snake tail and four cobras sticking out of her her long gold and black striped hair... she was huddled in front of a large heater and wearing a thick pair of dark glasses.
There were also two young male scientists in lab coats... one was talking to the Minos woman while making sure the snake lady was getting enough heat from the heater...

Seeing the woman Finita had brought in wake up, I glanced over at her.
Shini squared her jaw and looked hard at each thing before her. She knew real from unreal. Even extra ordinary things still had to cohabitate in a world of natural laws. She looked at each being. Looked at their features their movements.... it was all too organic... to stable to be fake or costumes. even the eyes had wrinkles wet shines. These being were real and she was among them... She was in a room full of ancient primeval figures depicted on ancient folklore with a Kitsune telling her not to panic. The reservation had always spoken of the spirits and of the things of the supernatural world coexisting with us but she had only ever encountered the talk. She stood calmly and then smiled warmly. "Why would I panic madam fox? You might all be exceptional cases of women in exceptional circumstances as being cooped up in a rather area 51 like lab... but! I'm here to help you ladies! Come hell or high water that's what I'm going to do!"

Looking up at her as she stood and smiled, I smiled back. I then rose after her and held out a hand.
Well, then. I am Silvia Ameras. This little blue haired fairy is Olivia. She likes flowers a lot.
I turned and gestured to the others. You've already met Finita, the Minotauress over there. She's a whiz when it comes to crafting metals. Estelle is the little stone woman. A dwarf. Cecelia is the Siren in the tank, and Helena is the Gorgon over there. As you've probably guessed, I'm the Kitsune. We haven't been like this very long... most of us are still adjusting to it all.
Finita, upon hearing her name, looked up. Her ears wiggled. Oh! You're awake! She hurried over. You okay? The fainting worried me there. I'm ordering dinner for everyone, since we're all hungry. Are you?
Ratchet smiled at the young woman. At least she hadn't run out of the building screaming bloody murder! That was a relief. As Silvia introduced everyone, he gave Finita a pat on the back before stepping up to Shini with a kind smile.
"Hello there, I'm Ratchet Clemetts. One of the scientists here helping out with this Project. If you need anything from me, or Alexander over there let us know. As Silvia said many of the women here have just transformed recently. So we don't know a whole lot about what powers they have, or if they have any." he introduced holding his hand out to shake hers.
It was nice meeting a fellow scientist as well. Ratchet was glad for the help, the more the merrier as well!

Shini was trying very hard to take it all in stride the need to do so now compounded by the information that these girls were not only here in a lab setting but also the fact that they were once human girls not long ago. They all had to have had reasons of one kind or another seeing as none of them were being given the Frankenstein treatment; They must be volunteers. All displayed co operation skills with one another and showed the budding signs of pairing up and adopting at least for what was available to them and from what Shini could see healthy bonding behaviors. For now if she was to be accepted so they could feel comfortable with her it would be important to spend some time interacting with them now in as unassuming a manner as possible. She shook Ratchets hand and bowed her head smiling respectfully and warmly. "Nice to meet ya! You can call me Shini and I'll be taking care of the mental health of the women here. Their powers wont matter as much to me unless its impacting their mental or emotional condition. Don't let me stop you furious scribbling in your clip boards though! I'm sure I'll end up doing that plenty myself pretty soon. I'm totally fine red-bull! thanks for the concern though. As for the food! ... How about a couple beers, A nice batch of corn nuggets, and some rabbit stew! Having your entire perceptive filter of the world shaken like an etch a sketch builds a woman's apatite!"
"Lass that water is literally burning me hair! Estelle stood and took a few steps away from the tank. She had spent the morning perfectly styling her hair to perfection adding the conditioner... not that it mattered with being made of stone now. She saw that Cecilia looked a little downcast for the dwarf's outburst, but she broke into a son that Made Estelle feel calm and happy."I'm alright though, I know ye meant know harm."
She perked up when she heard the door come open. Another woman and a scentist at that. Estelle waved at her. Least she didn't look at her and the others with disdain.

Cecelia frowned at the dwarf. She was a puzzling creature and the first she could think of that reacted negatively to the substance that gave most being life on this planet. It was a boggling thought to contemplate. The mere concept of being unable to touch water was alien to her. Like not being able to swim. She shook her head, almost losing her song. She was a siren now. When was she going to get used to new surprises? Cecelia let her song drift away, but continued to play the melody on her harp. It was a calm task, It never stop pleasing her. This also left her with the ablility to converse with the little woman. "I will remember that in the future. I would hate to cause you any more harm." she said with an apologetic nod and a soft smile. "It's a shame you can't enjoy the water." She was careful not to part her lips when she spoke. She too noticed her more pointed teeth and did not want to unnerve anyone.

Helena blinked sluggishly when someone touched her forehead, looking up to see one of the male scientists talking to her. She knew they had met earlier that morning and she tried to recall the name that went with the face but came up blank. She unwrapped her arms from her body and straightened from her hunched over pose, trying to pretend she wasn't freezing.
"Oh no, I'm fine, I'm fine. I'm just not used to the temperature in here now that I'm acclimated to the jungle temperatures. It's a little uncomfortable but nothing more" Helena brushed off his concern, waving her painted fingernails at him, her bracelets jingling, as he draped his coat over her shoulders. She pulled it closer to her, just so it wouldn't slip off. "Er, thank you, you didn't have to do that. The book is more important. I can warm up in my room when we are done here yes? I'll be fine" she stammered.
Having to admit to someone why she hadn't mentioned her needs felt foolish. What would have happened if she'd fallen asleep? She would have looked a right ninny. Could she get hypothermia from the air conditioning? Helena wanted to laugh. It was probably a good thing someone noticed her predicament. She shook her head at the follow-up offer of sustenance however, not wishing to draw any more attention to herself. After all, she was sure she was older than most of the people in here. It was ridiculous that she be taken care of by the youngsters. She had gotten herself into this and she would look after herself.
"I appreciate the offer of food and drink but I already placed an order with Finita Thank you very much for the concern though, I do love coffee. I'm just not sure it would go so well with a curry" she chuckled and mustered a slight smile that didn't show much of her fangs, speaking in a friendly and open tone of voice.
The hisses that fed into her mind told her that the forked tongues which tasted the information around them were picking up on fear. Fear...being restrained in her presence and yet, here was this man trying to help her. She was all the more appreciative of his kindness for the fact. Yet she would not want him to feel he had to help her just because she was one of the volunteers. It must be difficult for him enough with all these women who were mythical creatures.
"Sure, certainly" She nodded obdiently when he explained that the scientists and himself were there to help but sighed in relief when he disappeared, it was too much attention on her and she felt silly enough.
Thinking he was gone, she relaxed and the smile disappeared. She went back to shivering and her teeth chattered slightly. She tried shifting her body and recoiling it more tightly in an attempt to get extra heat but her body didn't warm like a normal human's would. Her blood was cool, reptilian now. The cold wasn't blowing against her, it was sinking into her, slowly changing her temp to match the environment. Helena closed her eyes and pictured the comforting sun warmed rock. They say that when you're cold and think of warm things, you can trick yourself into feeling warm, and it worked the same for hot environments. She would give it a try.
Feeling a warm breeze on her body, she sighed, uncoiling and stretching out her shining silken scales to drink in that warmth. My, the power of imagination, or the brain! It was truly marvelous.
Wait, what was that humming, whooshing sound? She thought she heard a click before too. Opening her eyes, Helena looked around to see Ratchet walking away from a heater unit and she blushed faintly. Oh. A heater. "Uh, thank you for the heater" Helena called after Ratchet, snuggling closer to it

Once Finita had everyone's orders written down she headed outside to call for delivery from several different places.
With that she returned and headed over to Cecelia's tank, bringing out some more metal and starting to make a sort of table on the side edge of the tank for Cecelia to eat at as she waited for the food to arrive... She smiled and waved her tail and wiggled her ears to the beat... she even hummed along... though Cecelia was only the first to notice that the Minos woman's humming was wayy out of tune as she worked...

It was about a half hour later as two scientists came in with a large cart laden down with food.
They collected around the table and started to place what everyone had ordered; for Shini a batch of corn nuggets, some thick and hearty rabbit stew, and two Samuel Adams. For Finita, a very large bowl of Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo with a very large Ceaser Salad. For Olivia, she got a fruit cup full of mixed fruit that was larger then she was. For Silvia was the normal huge bag marked "Miss Nigiri" full of sushi and a bottle of Sake... for Estelle, four bottles of Black Spiced Kraken Rum as well as another large steak sub, this time cooked in the stuff. Helena and Ratchet got two medium* spicy curries on rice. Alex had gotten an order of sushi as well, and Cecelia was served her crab and salmon on the new table/tray attached to the top of her tank.
Upon the arrival of the food I headed over to the table and sat down infront of my book and the bag of sushi placed there... I started to carefully place the sushi in a pretty arrangement in front of me.
Finita settled down at the head of the table and unpacked her Alfredo and salad....
* Since most Indians consider Americans to be wimps when it comes to food, to us their mild is our medium, their medium is our hot, and their hot is our extra hot.... Finita got "Medium"... I'm sure you can see where I'm going with this.
Helena had thawed out quite nicely by the time the meal had arrived and she was both pleasantly sleepy and comfortable in front of the small space heater. She basked luxuriously under its artificial breeze, looking for all the world like a superstar with her languid pose. Her long hair streamed down her back and over one shoulder, designer shades winking at passersby and her head tilted slightly back as she leaned most of her weight on one hand, the other gently resting over her lap. Her jewellery glittered and twinkled and the lotus in her hair flashed and shone, emitting a faint yet scintillating perfume. Of course, Helena had not a clue how she was looking to others. She had her eyes closed, day dreaming, off in a tropical jungle filled with beauty and bright colours. She was draped, sunbathing over her favourite warm rock beside a burbling stream. Ahhh, yes, she was on holiday, relaxing off the funds her spa resort had made when it won the award for best salon retreat...she felt so 'melty' and warm...
Then the scent of food drifted to her on the breeze and Helena's tongue flicked out, tasting several flavours all at once. Her golden eyes popped open and momentarily, she was lost in the confusion of snake voices and her realisation of gnawing hunger. "Mmmm, that tassstess deliciousss" her whispered words came out with that lisp. She was passionate about eating this meal! A larger body needed a larger energy source and that salad she'd eaten hours ago now seemed as sustainable as air.
'Ssss, sussstenance approachesss' 'Devour the meal, sss'
'conssssume' 'Sssss Sssss!'
Chuckling and licking her lips, Helena reached up to soothe them "All right my petsss, all right, we will- ow!"
She withdrew her hand sharply as her finger was nipped and images of her tucking into a large spoonful of curry assailed her.
'Ssorry missstresss' The one that nipped her gently rubbed against her cheek by way of apology. She petted its nose. "It'ss okay, you didn't mean to. I am possitively ssstarving all of a sssudden!"
By eating, she was going to feed them also. She sucked the tip of her pointer finger where beads of blood had appeared and despite reluctance to move far from the heater, she slithered forwards closer to the table and reached out for her curry, removing her finger just long enough to talk to Finita.
"Thank you, Head Sss...." Helena stopped, blushing at her slip-up. She didn't mind it when talking to her snakes but when around others it was a different matter.
"Er, Finita. This is just what I wanted. Actually, I didn't realisse how much I wass craving"
She licked her lips again with that thin forked tongue, swallowing saliva as she picked up her takeaways. "Oh! Pardon me, I am nearly drooling! Transsformation certainly workss up an appetite"
Although, now that she tasted it, all the other flavours of different foods in the area made her feel slightly 'off'.
Taking her curry with a fork and her apple tea, she slithered sleeky back away near the heater, so she and her serpents could focus only on her own food. Helena inhaled the smell deeply, tasting the essence of curry on her tongue, along with her snakes. "Mmmmm~"

Ratchet smiled at the new scientist and held back a chuckle. My something told him she loved hearty food, but he was glad Shini was feeling better. "Well if you need anything, then don't hesitate to ask for my or Alexander's help Shini." he said pointing to the young man still sitting at the table with Silvia. The fairy hadn't noticed the new comer yet, but he figured she would probably dive in and say hello eventually.
Looking around the room a faint smile feel upon his face. It was odd still, knowing that before these were ordinary women, but now he was getting used to it. Give him a few months and everything would be fine. There were only a few more transformations to go and hopefully that would be the end of this.
Yet he wondered. What if there were other people out there, other races not mentioned in the tome Silvia read to them, that had yet to be discovered or awakened? Smiling at Finita he watched her walk off and place everyone's orders.
When the food came it was sort of a mad house. It was amazing how hungry these women were! Maybe supernatural creatures ate a lot more than Humans? Still he took his food over and happily set next to Silvia. Kissing her cheek he smiled at her. "How are you holding out?" he cooed to her with concern. ================================================= Olivia suddenly leaped off of Silvia's head when her food arrived! Flying around she gasped when she noticed Shini "Oh my a new friend!!" she giggled and happily sat on the woman's head. Peering down she waved cutely to her. "Hello I'm Olivia! What's your name?" she asked with curiosity and child like demeanor. It seemed that her child-like side had won over again. ==================================================
Alex had waved over and said a pleasant "Hey!" to Shini when Ratchet spoke his name! She was kind of cute actually. It was nice having another scientist on board! It was also nice to have someone new like him to the project as well.
When the food arrived he was surprised. Alex had never had sushi before, but he wasn't going to rudely turn it down. He did say to be surprised. Thanking Finita he passed Shini. "Why not join us? There's plenty of room at the table! I'm new to this project as well so it's nice to have someone to experience all the new things with." he said kindly to her smiling warmly.
He was a friendly person, just like Ratchet was. Which was a good thing.
(OOC: there hopefully I covered everyone as well. xP sorry if my characters missed anyone. ^^; )
Shini waved back to Estelle with a warm smile before Olivia came flitting over to her head. Shini did her best to look up as the fairy as it perched on her head. “Well hello new lady of the seasons Olivia! My name is Shini! It’s very nice to meet you.” Said Shini as her eyes screwed up into a slightly silly cross eyed stare as she tried to meet Olivia’s gaze. It was then that Alex spoke to Shini with a warm smile. “New isn’t the half of it!” She responded as she came to sit with the others. “So! How did all this transformation business get started? It’s some pretty weird science if you ask me! Especially when from what I gather the head of the project becomes a specimen herself! Doesn’t that usually contaminate all semblance of objective perspective for the project; especially when the topic seems complete transformation from one set of biological functions to another?”
