YOU HAVE MY SWORD! In her anger, she slashed at the doll in front of her, and this time managed to knick the leathery skin that covered the arm. Not a very strong attack, but it was better then nothing. Poke then stepped back quickly before it could attack her. YOU HAVE MY SWORD! Poke had stop step back, taking some time to catch her breath. She had swung her sword so many times now, she was starting to get tired. Didn't Cybele mention something about always being aware of the possibility of fatigue? She pushed the notion aside for now. She couldn't take the time to think about it, for her opponent was almost defeated. Only a few more hits, and she would win! With these thoughts in mind, she charged forward, intending to take it down in one fell swoop, but only managed to knick it once more. And since she didn't bother to defend herself, The mannequin was able to hit her back, it's chubby arm smacking her right on the top of her head. YOU HAVE MY SWORD! Again, she moved towards the doll, bringing her sword up then slashing down it's chest and leaving another tear. It stumbled backwards, but then literaly tackled Poke in the next second, Pushing the ghoul backwards. "One more...just one more hit.." She puffed. SWEET VICTORY! YOU HAVE MY SWORD! Poke waited for the Doll to come at her again, waited for just the right moment, and then sidestepped, stepping around the doll and using all her strength, pushed the sword deep into the body of the mannequin. And just like that, it stop moving. She waited for a few moments, just to make sure, before she practically collapsed herself. Sitting on the floor, she leaned back, taking in huge lung fulls of air as she regained her breath. The fight had taken it out of her, and she would like nothing better than to go and rest. For now, she got to her feet again abd pulling the sword out, placing it back on the rack, and then went to the side of the room so she could watch the others and their fights. YOU HAVE MY DAGGER!Deacon had wandered in with the rest of the class, and as many others his eyes traveled to the weapons rack as soon as they arrived. After spending the day before fighting with vine, rock and bee he was surely not the only one anxious to get a real weapon in his hands.
Smiling had become rather rare for him as of late, but the news that they would actually be fighting brought one to his lips.
Eager, the bakeneko stepped up when they were permitted and selected a dagger before he moved to where Cybele had instructed those to go if they chose a blade. He didn't want a bow. Bows were for cowards who didn't want to be face to face with their opponent. Deacon wanted the satisfaction that came with feeling the strike.
He hated these creepy mannequins, though.
Once his was activated, Deacon took a defensive stance and waited on it to come at him. He took a swipe with the blade and barely made contact, but at least it was something... Though, he didn't draw back fast enough and the mannequin got in a hit, too. Deacon hissed at it in retaliation.

YOU HAVE MY DAGGER!Another lunge, another swift swipe of the dagger at hand. He still wasn't doing as much damage as he wanted to, because oh how he wanted to destroy this thing. At least this time when the leather clad puppet tried to counter his attack the tabby managed to dodge out of the way entirely.

YOU HAVE MY DAGGER!He already thought that maybe he should have chosen a sword... Perhaps swinging that would have caused more damage and permitted him to keep the mannequin away from him a little more.
In taking a foolish moment to glance toward a nearby student using just that, he dropped his guard and was painfully forced back to reality from a punch to the front of his right shoulder.
Shouting at his opponent with incoherent annoyance, he jabbed at the offending arm with the dagger.
At this rate, it was going to take him hours to whittle the thing down piece by piece...

YOU HAVE MY DAGGER!The next time his leather opponent made a swipe at him, Deacon managed to twist to one side and shrug off most of the blow. His body still ached from the hits he had taken, but it was worth it when he swiftly sank the dagger into the mannequin's side. Finally, a good stab!
He was quick to jerk it free again, ready to finish it off. Surely it was almost defeated, especially with the way it staggered when it moved back from the blow. Mindless as it was, though, he knew it would be coming right back for more.
