YOU HAVE MY SWORD! His second strike was truer, slicing into the mannequin, but it didn't seem to do anymore damage than the first. YOU HAVE MY SWORD! Getting a little cocky, and sure of himself, Renshu made a swing that missed the mannequin entirely. Then, the mannequin struck out and caught him under his ribs. Another hit that he should have been able to dodge. He hissed, clearly disappointed with himself. How could he let a mannequin get the better of him? YOU HAVE MY SWORD! He struck with the intention of redeeming himself, and this time the tip of the sword sunk into the mannequin. YOU HAVE MY SWORD! Renshu took a deep breath and drew his thoughts inwards. He exhaled and lunged. This time the sword sank deep into the mannequin. YOU HAVE MY SWORD! He sliced at the mannequin but wasn't able to react fast enough to counter it's blow to his shoulder. Renshu winced, he'd taken a lot of damage from some stupid mannequin and had clearly underestimated his "opponent"; a mistake that he would not repeat. SWEET VICTORY! YOU HAVE MY SWORD! Renshu raises his sword as if to attack, but before he can move, the mannequin lunges. The surprised attack catches the boy off guard and the mannequin's sword hits his already sore shoulder again. His second attack is focused, slicing right through the mannequin, putting an end to the embarrassing exercise. Renshu stands straight and grabs at his shoulder, as if it will ease the pain. YOU HAVE MY SWORD!
So, today they would be using the weapons that everyone had been hoping to use. Even with her preferences for hand to hand combat, Poke was beginning to feel the intense interest that everyone else had. She watched Cybele demonstrate three different weapons, point out their various strengths and weakness. And then it was time for her to choose.
The dragoness looked at each of the weapons in turn, thinking about which one suited her the most. The dagger was certainly not one of her choices; She wasn't very fast, nor sneaky enough for a surprise attack. The bow she considered more thoughtfully; she believed herself to have pretty good eyesight, which she figured was something you needed to have when trying to shoot at far away objects. But she preferred the up close and personal feel of a fight, not picking off enemies from far away. Which left only one option, the sword.
There was a sense of irony in her choice, as she picked up a sword from the rack, examining it before taking her place in front of a mannequins . She was sure that many a dragon had been slain by a knight, whom usually wielded swords or other large weaponry in order to fight such massive monsters.
her thoughts were disturbed when her opponent decided to make the first move, rushing at her with it's stubby arms raised. With no time to react, Poke mimicked Cybele's move, turning the blade on it's side to block the incoming attack.

YOU HAVE MY DAGGER!
Whisper wasn't quite sure if this class was more exciting then the last, but she was happy to learn how to properly use a good weapon. She truly appreciated gaining this knowledge, something wonderfully unexpected. She had a hard time deciding which weapon she wanted to learn more with, as all were so tempting. The ghoul almost went for the bow, but the dagger seemed to draw her in a little more.
She held it tightly and took her position. Whisper definitely liked fighting the mannequins better then attacking a still dummy. It was just more real, and felt like it lent more experience. The mannequin activated, and promptly attacked. These things really didn't waste any time. But luckily, she was able to dodge the attack quite nicely. Unfortunately, her attack seemed to do nothing to her opponent. Honestly, that didn't surprise her.

YOU HAVE MY SWORD! With her sword in hand, Poke began to experiment with using the weapon to fight. This was certainly a lot different to those sticks from yesterday. It was much heavier, and a littler hard to wield for the inexperienced ghoul. Thankfully her tail helped to provide extra balance as she stepped forward, swinging the sword in a wide arc at the mannequin. She was rewarded with seeing it move back as the blade hit, but it soon recovered, moving back to punch her. With little time to block, she took the hit. There wasn't as much room here as there had been in the woods, but Whisper seemed to be managing just fine. She was getting used to constantly moving, and was surprised that she had never really fought like this before. Her speed allowed her to manoeuvre quite easily, and she used it to her advantage to attack. However, she wasn't able to dodge the quick counter that the mannequin made.

Quick, zig-zagging movements allowed her to move around the living doll with ease, only taking minimal damage. She liked this style of fighting. It meant she could save her other strengths for more dire situations, or have a skill to get her out of a pinch. The ghoul knew she would have to tell her ghoulfriend back home all about it when she returned. Perhaps she could even see about getting a class like this at the school. She honestly didn't see a downside to it in any way.
Another quick attack, and she hit the mannequin square in the back. It seemed to be slowing down by a fraction, and she knew soon this fight would be over.

YOU HAVE MY SWORD! "Dammit!" She cursed out loud as her opponent continued to come forward, forcing her to step back while it smacked her across the face once again. She was going to have a sore jaw after this, FEAR shield or not. At once point she tried to stab the mannequin, but it managed to side step her thrust, coming in from the sides. One final stab and the deed was done. The mannequin fell, and Whisper stood victorious. She had taken only a couple hits, and wasn't even tired. Clearly this training was benefiting her greatly. She was becoming a formidable opponent for others to face. Man would her enemies be surprised when she was no longer a meek pup. She was growing into a fierce hellhound warrior who was kicking butt and taking names.

YOU HAVE MY SWORD! How was she having this much trouble with a much stronger weapon, when Yesterday she had only a stick?! Poke was beginning to get fustrated, trying to swing at her opponent only to miss again. Before it could attack her, she brought her sword back to prevent it from smacking her in the face again.
